  1. PHEW!!! :o

Thank god i`m going to the Muse wembley show on the 11th Sept & not the 10th. Biffy Clyro are special guests on the 11th. The poor people who`re going on the 10th will have to put up with.......Lily Allen!!!! :(

A sad sad day for rock music indeed

Anyone going to the Lancs CC show will have Editors as spesh guests.

I am going LCCC gig in September, kind of looking forward to Editors but their newer stuff isn't the best. Got the Band Of Sculls album who are also supporting and it is very good, I got into Big Pink after seeing them support at Echo Arena in November.

Agree with Bellamy11 regarding some of the recent stuff, I really really hope they dont follow the same setlists they have been doing on the stadium tour over here. We need the older, heavier classics to be a big part of the show.... and WHAT A STAGE it will be played on. Jeeesus

  2. Yeah, I reckon it's the best intro they've done. Try to avoid watching it on Youtube etc - will make it better to watch next Thursday if you don't know exactly what's coming. I'm standing on Wednesday but sitting on Thursday (12th gig, thought we'd do something a little different) so I'll be trying to get a load of good videos.

Wont watch it online then will make it better when there. I see they been playing a few Exogenesis parts live too?

  3. Saw Muse at the Spektrum Arena in Oslo on Sunday night as part of my European stalker tour. For those who are going to see them - it was a really good gig so you should love it. The stage design is pretty amazing, they clearly spend a load of time (and money) ensuring that they put on as spectacular a show as possible. The new material sounds pretty good, though tbh the Norwegian crowd was a little tame (lots of tiny Norwegian girls) so the biggest reaction was for the radio hits from the last couple of years. With a bit of luck, the UK shows (where people know them better) will contain a few more old favourites rather than a 'greatest hits' setlist.

Going Echo Arena next week - do the boxes on the stage move around as seen some shots they put on the site with Dom appearing up in the air??

  4. Radio 1s website has 36mins of video footage from Teignmouth. It includes 3 new tracks plus some other stuff.

    2 months til Dublin!! :tu:

I`ve heard about 5 tracks from the new album. Different, but still good.

Its been leaked since Tuesday. Its very very different, but in a good way. He was always going to end up making something like he has with the last 3 tracks.

You can listen to the full album now on muse.mu also

  5. Not really defending the song because it has yet to grow on me (and the "Queen" parts of it completely make me cringe), but how is having two minutes of Chopin on the end of it "music that aims to please as many people as possible"?

Still got his lyrics of rebellion which we usually see on the starter track of any new album. It is growing on me, just dont really know what to expect when it comes out. It will be good to know that when I go see them live and they do call it a day they have a mix of hard indie, dance themed and classical music. Diversity at its best, regardless of whether you think they 'sold out' or not. Matt said he asked Dom and Chris to 'go with him' on the new road they went down on this album and they feel it is one of the best things they've written. Still think Absolution is one of best they done
