League 2 Bradford City fired Mark Hughes; BBC: Mark Hughes fired by Bradford City
He once had the world at his feet. What happened to him?
This must be it for him, right? Who'd hire him now?
When he was with us he had three others in his team, two plus Neddy Wesky
He seems not to be able to do it without them.

On the way home after a depressing night. We played well for 20 minutes at the end of the first half but the rest was forgettable and the late goal entirely predictable
Rovers fans few in number at the Ricoh and subdued most of the time. It’s going to be a long hard winter
Bloody Hell, Jim. So it's all your fault. Every away game you go to, we lose. Please stop going.

Last few games shows that the manager (head coach) has lost it. Let's hope he can give his head a wobble and change things. If he continues like this we are going down.
Can't keep blaming the thin squad. We have some good young players. It needs a manager with a bit of (Warnock, Allardyce ) nouse. JDT needs to learn quickly and be brave enough to change his strategy.

Bradford City have sacked Mark Hughes.

Is not the discussion, it's the constant "Is JDT looking for the Sack!" "What the F**k is that?" that is the point, it adds nothing and doesn't look to engage in the discussion. Every match thread is the same. But it's fine I shall ignre them and move on
It's been suggested a few times after the past couple of games.

I wonder if JDT really IS trying to get himself sacked.

I'm still up as usual for this 1.45 am ko but seeing that name as a starter makes me consider fucking off to bed. I may still have a nightmare but at least I'll be asleep.
Night night. Sleep tight.

Well perhaps Proctor needs sacking as his judgement seems awry! Seems he was never going to be ready for the season's start - farcical.
Perhaps Proctor said don't sign him. He's not fit. And got overruled by Pune/Swag/ etc.

How young you are. In my day I hid behind the sofa during "The Quatermass Experiment". 😱

I see Buckley is on the bench.

I go back to my initial take on VAR. It should be one man at a screen on the ground in communication with the referee. If there has been a blatant mistake by the ref, VAR man tells him . Ref makes final decision. No-one needs to know, read or hear this conversation. Simple!

You really have to feel for these Plymouth supporters.

Good grief! What a journey! I noted that they are used to coach breakdowns. Two on one journey. Something wrong there. Modern coaches should be almost breakdown-proof. Whoever hires the coaches should ensure that the coach providers are competent in providing reliable coaches.

Time that refs made their own mind up again. Why can't a ref go to the screen, look at it and turn away to say I was right and my decision stands (Brian Clough style).
Way back when I played football I was taught that "The ref is always right, even when he's made an obvious mistake". Just accept it and get on with the game.

They even mention ex-Rovers players in their songs.
Bobby Svarc anyone?
That photo of Colchester Utd highlighting Svarc is interesting. Jim Smith, their manager, came to us and later brought Svarc. Back row member of the Colchester team was Ray Harford. I never knew that.
Also never knew svarc is Hungarian for black.

Even a £600k one?
How much did we pay for Sir Roger?
Oh come on John. That's a silly question. How much did I pay for the Beano when I was a kid. 3d. How much is it now? £3

JDT is bound to change something. He has his reputation to think of, surely.

i don`t think swag reads anything about the fans,as we speak he`ll be tucking into a 6 course dinner making himself more obese than he already is,maybe he`ll choke on a chicken bone or some other "unfortunate" event will befall him
This made me smile. I had a vision of Monty Python's Mr Creosote.

I was wondering about Warnock. I wonder how or if he could change things for the better using this current squad. Be interesting but not going to happen.
Oh, and the best team we've played this season is Harrogate Town. Wish we could play them every week.

I know it's a bit late but I've just watched the whole game. my thoughts are:-
Pears isn't as bad as people make out. He really is very good with his feet and this is needed because of the way we play. I'm not convinced by the new lad. Pears must start against Leicester.
Dolan is useless. there is really no end product. Needs dropping from the squad unless we're desperate.
Harry Leonard will make a great striker. We must persevere with him.
Sam Morsy is a very, very good player. He is just what we need in midfield. I wish we had him. (retires to bunker with tin hat on)

5 live ignored us too. Ours was the only game they didn't have a reporter at last night.
Don't blame 5 live. Their reporter wanted to sit in the Blackburn End but it wasn't available.

We'll have to tighten our defence somewhat to prevent double figures.
-
So the Blackburn End remains closed for this one too
