  1. Can analyse all day but all I want to see is Joe Rothwell in centre mid and make sure we have a centre forward up front. Play through the midfield instead of miss it out.
  2. If I was there I definitely would have.
  3. I agree. I've also said he needs to take the blame for our recent performances. Like my dad's encounter with Paul Ince, he was just as furious and frustrated as TM and we know how that turned out. Fortunately Mowbray is simply a far better manager. A good performance and 3 points on Saturday is the only way to cure all of this. Actions speak louder than words.
  4. Absolutely, he just seems to have got himself in a twist recently, I hope he can turn it round and get us back to being hard to beat, we've become the polar opposite.
  5. Nope. From the sound of it, it seemed like he wanted to have that conversation more than they did, just to be able to say exactly how he feels to the fans for once instead of having to pick his words.
  6. I agree, talk is cheap... Top bloke mind but we all know that. Results are what matter. I might take him at his word and put some money on it, if we lose he can expect me at the players entrance with my palm open.
  7. Just seen all your posts, I wasn't doing a Nicko, I'm at work!!!
  8. My dad has previous with managers outside the ground at Wigan, he almost had a scrap with Paul Ince which turned into a heated a gentlemanly discussion as they walked round the car park at Wigan ?Anyways... Phoned me last night at 10.40 but I couldn't answer, I knew exactly what he was ringing me about, I'd have bet every penny I have he'd met the manager after ringing me at that time. So I calls him today and lo and behold he has. Some of you know my dad and Macky (who chaired the Ewood protest meetings), as they left the pub last night the team bus was still there so Macky walks on it pretending to me one of the staff ? when quizzed about what he was doing Macky said "I just wanted to speak to the manager", anyways as they turned round they heard someone say "alright lads?" Mowbray got off the coach to speak to them. Keep in mind I'm relaying what was said so it might not be word for word... "what can I say? That was absolutely f*cking embarrasing, I'm f*cking pissed off, they've let the club down, they've let themselves down, they've let me down and you down. I'm absolutely f*cking embarrassed. You lot pay you money and follow us round and they play like that? Absolutely f*cking unacceptable. At which point he apperently apologised to some of the women who were present but said he couldn't help it because of "how pissed off" he was... "I tell you what though, we will f*cking win on Saturday, I'm telling you". My dad didn't say what questions were asked of him but he went on to say "I feel embarrassed talking to you after that but I've told them all exactly what I think". The conversation carried on for some time I think... Mowbray went on "I have to go (apparently because bus was ready to go) but finished by saying... "I've got to go but I'm telling you, we f*cking will win on Saturday" and thanked them for coming before he shook their hands and had some photos with them before he left. I think there was a lot more to the conversation than that, it went on for a little while by the sounds of it but that was the main jist of it I think. Perhaps there might be someone present who can correct it or give a more accurate account and fill in the blanks that I missed. What my dad said was that he didn't just look pissed off, he looked upset, tearful almost but also fired up. From the sounds of it I think they were all a bit shocked by his reaction. If there's anything I missed out I'll edit the post.
  9. It might take a while to post so hang on and I'll post it ASAP mate ?
  10. He is. I've got a story from last night to tell you and everyone else, my Dad and his friends spoke to him after the game. I'll put it on here shortly.
  11. Mowbray on Chapman at fans forum (I think)... He’s just the fastest thing you’ve ever seen on the training ground, it’s unbelievable,” said Mowbray. “It’s just teaching him the footballing attributes, knowing when to press and when to hold. “I think we can utilise the assets of Harry Chapman, and have a real fantastic footballer, but not today or even in the next six months. “If Middlesbrough allow us to talk to Harry Chapman, I’ll be making him aware that if we sign him, it’ll be on a longer contract. “He could even go out on loan if he joined. He’s not played a lot of football. He had his hamstring issues with us and then his shoulder issues. “If we spend a whole preseason with him, then potentially he could be someone we end up signing.” https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.gazettelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/its-time-against-money-tony-15455619.amp Never mind that Rodwell hadn't played for god knows how long, this is different... Somehow. Planet Mogga. Top bloke but has really lost his way at the moment, saying and doing some really bizarre things.
  12. Not up for singing this one on Saturday then? ?
  13. Course we are, as I said, frustrated and pissed off... 2 thumpings from your local rivals that my dad and I have attended isn't exactly going to keep you in a good mood.
