  1. True, and totally agree but when we signed the lad from Everton i don't think anyone thought it was a bad signing but the last minute city one was. Especially when you consider Colin Hendry is on a free
  2. It's been a while, but anyway! Please don't compare Mowbray to the likes of Steve Kean, it's not big and it's not clever no matter how upset you are with him. Now, Tone has lost his way, with a brilliant squad of top 6 players. He does need to go because he is being quite stubborn and his comments seem to blame the fans. The fans: All seem to know the problem. Bradley Dack is not cover for a left or right back running forward. Stuart Downing should not be taking short corners. You should not punt a ball up in the sky to little Arma Do not play Elliot and Dolan within a nats arse of each other. Let them breeth and pop one on either wing. If you have no central defenders and the kids you do have look shakey, play three at the back. I have spoken (copyright The Mandelorian)
  3. I've also wondered this. It's totally a game where you need him scampering around like he does to grab everyone else by the scruff of the neck. He's young and shouldn't have to.
  4. Going to watch this tomorrow - cant wait:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwYatpwrs8s&feature=player_embedded
  5. This is looking amazingly good even if your not a fan
  6. The new Superman (man of steel) is looking good:-
  7. I feel sorry for him to be honest. He hasn't been given any chance at all to show what he can do. Fergie says of Rooney he needs to play games to get into the swing of things maybe the same can be said of Goodwillie (before anyone says I am by no means comparing the two). Its not just him I feel this way about. People like Rochina and Formica should count themselves in the same space. After a run of 5 straight games if they are still not ticking by all means slate them but they just don't get a real chance to show what they are made of.
  8. For those of us living away and who cannot attend the ###### up funeral, is there any chance someone could video the main bits? We are no longer in ye olden times and it would be good to see
  9. Thats brilliant. Someone said to me when I sent it them that Wahlberg wasn't really a good comedy actor but I thought he was ace in 'The Other Guys'
  10. Aye it is - no idea how I missed that.
  11. Everyone should be picking this up:- And then this:-
  12. I have stayed at the Fernhurst the night before a game and on the day of a game. Yes away fans stay there but as long as you are not being an idiot you should be fine. They normally clear off after the game anyway. Our first drink is at the Aqueduct anyway so we don't hang around there before the match. Nice food in there as well and cheap if you want to get some food after the game (a couple of hours after). Regarding the blues bar. We have tried our luck a few times and got in if its not been to full (45 mins after the game has finished). Other times we have pre arranged tickets that we have paid the club for - I am going back years about these but there have been times we have had the same tickets for free - again, this is going back a bit.
  13. When I come to watch a match I never venture into town. We start at 12 having a few drinks in the Aqueduct and take in the atmosphere. We then go and watch the match and have a couple in the Manxman/Furnhurst/Aqueduct after the game has finished before going back to the Blues Bar at Ewood where we have found a few times there has been something going on (Cheesy Disco or something but by that time its kind of welcome). There have been a few times where we have managed to get into the blues bar after the game and caught up with a few from here and spent the night drinking away. Much much better than going into a noise fest of a club with over priced ale and no conversation or banter to be had because of the racket. I used to goto a club on top of a car park called Peppermint Palace (or something like that). It was ok but again it always really loud and it did my head it. This could be because I am getting older of course and the reverse of the above will suit others better
  14. For those thinking of getting Crysis 2 please save your money for something else. It was a game I was really looking forward to and to be honest I do not think they tested it at all before it was released (as is apparent with most games nowadays I know however this really is the worst). The amount of times enemy's just get stuck in part of the scenery is unbelievable. Sometimes you will be running away and turn round only to find them stuck trying to walk round a chest high wall. On more than a few occasions I would be on a high ledge and look down. 1 enemy would be joined by his mate and this number would just keep growing as they would all just walk into a corner - I have killed about 10 guys at once this way. The sound keeps dropping in and out to. You are trying to listen to instructions sometimes and they just stop and the music will over play it instead. The above could be fixed with a future patch of course but the worst thing I have experienced was the second to last level started me without any gun and I couldn't pick one up. All the enemy's just stood still and I couldn't even hit them - they didn't fire upon me either. So I just walked through the whole level reaching check points and then got a trophy at the end - really really poor. Also for the bunch of guys that claimed to have a great story it was one of the worst I have played through and the ending - well I wont be spoiling anything if I said it pretty much just came up with 'there are other wars to fight.......The End' Pathetic really so stay away.
  15. Yes I do. On the Killzone front played for about 7 hours and have finished it - great game and gameplay alone I would recommend it to anyone but they really let us down with the ending. Obviously I wont spoil it here but still a little bit gutted.
  16. I downloaded the 3D single player Demo last night and have to say I loved it. The main game isn't has heavy as Killzone 2 was (some said it was too sluggish - I liked that though to be honest - didn't make me feel like I was hovering). They have also fixed the recoil when you shoot. Killzone 2 you hit the trigger and if you held it to long you would be pointing to the ceiling - not now. Its still hard as nails as well which I love. Your team mate is still a little dumb and you see him just wandering out and getting shot to bits all the time. The 3D really adds to what you are seeing though - especially when you strap the jet pack on. There are not really many pop out moments from what I have seen on the demo but the depth does grab you - you can see right down the length of the gun and you can really feel the difference from where you are and the enemy is. Will be picking the main game up next week when its out
  17. Matty on football AM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5aMABNXtLSY
  18. Watched Clash of the Titans and really really wanted to like it but I just couldn't and cant really explain why. When you look at your watch more than once in a film you know something is wrong anyway. I wouldnt say the effects were all that either.
  19. For ages people thought that it was the lead singer from Ben Folds Five (a band). They heard about it and did this:-
  20. Anyone want to posse up - Red Dead Multiplayer
  21. Finished Heavy Rain last night and will definitely play through again but do things differently. I am tempted to see what happens if I don't do anything. There were a couple of parts to the game that I messed up with but that was purely down to the controls (when I say messed up one thing took me ages to do even though I knew exactly what to do but my guy/the camera just wouldnt respond in the way I wanted him/it too) Its really difficult to explain more about the game and what happened without giving something away so I will leave it just by saying - wow (if you don't go with and enjoy the story thats being told your going to hate it) Now onto God of War III which I have taken Friday off to play (Really sad I know)
