I know it's quite early still and not many clubs have done much and the European window doesn't officially open for a few weeks and all the other stuff people will churn out, but am I the only one who is by now bored with all the speculation with not even the hint of a signing? I just want a little hint of something that will almost certainly happen even if it's not the most exciting signing. News of Hoillet signing a new contract would be great and keep me going for another few weeks. With no real matches to watch - the U21s having failed to excite me so far - I need a fix! :D

does adebayor not excite you ??? :P:)

i know exactly what you mean.. but on the plus side only 5 weeks away from 2 game saturday (stanley and morc!) :rover:

At just below £16mil, and with finishing of 17 out of 20. I think we should definately go for him! He's very brave too...

Yes, the bravery is not of concern.

I am personally worried about his corner rating, not to mention his terrible goalkeeper stat.

True, I'd be looking for a goal a game player for that kind of money, and he only has 4 in his last 5. Move on...

And yes Bangkok Rover everyone clearly knew you were posting that for the wage figure.. However a little banter at the fact you posted a FM sheet was necessary first.

£210k p/w is questionable.. I know a few players that are on FM and some denied the wages the game claims they get.

The free transfer list does make for interesting reading.

I've always been a fan of Jason Koumas; bags of talent but hasn't really delivered.

Surely Jonathan Woodgate on some sort of pay-as-you-play deal is a win-win scenario?!

I think Woodgate reportedly turned down a pay as you play deal from Spurs.

Stay away from both. There's way too much speculation going around at the moment, with nothing looking likely what so ever. Think I'll stay off these pages till the first signing is announced. Hopefully the first of many!

Woodgate is slow and a crock -The only way any premier league club should consider him is pay as you play deal, which he isn’t willing to do – so for me that’s a certain No.

Koumas is wack, never done anything.

Abbey lose the hard on for every word Venkys say, it’s getting tiresome…we all know they liked to talk us up, thankfully they seem to have been much quieter lately. All we can ask is that they invest in the team, if we do spend the £16m + at least £5m from our other kitty then it’s clear they are starting to walk the walk rather than talk the talk.

Better chance of bringing in Hargreaves than Woodgate... I would think Ferguson has Owen on a pay-as-you-play'ish deal, or at best a 'I'm taking a chance on a squad-player' deal, he probably hasn't offered Hargreaves a similar opportunity. OH would, injury-free, by far be our best midfielder.... Grella out - OH in.

it's a long story but my mate spoke to ferguson a few months back and he told him Hargreaves would never play again and that he was a strange lad. He did play 4 mins after that, but I would suspect he is finished.

This means nothing to me I don't play FM. I play Fifa manager formally known as total club its for more advanced minded people and its database is bigger :P

But anyway can we not post anymore of these and stick to real life I would never judge a player going off a game if I did Danny North would be playing for barca.
