That was absolutely disgusting defending. The whole back 4 and keeper need replacing. Soft as sh*te.
-
Or should only be trusted in a back 5.
-
No movement. Put Armstrong up top and have 3 in midfield, sub Smallwood and Bennett for Reed and Rothwell. BUT WE ALL KNOW HE ONLY MAKES SUBS ON 65, 70 and 75.
-
We're only on top because we're losing, that's not good enough. This team is relegation fodder in its current state, I'll still mean it even if we do find a way to win this. We're starting to see the last days of Graham and Mulgrew, Smallwood isn't good enough, neither is Bell, Raya or Bennet. Too small, too soft and simply not good enough. Preston winning... We'll get murdered off them.
-
Brereton will be nowhere near this game I think but it might be a good opportunity for him to get a goal on the back of his u23 game. Only big change i want to see is Rothwell in but I'd like to see him giving some minutes to youth players. Season over in my view, obviously would like a win but to not lose again will be a bonus.

Crucial info needed is... Did he play CF?
-
I can see what you're saying, the way I see it is that we should be trying to improve every position possible, if we bring someone in that's better than him then it's tough, he'll have to step up... Look how many decent keepers the apes have for e.g.

https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/17457039.i-dont-want-to-point-fingers-rovers-boss-on-keeper/ "David has found form recently" Eh? Cost us against Brum, Bristol and against Brentford! What's he been watching? Makes me worry he won't be looking for anew keeper. If that isn't evidence enough then I fear what it will take to make him realise. He's liability at the moment. Hate to say it because I like the lad and would like to see him succeed here but he needs to learn and work with a better, more experienced keeper here.
-
I've had enough of Raya for the time being. Need to desperately bring in a keeper, lad is simply not good enough I'm afraid. He might have a future for us but not right now, he's not up to it. If it's not him costing us goals it's the back 4. That's our season summed up but we say this every f*cking week. Soft as shite.
-
UTTERLY F*CKING RIDICULOUS. Midfield and back 4 are a complete joke. How is Raya getting best at that angle??? Useless.
-
He was ready at 65 though! Rothwell at 75?
-
Really interested to see what minute TM makes his subs, I'm pretty sure he thinks you can only make changes on 65 and 70 ?
-
Should be playing holding midfield, not a box to box... Just sat in.

Well... If there is a positive from these recent performances and results its that it plainly shows the manager how much quality is lacking to match his ambitions. I hope these results are a big reality check for the manager that whilst he's discussing being promoted he shouldn't lose sight of the fact that we don't just need to invest to challenge for promotion but to make sure that we don't go back down... Failing to bring in quality in the summer would see us be one of the favourites for relegation, this crop of players (as the manager has alluded to tbf) are simply not of the standard required. For all the stick people are giving Dack and questioning selling him, many of the players around him are simply not on his level of thinking most of the time.

I'm sick of this long ball up to Graham nonsense now. It's tired and predictable, it's a sign of a sh*t midfield when you have to completely miss it out.
-
Bell letting it bounce and costing us a corner that almost costs us... What an absolute sh*t house.
-
Bell can f*ck off right now. Absolute dog sh*t player.
-
Only just caught up on this. On the defender he referred to... Has to be Bauer surely? He's pretty much a dressed everything that I've suggested... Lack of leadership, Joe Rothwell and scouting in Germany, France and Holland... It's almost as if he or someone from the club has been reading posts on here before this event. ?

Forster is my dream keeper signing, unfortunately has a contract for a while and is on massive wedge.
-
Armstrong really seems to learning his position but I do agree he could do some damage up front. Nuttall I don't think will ever be good enough, I hope I'm wrong. I have to disagree though, I think we'll need to try and replace DG, along with CB and full backs are the most pressing issues.
-
You mean Armstrong and Brereton?
-
Can't be relying on DG all season again with his knees and being a year older. Desperately need someone to come in to try and fill his shoes.
-
No centre forwards?
-
Fully expecting that one to happen. Not in the know but just seems pretty obvious.

I'd written off this season after Brentford. I suppose to say it's a write off is a bit far as we could still use this season as experience for the younger players. This squad is going to need some investment to match the ambitions of the manager. Who would you like to come in? First bit of summer transfer speculation to kick us off... Apparently sourced from one of the red tops... https://the72.co.uk/125258/derby-county-blackburn-rovers-among-sides-interested-irish-defender/
