I remember listening to it on Radio Lancs and the commentators being in disbelief that we had got away with it.
The amazing thing is, we did it again two seasons later, when Morten punched in the winner at the same end. Get in! 😁.

The writing's on the wall. Relegation season.
How many times do we have to see this script? It seems to be happening constantly. Chances coming our way, shit finishing, then the opposition go and score a winner.
Venky's, Waggott, Silvester, the lot of the bastards from the Boardroom, to their advisors, to the cowards in Pune. Every single one of them deserves relegation.
Gutted for the manager, the playing staff and the fans. They've been hung out to dry and us fans don't deserve this shit.

I can't bring myself to comment on the game or the situation the club is in, as it simply angers me a great deal. The way I feel about the owners, their lapdogs and their tosser agent friends, can't be put into words.
I felt from day one that this project would lead us to L1. We've had that toad Waggott come out and say "the aim is to avoid relegation". I fear he's going to get exactly the opposite of that. He and his bosses deserve nothing less. This club has felt cursed ever since they walked through the doors in 2010.
I just want to say how proud I am of Chris Sutton for dropping those truth bombs live on Sky. That's a proper Rovers player right there, he knows about standards at Rovers and he knows bullshit when he hears it.
He was absolutely spot on with what he said. In a nutshell:
JDT hasn't been backed, despite repeated requests for strikers. We've got a CEO talking about avoiding relegation. The ambition at the club is not good enough. We're looking at a development team and asking a development team to win promotion. It simply isn't good enough.
Hearing Sutton speak like that hit me. That's one of 'our own', back from when the club was healthy, saying it how it is. This has got nothing to do with entitlement before some smart arse tries to come out with that crap.
It's quite simply a disgrace what these bastards have been allowed to do to the football club. I don't give a shit about their £20m yearly bill. That does not mean we should silently put up with all of this. Something needs to happen, to get these owners out.

Chelsea have been shite under Poch so far. All the pressure is on them to win something. Tough draw, but it could be the kind of game where our new style surprises them. Looking forward to it.

United at Old Trafford is the one I want. If not, lower Championship or below at home will do.
I'm liking our Keegan-esque style going forward, JDT basically saying "let's have it". The attacking attitude is refreshing. However, we clearly need to sort out the defensive aspect too, games have been too open and basketball like recently. It's entertaining, but we could do without us shipping two or three per game.
There won't be many boring games involving us this season that's for sure. Now is the time for Sky to have a load of our games on!

I don't think anything in English Football will ever beat the Uncle Jack and Rovers story. I've shared this previously on here, but think it's most fitting today and for this thread:
A diehard fan who saw his dream come true. He wanted his club to be the best. He took on the big guns and beat them. Something we will never forget and neither will they, as Rovers' cannot be erased from the Premier League winners list.
Uncle Jack did what almost every football fan would love to do for their club, if they had the resources to do so. This is what makes it more special.
No Saudi, Qatari or any other regime funded title win can match up to what we experienced. Putting the snide remarks from the bitter and jealous aside, there are neutrals who acknowledge how special our title win was. It wasn't some shady, foreign ownership with questionable motives putting money in, it was a real fan and that resonates with many.
I'll never forget how emotionally charged the atmosphere was at the Norwich game, pre kick off, as the tribute was being played on the big screen. I was a youngster at the time, but "time to say goodbye" still gets me even now.
The state of the club today, the low standards and the type of people holding senior positions would sadden Uncle Jack just as much as it saddens us.

It was his debut, yeah. He had a stormer along with Emerton. I would also take Amoruso over most of what we have seen these last 12 years.
It's a game that always brings back great memories for me. Sunny afternoon, optimism in the air, loads of minibuses and taxis full of Rovers fans going down Bolton Road, the excitement at seeing our new signings. Then witnessing that performance. Brilliant.
Our time will come again. Anything can happen to force these bastards out. We're just waiting for that moment.

I presume because we are a small team we don't offer any threat by just wanging it in the box. So we are trying something else. It's not working mind. Our corners are awful. A few times last week they ended up back with Pears.
Yeah, I know they kept doing it last time out too. However, last kick of the game today, looking for a winner, just sling it in, surely? We had nothing to lose by doing that. That's the frustrating part.

Why would you not put that corner in to the box? It's the last kick of the game! The lack of urgency there says a lot about some of them.
We looked done at 2-0, so will take a point. That's twice Hedges has come on to have more impact than the man he has replaced. He's better than Dolan and Markanday imo, though that isn't exactly a high bar.
Better second halves from Szmodics and JRC, and Ennis offers something different. The wide areas need a lot of work before the month is out.