  14. Mowbray had a dream To build a football team He had some money and blew it on fu*ck all We're crap at the back And sh*t in attack We're Blackburn Rovers and we're fecking cack. I'm expecting some grief for this one but I'm frustrated and pissed off.
  15. Aye and it appears we're going to sign one (Chapman) and then loan him out. Makes sense.
  16. Because we have no midfield Tom. All i see Lennihan and Mulgrew do most of the time is launch it to Graham, tired and predictable. We miss out the midfield because there's no f*cker creating or controlling anything in centre mid, all we do is chase, there's no quality in there unless Rothwell plays. Every time I watch our midfielders get the ball they always seem to have someone up their arse with their back to goal and either give it straight back or play sideways, hardly anyone has the ability to find themselves in space and receive the ball on the half turn to set up play... When we do everyone is stood on their heels. If he doesn't look at the midfield he's picked in the past 2 games and feel anything other than shame then he's kidding himself. 51st minute before our first shot, maybe that should tell us that something needs to change Mogga. He's turning out to be very tactically Inept or naive this season. I can very quickly see things turning to sh*t and Blackburn Rovers reverting to type. He/we need results and fast.
  17. Both absolutely terrible. Williams is a centre half, never been a full back.
  18. Crap. Another game without no midfield, no creativity, chasing the game all the time, never controlling possession. I've seen enough of this Evans and Smallwood nonsense, f*cking rubbish. Another game with Joe Rothwell wasted away on the bench, our most creative player sat there whilst we create the sum total of Jack sh*t. People at the club talking about needing support from the fans, give them something to get them off their seats then! We look relegation fodder. Have a word with yourself Mogga.
  19. What I don't get is how Davenport was brought in to challenge for a direct spot in our first team but if we sign Chapman he could likely be loaned out. Mental.
  20. Thinking back to Sheff UTD, QPR and Rotherham... Hardly anything of note happened in those first halves or even for the majority of those game. The manager and players have to give the fans a reason to get behind them else, like in those games, the match will just pass us by.
  21. Don't know what's gone on but he's surplus to requirements for some reason... Despite scoring 24 goals last season. Guy is a natural finisher and 3 years younger than DG. like I said, doesn't strike me as a Mowbray type signing anyway.
  22. Best cheapo option is Brett Pitman IMV. Marquis I think is worth a shot at the right price. Don't see either as a Mowbray type signing though.
  23. Furious. A lot of organising and messing around for someone to watch my son so I could go today. Only to turn up and see the same old tactics that haven't worked. I saw on twitter he was blaming the defending, fair enough but perhaps blame yourself Tony? Making things far too complicated than they need be. Football doesn't have to be difficult, play your best players and play them in their best positions, when something isn't working, change it. Don't stick with it week after week whilst it costs us points. We lost the game before we kicked off today, you can tell the players don't like or understand these tactics and neither do the fans. Everyone was saying the same today, we were all bewildered. I wouldn't have many other blokes managing us but I have been pretty dissapointed by him not just tactically but by a couple of things he's said in the media too recently. He said about us spending enough money on players so that we should expect to beat teams like Derby and Leeds (words to that effect) and I'm sorry but it's not all about money in this league. Look at Burnley and Cardiff, they're well managed, they get the best out of what they have, they got the right recruitment, not throwing tons of money about dangerously like Forest. I admire his ambition but he needs to show more faith in his current signings. Which brings me on to the game.... My dad and I felt sorry for Reed today, he and Nyambe were the only ones who really turned up. The rest were poor, Graham and Rothwell gave us something we should have had from the start. Why Rothwell isn't starting I have no idea, we always look so much better with him in the side, considering we actually own him (unlike Palmer), perhaps we should be giving him more game time? Fair enough, he did almost cost us with a stray pass but the lad needs minutes get his awareness up to scratch. Preston will go away thinking they're brilliant when we can be so much better, I can accept it when another team is better than us but not when the team and the manager let everyone and themselves down in the way they did today. I can see us running into a run of bad form, this happens in football but this seems totally self inflicted from tinkering Tony. In a week/month were attendances have been a hot topic, today doesnt really do us any favours. I was thinking about what I need to do to attend the Wigan game but this nonsense has made my mind up and I'll spend it with my son instead.
  24. Got my ticket. Will be a tough game, a betting man would say a draw is likely. As far as their fans go, jealous bunch. Blackpool fans i've met are definitely a better bunch of folks, you can actually have a chat with them on good terms. Preston seem to be bitter of any local club who've achieved more than them in recent history... Which is pretty much every Lancashire club in this league.
