The thing about this whole argument is that the two sides of it are not very far apart at all and a lot of it is down to semantics.

The reason Rhodes is 'criticised' is because being our 'best', biggest (in name) most important player he is the one that is talked about most often. he is more interesting than most of the others. It's not a witch hunt, it's very natural.

There maybe one or two extremists on both sides that say things like they want him sold but most are slightly one side or t'other.

He's a brilliant finisher, other parts of his game are a bit weak. Pretty much everyone would agree with that.

That is a good summation.

I do think there may be a couple of other variables/contributory factors.He is asked to play as a lone striker, which requires particular attributes and the midfield hasn't really being firing....

He is a bloody good finisher.
