  1. Pretty chilled to be honest. The only area I think we're desperate is CF but if we can get someone decent on loan with a buy agreement then I'll be pretty content, especially as in these situations you can get better value... Like Cairney. Would like to see Chapman sign still though, Pulis doesn't fancy him, he wants to be here, we want him here, it fits. What I don't want to see is us recklessly wasting money on players we don't desperately need. I don't want to see Mowbray not being able to bring players in due to embargo.
  2. Doubt they would sell in case it affects team spirit...
  3. I don't think so... They've gone in with their best offer as to not waste time so they can move one quickly if it's rejected. Still feel like Chapman could happen.
  4. Rovers not going back in for Freeman apparently. Move on to the next one. Would like to know if there's anything happening with Gallagher.
  5. Last year of contract so a loan isn't going to happen.
  6. People are talking about Gallagher like he's the finished article... He's 22, he has a lot to learn yet but for someone at that age to bag 11 goals in a Owen Coyle side is good going. If he learns to use his size and starts bagging then all of a sudden he's worth god knows what. Be a great signing for us at the right price.
  7. Hilarious how it's been quite on here all day then at bed time everything has all of a sudden kicked off... Agents are right stiring keaners! Obviously trying to force through moves etc...
  8. Forget that, we need better than Graham. If you're out to improve your side then surely that's the aim... To try and sign better than what you have.
  9. I'm not having it... Seems out of character this.
  10. Wouldn't be surprised if Chapman was already done and announced tomorrow...
  11. Lads didn't play together in same side for a kick off...
  12. Pretty much I would suggest, or Middlesbrough have accepted a lower offer for him that we perhaps originally offered to help boos their funds for Bolasie... That would be my guess.
  13. With our budget we're not in a position to getting our business sorted early in the window it seems. As Rich Sharpe said he is willing to play the long game and not overspend, which shows he wants to make his money go as far it possibly can to get enough quality but it's not like he hasn't tried to bring players (Bauer for e.g.). I think Mowbray has even discussed how other sides may be desperate to offload players off their wage bill and players valuations may drop in these circumstances. I expect us to be making some cheeky offers for players tomorrow. Many we'll probably never hear about.
  14. No, I think it's just the fact he's young and unproven that people don't see him as a reliable choice right now and an apparent poor performance against Accrington Stanley seemed to temper expectations.
  15. Rich Sharpe on signings... "nothing ready to announce just now, but a possibility of something later. Will put something out if/when I know more."
  16. If Chapman doesn't even get any minutes then it will be more motivation for him to leave, especially if Bolasie comes in. I'm 100% positive he'd rather be at Rovers. My guess he will be the deadline day signing for us and everyone will go into meltdown.
  17. Don't understand why Chapman couldn't play attacking mid anyway, especially if he's wide of the 3.
  18. So 1.75 million for a Armstrong says Mowbray... Good business that. Newcastle fans were thinking they'd got 3 million!
  19. Vydra is no way good enough for Premier League football. Trapp... http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/16403619.rovers-reportedly-bid-seven-figure-fee-for-usa-international/?ref=mac
  20. Can't imagine this Trapp one is going to happen, sounds like a cheeky offer made that won't be accepted. Being over in the States, needs needs a medical and to sort out a contract all within the space of 2 days... Be cutting it close.
  21. We'd have got into playoffs that one season we missed out.
  22. With respect, I think it shows how organised and ambitious Mowbray and his recruitment team have been, or tried to be at least. They've obviously had more ambitious targets higher up the list that they've been priced out of and made their way down the list to Armstrong. I think that shows a well thought out transfer strategy and ambition.
  23. You say that mate but I doubt around 2 million will get you much these days. You have to look at what we're getting for that price... A lad at 21, who's an England youth International, with buckets of pace, who's already scored goals for us. Dack is unproven in championship, if we had to sign him this simmer god knows what price he'd be.
