  1. The Blunderer Posted on May 17 2004, 17:13

      QUOTE (Cocker @ May 17 2004, 08:16 )

Dont remember leaving the Blues Bar and dont remember spilling pie and chips all over myself either (I have been advised this is what happened anyway)

Must have been those 'Cheeky Vimto's' we were drinking.

CHEEKY VIMTO'S ohmy.gif Those cheeky little buggers always send me over the edge.

  2. And who were the apologists who applauded him when he did the half-time draw?  ohmy.gif

    Me too.

Dunny had the balls to walk on the pitch when the fans COULD have booed him to make the HT draw. I think he deserves credit for that.

I do wonder though if everyone was outside when he came out and not getting a pint if he would still have received the same reception dry.gif

  3. What a top weekend.

Cheers to all that made us (myself and Catharine) feel welcome on Saturday night and apologies to all that heard me and The Blunderer singing Wonderwall (and after all, your my Andy Cole). Cant remember being that drunk in a long time. Dont remember leaving the Blues Bar and dont remember spilling pie and chips all over myself either (I have been advised this is what happened anyway)

Once again cheers and shall be back at somepoint next season to do it all again thumbs-up.gif

  4. The dreaded hamstring me thinks however, I have a suspition that hes just worried of being hit by a pie.

I somehow doubt the pie thing - he's never been scared of them before. It sounds like some sort of Homer Simpson dream - for Dunny to be showered by Pies. "Ow!! that hurt - Mmmmm Pie - Ow!! that hurt - Mmmmm Pie" etc for 90 minutes. I could do without that.

(A bit like that Homers lobster / Duff skit that someone did on here once - very funny - something like "Boo Hoo - we've lost Duff - Hurrah! - £17m - Boo Hoo..." etc)

Mr Flemming you git!! I have a bad hangover and it hurts when I laugh

  5. I`ll be able to make my first meet up but i`ll have Mrs K in tow aswell as the parents!! ( we`re stopping off for the night on the way to Scotland ).

Will we all get in o.k?

I`ll be the one looking lost caus I don`t know what any of you look like.

Same boat as me Alan. I have been told that everyone hangs about near the pool table and will have a website flag which will be carried round by Paul (if the badges dont get in the way)

  6. "Deadwood Park"  laugh.gif  Brilliant! Not only incredibly funny but original as well.

    Irony Bob??

Yes. First time I heard that though was from a Dingle a few years ago just before we beat them 5-0. I laughed then as well. Just goes to show that all football fans pick up on something that's incredibly clever and funny all at the same time.

Remind me please someone - Is Dunn definitely out of this game? If so why?

The dreaded hamstring me thinks however, I have a suspition that hes just worried of being hit by a pie.

  7. At least Sam will not die wondering whether they'll come to Notlob or not.

He has the sllab to ask!

    Very good point.

When we signed Dahlin (even though he was rubbish when he came) I said that he would never come to us and look what happened - he did.

Lets see if Zidane fancies running the midfeild with Bazza next year tongue.gif

  8. I have Keane's album and it is very very very good

Just got it posted this morning, and ill go as far to say this is the best debut album ive ever heard. Bloody brilliant!

Better than definitely maybe as a debut album? Must be good then

  9. Please pass on to all Leeds fans to cheer them up

Sing to the tune of Queens Bohemian Rhapsody

    Is this the real life-

    Is this just fantasy-

    Leeds in a landslide-

    No escape from reality-

    Batter your wife,

sh * g sheep and cry and weeeeep

you're just a poor club, you've got no sympathy

Because you're easy come, easy go,

    flying high, now you're low

Leeds are going under, doesn't really matter to me,

    To me

    Ridsdale, you've killed the club,

Put a goldfish on your desk,

spent too much, but now he's dead,

    Ridsdale, life had just begun,

But now you've gone and thrown it all away-

    Leeds Scum, ooooooh,

makes me laugh to see you cry

If your team has gone bust this time tomorrow-

Carry on, carry on, cos nothing really matters-

Too late, their time has come,

    Sends shivers down my spine-

can't stop laughing all the time,

Goodbye Leeds United - you've got to go-

Gotta leave the premier league and face the truth-

    Leeds Scum ooo

I want to see you cry,

I bet that little lad on tv wishes he'd never been born at all-

I see a little shadow of a team,

    Munich Songs,

    Munich Songs,

but your club are going under-

Smithy to United-very very frightening me-

    Peter Ridsdale, Peter Ridsadale

    Peter Ridsdale, Peter Ridsadale

Peter Ridsdale, magnifico-oh oh oh oh oh

you're just a poor club and nobody loves you-

your grandad is your father, keep it in the family

spending your cash on some monstrosity-

Easy come easy go, will you let me go-

Seth Johnson! no-,we will not let you go-let him go-

Seth Johnson! we will not let you go-let him go

Seth Johnson! we will not let you go-let me go

Will not let you go-let me go

Will not let you go let me go

    No,no,no,no,no,no,no-

Thanks for Eric, Thanks For Eric, Thanks for Eric, He's a god-

Ferdinand a red devil for £30 mil, £30 mil, £30 Mil

So you think its funny to sing songs when people die-

So you think we'll all miss you because you cried-

Oh leeds scum-you make me @#%$ my sides leeds scum-

Just going down-just going right outta here-

    Leeds are going under

    Anyone can see,

Leeds are going under, and I think it's really Funneeee!

