Wagner please. Just the man for the job.
Agree - the best option in my opinion.

Mid table plodders?
Just like we are then. So what are you on about?
Tony Mowbray: ”We are the team we are, with total respect to Blackburn Rovers, we haven’t been tearing it up in the Premier League for a long time."
Quoted following consecutive defeats to Barnsley, QPR and PNE.
It’s essentially Mowbray admitting he’s failing. Yes, we haven’t been tearing it up in the premier league for a long time, every fan knows that, but we’ve just lost 3 on the bounce in the Championship and we’re sat mid-table so he isn’t exactly ‘tearing it up’ in the Championship either. (we’ve spent all but 6 seasons in our history in the top 2 tiers so where exactly does he think we should be tearing it up?). You can count the number of seasons we’ve spent in the 3rd tier on one dingle hand.

Both QPR and Barnsley have been members of the Premier League. PNE happily have not.
Let's not go down the " we are the bigger club than you route *
What are you talking about?
My point is Mowbray is saying we’re not premier league quality as if to justify these results but we’ve just lost to 3 teams who are mid-table Championship plodders at best.

The thing the irks me the most about that “we’ve not been premier league for a long time” comment is we’ve just lost to QPR, PNE and Barnsley....when was the last time the 3 of them were premier league?
We don’t even look like a decent Championship side despite having 3 alleged future prem stars and a £12m strike force!- 4

Should have been the exact follow up comment/question from the reporter!

I doesn't seem right but I hope we lose to bottom side Nottingham on Saturday as I think that could be the final straw.
They’re only 6 points behind us 😂

The 2 managers are worlds apart.
What even is Mowbrays motivation now. Where is he actually taking us.
Ismael is screaming at his players all the way through. Played for big clubs, good managerial record and a progressive appointment by Barnsley. All credit to them. Not a chance we see anything like that with Waggot overseeing orders here. Imagine your pal from previous jobs is your manager with nobody to answer to. Mental. So many fans lap it up because of ‘stability’ ‘Kean’ etc.

I think the City lad looks lost out there. Maybe I’m being a harsh judge but looks worlds apart from when we had Tosin.

Go 1-0 down and turn to Correy Evans.
Confirmed troll.

Bloody right back (Tony doesn’t name them anymore) letting us down again there.
He’s lost the players, which was probably one of the only things going his way...oh and that he’s not Kean/Coyle etc.

When we spanked Wycombe and Derby 5-0 and 4-0 back to back in September I really didn’t think I’d see us line up with Downing and Bennett playing a 352 this season!
Wont believe Gallagher is playing as a central striker until I see it.

Watford, Reading, Boro, Cardiff and Stoke all picking up 3 points today and all above us.

I agree with this comment. For Nyambe is decent enough but his positional and reading of the game can be poor at times costing us too many goals
Sure big Sam Gallagher and the experienced full back John Buckley both have better positional sense and reading of the game from RB.
It beggars belief and anyone defending those comments would defend Mowbray blind on any decision.- 2

The Mowbray quotes in that Nyambe article are an absolute disgrace. Does he realise he ended up playing Buckley and Gallagher there instead.

Wagner is odds on favourite for the Bournemouth job, shame we’re run by complete shit for brains, as he is just what we need in my opinion and spent 4 successful years just 40 miles away

Mowbray seems to have committed to playing Harwood-Bellis in every game, and now he can/will play him alongside Lenihan.
Looked like he pulled his hamstring or something at the end. Given the amount of injuries we seem to pick up during games it makes Mowbrays comments on the indoor artificial pitch even more baffling.
-
Absolutely dire.
We’ve done nothing this 2nd half despite being behind. Uninspiring changes, no instructions from the sidelines.
Preston wanted it more than us.I’d be fuming if I was Gallagher. Not sure how anybody can defend that decision and the 15 mins or so he was right back.
I’m sick of it, so many better options out there who can take this squad to the top 6 but we carry on plodding along mid-table with Tony and I’m reading articles about how he’s the oracle who is guiding Pep, Carlo and Klopps youngsters.

Don't want to make excuses for Mowbray and his ineptitude but the pitch really does us no favours when trying to play a passing game.
That said the state of the pitch is entirely on the owners. Another bizarre contradiction - want a manager to play expansive football but only pay for a ploughed field to play on).
Maybe he should use our state of the art training facilities instead of the pitch through the week too, the absolute clown
-
What the hell is going on!! Subbing our RB to put Gallagher there. Beyond words. I don’t think I can do this anymore.
-
Had no idea Gallagher was still on the pitch 2nd half

I’m a bit ashamed myself I didn’t know this background on Venus. That absolutely stinks to the high heavens. Mirror image of Coventry and links to property developers.
The Coventry article from earlier is so bizarre, he was caretaker manager but was pitching the business decision to develop houses himself. What the F?
Manager hires his own boss (CEO), unsackable, win over the trust of owners, go about whatever business the hell you want.
This has all hit me a bit this morning, reminiscent of Kean writing his own contract, or back when Williams, Finn etc all left.
So much care went into the development of this club and now we see everyone still have their noses in the troughs.
