  1. Have to say that I disagree with that. A good number of teams were up to tricks, not all though. Of course you can probably say there were one or two unimportant dives from every team, or at least players going down easily, but there were quite a few teams that didn't really do it (England, USA, T&T, Sweden and more), they may have broken rules, had players sent off, whatever, but they didn't cheat.
  2. He is touched, but it was still a dive really. He gets a slight touch and decides to trip himself.
  3. They've most all admitted that none of them played as well as they can, you'll never see a player say he is in an irreversible decline, he may as well give up if he believes that to be the case when he is only 26.
  4. I was getting at the fact that the big names in the French team put pressure on Domenech to ditch the 4-5-1 and recall Trezeguet, he didn't listen to them.
  5. It's a fun little comedy, not some deep drama, relax.
  6. That's exactly what Domenech did.
  7. I have never said anything of the sort, France certainly deserve no praise for the way that they have carried themselves during this tournament.
  8. Certainly not leaving my building tonight.
  9. Maybe should have saved that until after the tournament was finished.
  10. The right team won that. Moment of madness from Zidane, he didn't deserve to touch that trophy. Lesson on how to take penalties from the Italians. Diving and headbutting, the world cup trend continued.
  11. A great dive for the first penalty, good to learn from the game against Portugal.
  12. Shows you how easily people can be hurt by fireworks.
  13. Had Owen said this a year ago I would have thought of that as being fine, saying it during or just before the World Cup would have been wrong, just like I wouldn't want to see one of our players saying something before a big game.
  14. Here come the car horns and the smell of hot dogs cooking in the street is no inescapable. Either way, win or lose, there will be trouble in Paris tonight.
  15. For me the problem isn't so much what he did to Rooney, though I have little respect for that, but more the fact that he so regularly dived, that is why I would be so critical of him as a cheat.
  16. Pires doesn't play because he wouldn't be selected anyway, while Guily also isn't someone Domenech wants to pick, with there being a long list of reasons why, which one you want to believe is up to you. Neither would have been professional, though I think speaking before SGE had left would have been even less professional.
  17. I wouldn't mind a striker playing poorly and scoring goals like he has at Newcastle (when he has been fit).
  18. You obviously didn't see Ronaldo swearing at officials several times during this world cup, as for a stamp, it didn't look much like that to me. I think some of the Ronaldo bashing is over the top, but then so is calling Rooney a thuggish chav.
  19. The French and North African divide is very strong. France are quite happy for what non-French would see as foreigners playing for them, they don't even see it that way. Really though the list of real Frenchman in the past few years is quite short, especially if you look for white Frenchman.
  20. Online translator there neekoy?
  21. He is very talented, he jus sometimes showboats too much and he still has to improve his final ball, no doubting the talent there though.
  22. Can always count on you neekoy to use this to bash the English. If Ribery has been a find of this tournament then you obviously like players who miss sitters.
  23. I think it was pretty average, not one for the ages that is for sure.
  24. I think it means one who raises pigs, or it might be a pigsticker, not sure how the translation would work.