  10. Back to reality for a minute -

Enter blues bar and look to the left (once you've already bought your beer naturally).

I can more or less guarantee we will be up there on the raised floor bit by the pool table.

If you're not able to see the site badges, have a look for the St Georges Cross with BRFCS.COM across the middle. I think it belongs to SteB, Revidge or ......... infact, ignore that, i've got no idea who it belongs to - just remember it being put away last time by one of those 2 or Paul.

If you cant see that, you need some serious jam jars. It's about 10ft x 10ft.

Nice one, even I should be able to find you then.

Got the boat and hotel sorted today, tickets ordered last night. So the only thing left to get in are the beers at the bar and as I remember it, you can get some cracking juggs (no puns please) from the blues bar......hhmmmmmmmm beer

The Blues usually gets quiet an hour after the final whistle, so I cant see any problem getting in.

More than likely we will arrange a meet up in some corner area. There are bound to be someone wearing the brfcs.com badge. or maybe we can get Paul to walk around with a sign on a stick.

withstupid.gif change wording to Im with BRFCS.com

Well, if I cant find you lot you will see me. I'll be with the Mrs wondering round looking like a billy no mates. If you see us then give us a shout - the first one to do wins a pint. If it helps, I'll be the one in the Blackburn Rovers shirt biggrin.gif

No way, the last time I went walking round a pub asking women if they were with someone, I got into a bit of trouble.

    Yeah, I can imagine:-

Alan75: Say, are you that woman off the telly?

    Woman: Really, what program?

Alan75: Coranation Street. The one from the hair dressers

Woman: WOW, you think that I look like Candise. THANKS

Alan75: No, Gails Mum - Audrey

Woman: says nothing but gives Alan a good kicking biggrin.gif

  13. Couple of Questions:-

    1. Never having been to the last game of the season before I was wondering if you needed to buy tickets to get into the blues bar as it will probably be busier than normal.

    2. Every time I have been to a game, I head straight into the blues bar after the match so I would expect many of you would have been in there at the same time. How will I know who to say Hi too? I thought I could spot one of the badges but I am quite blind and would probably miss them. Also, you get a picture in your head of what everone will look like and when you see them it will be totally different (I do however think that Phillipl will look exactly like his Aviator)

  14. Right, now I've calmed down a bit I'll try to get perspective back.

I don't want the club to go down, but I honestly fear for the future if we keep Souness. We don't have assets to sell any more(except perhaps Ferguson if anyone wants him and he comes back ok), our players are less fit than your average dodo (they lumbered compared to Liverpool yesterday, and our manager has no idea of what his best team are). You may use the "injury" excuse- but he SHOULD by now have figured out a "best of the rest"- he hasn't and we get tinker after tinker each week.

Does it make me happy to be right? Not for the club (I'd deny anyone personally to be happy about being wrong)- we have the eighth highest wage bill in the Premiership and we're languishing.

I feel sorry for John Williams too, as he doesn't seem to much like his manager, but has stuck by him throughout bad times and worse times this season, and has tried to maintain a sound financial footing doing it. This would- and make no bones about it- be destroyed by relegation.

I'm not a supporter of player power. I was totally against Sherwood for what he did to Hodgson. I cannot be unbiased enough to be sure that this is not the same, although in Hodgson's case it was mainly down to one player- this time it seems to be quite widespread- again impression only.

This season has reminded me SO much of 1999 it's scary, except then Jack Walker was there to see it. Poignantly the fans yesterday started to sing "there's only one Jack Walker" to motivate the players. Unfortunately there was not a player on the pitch who remembers Jack Walker or was influenced personally by him. He's only been dead three years. Where are the good 21/2 year olds who were around the club at that time???

The overwhelming feeling this season is sadness. We'll all disagree about the Dunn/Duff/Berg situation till............well...........forever, but I doubt anyone would argue that if we'd done the limited purchasing we were going to do (Gresko) and kept those three, we'd be in a better position than we are now. Greed/stupidity has played its part in our downfall. We'll be here to witness whatever happens next season, the rubber dinghy men won't.

Well said Jan2. I agree with everything you have said there.

I (Like JW) have stuck with Souey all along even though I havent always agreed with some (well most) of his decisions. But only now am I like yourself think back to 1999 and cant help but say - its happening again. I am totally against saking any manager until the end of the season but if we do go down (please no) then I do not want Souness in charge next season.

I was very disappointed with the Jet album, I thought it would be more rockier (yes, it's a word now) than it was. At the moment I'm listening to a lot of old stuff like Pink Floyd, The Beatles and Madness. Nice mix eh?

Aye, I too thought that it would be more 'rockier' but was pleasently surprised when I gave it a propper listen.

If any one actually cares, here are a few other albums that I have been playing quite alot latley (and please let me know what you think):-

    Avelanche

    Jet (as already said)

    Snow Patrol

    Darkness

Bush (golden state - not their best album but I like it)

    Manics (everything must go)

Placebo (forget what the albums called)

    Oasis (Masterplan)

    Queen (Greatest Hits II)

    Travis (12 Memories)

If anyone is listening to anything similar then please add comments so that I may find something new (like I did with Snow Patrol - who I had never heard of until they popped up on soccer am)
