Which spare land is that? Not many places they can build 550 houses near Ewood. Do you mean the new estates up Feniscowles?
Not seen plans yet but would guess its the tract of land that runs from behind the Riverside through to Lower Darwen
Between Alum house brook and the railway line and then back of Branch Road upwards

Not sure if this as been posted before but its the hovis crackers advert filmed a Ewood 77/78

The land purchase close to Ewood by the Issa brothers that was mentioned earlier in the thread , anything to do with the 554 houses being built on the spare land near /behind the Riverside that passed planning permission at Blackburn council tonight? Work due to start Jan next year

Unfortunately these things happen when you don't fill up the tank before starting another long journey. An unscheduled stop at the services , one can only hope that ToMo doesn't think of putting diesal into the unleaded tank will give more mileage before the next stop

It's only Saturday games that are being being to certain countries, this applies to. It is poor that you only find out, at the last minute at times, but I think most games will be available for people who live abroad.
Mid week games are the same as weekend games regarding foreign broacast e . i.e if the Rovers game tonight was being shown in Australia on Bein it would not be available on Rovers tv for those who live in Aus.
Just checked on tonights overseas live game and both Middlesboro and sheff U have tweeted/news on theit websites that the game is only available on their own branded platforms in countries with no EFL broadcast contract.

In the wake of Tyrhys Dolan being released by PNE and joining Rovers last year, Peter Ridsdale, advisor to PNE owner, reiterated the club's decision to scrap their U23 set-up: “From a cost point of view the increased mandatory spend level including the cost of an Under 23 team is not insignificant and would merely reduce the amount that we have to spend on the first team.... In addition, it is our view that ‘Under 23’ league football is far removed from the challenges that ‘men’s football’ brings with it and we would much prefer to see those U18s that we think stand a chance, going either straight into our first team squad or going out on loan to lower league clubs."
Without knowing the details of Preston's success with this strategy (except that clearly Dolan was an incredible oversight), I can't really reach any conclusions but I would be interested to know how many of their released players are still playing at a high level. I suspect, not having an U23 squad will be very damaging to them in the long-term, as it will reduce their ability to retain and develop youth players.
players from the PNE u18's same year as Dolan

Plenty of good managers out there at that time. I thought they would have moved to more of overseas set up with director of football/head coach set up.
They did go with that , although an unofficial Director of Football 😉

I'm more pissed off with Waggott than I ever have been with Mowbray.
I think it's Waggott that's hitting Kean territory of 'just f*** off' rather than Mowbray (even though I'd like him gone too).
Have we ever had chants for getting rid of a CEO before? I'm hoping it starts next game for this absolute shyster.

The min he gets to India they are coming back with new 3 or 4 year manager and CEO deals mark my words. That will be item one on the agenda.
And anybody who thinks Mr and Mrs D don't still make the big final financial decisions think again. We are about to embark on another 4 season mid table journey that ends in Tony and Steves pensions and sales opf the young players we are nurturing now.
That's the future and there isn't a top 6 ambition in sight.
Lets just hope that Barry doesn't think they seem grateful enough and he takes them to the cellar 🙂

who would you like to see Mercer take over
I would love to see Mercer take over William Hill or Bet365, as long as he sets the odds 🙂
This time next year we all could be sipping a few bottles of a nice red

There are some very interesting developments on the Rovers ownership front. There is local interest that the V’s have not shunned.
People who are considering the sale of petrol and convenience stores for $15 billion?

Hull's game seems to be on EFL broadcast list tonight which means overseas fans cant watch the game again, for the 2nd game running?
😡
Seems to be Bournemouth v QPR for overseas broadcast tonight
https://www.livesoccertv.com/match/4039133/afc-bournemouth-vs-queens-park-rangers/
But then again, a few hours before kick off to go so the EFL might change it for no reason like Saturday

Has anyone figured out how to watch full game replays? Are international subscribers able to watch them or do they not exist at all? If not at all that's a massive downgrade.
Really miss iFollow. Started off poor but by last season was a very decent service.
Overseas subscriber here. As far as I can see they do not exist at all this season for the first team (apart from friendlies), Yesterday evening went looking for any highlights as I only managed to catch the last half hour of Saturdays game, none at all on the rovers tv site from league games this season .
Ended up scouring youtube and found highlights from beinsports.6 + minutes compared to those uploaded to youtube by Rovers which was just over 2 minutes
As others have said paying top whack for less service this season.

All credit to Maggot , he seems to have solved the service problems in Blues Bar

You have the season ticket same as me. As another poster informed me the game is in fact being broadcast internationally even though the EFL website says otherwise. That’s why we get the unauthorized country error.
The EFL announced yesterday that the game was selected / changed for overseas broadcast. no idea why as it was supposed to be the Blackpool game
Pain in the arse that they can do this at short notice when they have already got the subscriptions in for the ifollow feeds.
Way out of practice finding an alternative to rovers tv, no luck today
Waggott's interview with media

apparently Waggott has put a complaint in to the council, and wants the re-introduction of the 17th century windows tax for any that overlook the ground, payable to Rovers . 400 quid per year + 3 quid extra on match days.
