[Archived] Pc Update Problem - Help

Have the following message on screen.

CONFIGURING UPDATE STAGE 3 - 0% COMPLETE

Do not turn off.

PC shuts itself down - then comes back on with same message.

therefore Im not able to get access to files connect to emails internet etc

From the message, I'd guess they are standard MS Windows Updates.

They'll have a name though, usually just a collection of numbers and letters like 'KB67715'.

When I've had problems updating in the past I've searched for the names of the updates and downloaded the .exe files and installed them manually. It's worth a try anyway.

Correct - it was the usual standard update.

The PC has completely died now - all Im getting is the noise of the fan or processor - screen does not start up.
