Those Irish know how to do funerals. Loved it.
Den, have you ever read "Puckoon" by Spike Milligan? If not I recommend it. There's an Irish wake described in the book.

Travis......5 million? Our captain is worth at least double that.

7300 Leeds fans are coming tomorrow. I'm more intrigued by the Football Special train coming. Anybody of a certain vintage will remember these. I would love them to make a comeback.
I remember waiting for the coach near the level crossing at Bamber Bridge to take us to Wembley in 1987. Two massive trains came past from Blackburn pulled by diesel locomotives. They were each at least ten carriages long. They were packed with Rovers supporters. Oh the good old days.

Brilliant interview/podcast. I thoroughly enjoyed that. Thanks.

Please let it happen. Then Mowbray persuades the nobbers to take on Waggot.
I wish I could "like" this more than once.

Sunderland are owned by a wealthy French businessman so expect a French manager I would think.

I think we'll get absolutely tonked. 1-4

I'm going to get in before Mike Delap. I can't think of many who played for both clubs.
Albert Nightingale and David Batty. Not sure if Jason Wilcox also went there. Duncan McKenzie?

So what is your answer yes or no, in your opinion would the Lionesses beat either York or Wigan ?
Two different types of football. I never said that the women could beat the men. I said I preferred to watch the England women than the Wigan men.
5 hours ago, rigger said:Also the fact that the York and Wigan players are better footballers, might have a bearing.
That is rubbish. Why have you turned into a WUM?

Would you say that the lionesses would beat either York or Wigan. I would doubt it very much.
Bit of a daft question, Rigger. England v Netherlands was lovely flowing football. York v Wigan was a very scrappy game not enjoyable to watch.
-
England women are a joy to watch. Nederland played equally well. Spain are the best.
I watched England on ITV4 and switched once or twice to BBC 2 for York v Wigan. Chalk and Cheese! Lionesses far better. I love 'em.

They’re not exactly game changers though are they ?
My point was that we needed fresh legs and those two are no longer in nappies (duypers for Waco Rover and others).

Our bench resembled a creche and it's difficult to impose a real change on the game with youngsters who are still using Calpol.
I've already mentioned that Garrett and Markanday could have been used but weren't. Calpol no longer used by those two.
-
I listened on Radio Lancs. They mentioned after about 35 minutes that Brittain and Moran should swap wings. Also, late in the 2nd half they said Moran and Szmodics were "out on their feet". Why were Garrett and Markanday not used as subs? They are first team squaddies.
I think some blame could be laid at the feet of JDT and his assistant. We have an extremely thin squad right now and we need to use all the subs we are able to. It's not the first time this has happened either.

No fault of JDT but must be the worst bench of the last 10 years?

Whenever we have called the bench horrendous in the past and have had no hope, we seem to have done really well. Let's hope that continues today.
Who is Montgomery? Can he lead us into D Day?

Dads Army is one of my favourites. My wife cannot stand it and cannot see any humour.

JDT's happy to play a right back at centre back, left back, right back, right wing, left wing. Happy to play an attacking midfielder at striker or full back. Play a defensive midfielder a number 10. He'll basically play anyone anywhere except GK, centre back or centre mid.
JDT is more into playing the players out of position than Mowbray ever was.
It's called total football as in J Cruyff and his mates style.

Interesting comment on full screen. I generally use safari on a Mac and have had the same problem. I switched to Firefox for Rovers games which gives me full screen.
So you think it's my Safari causing the problem. Maybe. Thanks for that I'll look into it.

I managed to watch the second half on Rovers TV. What a horrible web site is the Rovers; not easy. Still couldn't watch it on full screen.
Anyway, we played some brilliant football but after the third goal we should have changed the game by making it scrappy. Plenty of throw-ins to them in their own half. Nothing better than a stop-start game for preventing the opposition from getting going. But our youngsters haven't got that nous yet.
Leonard is improving every game.
I'm feeling satisfied.

Dolan injured and going off. Leonard coming on

Heard that if you can't make it to Ewood you can buy a £10 ticket to watch on Rovers TV. Ive tried and all I get is buy a half season ticket. Any help?
