Of course its not good news, but it did get paid and we never got issued with a winding up notice.

    These are the facts,

I'm sorry the facts are an unpopular view, I've actually not put an opinion to it, just merely pointed out what was being suggested was factually incorrect.

Plenty meet with club,  yourself included, quiz them in your next discussion and report back

I think the difference here is not just that the club was late with payments, but the fact that because of changes to Indian Law the club could very well have gone into administration without a successful legal appeal in India. That must have been very much in the balance for some time. It wasn’t just a routine thing that happens all of the time Glen.

A few more detailed questions could rightly be asked of Waggott regarding the current and future situation.

Protests are fine but it's answers that are required. This is potentially a big story that poses so many questions.

Why was the club threatened with the winding up order? What are happened since then? Has the threat been dropped or is it still ongoing? Or has the threat developed into an actual winding up order?

Waggott is the CEO. He will know. He can't hide.

Sounds to a financial know nothing like me, that Venkys owed c£3.5m pounds to the HMRC and the HMRC threatened to wind the club up if Venkys didn’t pay it. The Indian court agreed to allow that.

No idea what the situation is now.

  3. JDT goes on about needing experience in the squad. I totally agree with him. However, how much experience does he have in English football. What did/does he know about the requirements of the English leagues?

Thing is, we have Venkys, Waggott, Broughton and JDT. The experience between this people of English championship football amounts to how much exactly? I mean… what experience of any football, at any level, do the owners have?

Oh for proper football people running the club. Oh for managers like Furphy who didn’t need anyone else to scout and find players for him. He knew what he was doing because he’d done it all before.

  4. Plan A….. bring through youngsters, sell them and reinvest the money into the squad.

If that worked Crewe would have made it to the top division. The money doesn’t get reinvested. As the only plan it’s hopeless.

fall back to Plan B……… stay in the league til things improve. If you could stay in the league at will, nobody would get relegated.

    Idiots.

Tomasson believes this is crucial to play development and ensuring the club can apply a player-trading model.

“The most difficult thing in football is to give a team an identity, but I think it is needed because the club wants to sell players," Tomasson explained.

    Well that is that!

What’s going on at this club is a scandal. There are a lot of people involved that should be nowhere near Ewood Park

    Charlatans and thieves.

Of course not but the point is plenty other people are seeing what some of us see, the gaffer being responsible for the style of football.

    To a point he is.

He can only play with the squad at his disposal though. Some fans, rightly and very understandably, are saying we should be less cavalier and far more solid at the back.

    Three points…

where are the hard running, hard tackling experienced midfielders needed to give cover to the back four? Where are the wide midfielders capable of first and foremost giving cover to the full backs for ninety minutes?

How is recruitment achieved? Does Broughton simply scout and bring in the players for JDT - or is the manager given full input and final say on who comes in? I suspect it’s the first option.

Neither of those two have enough experience of English Championship football for that role. That’s where we are.

Well each of them went for a record fee between two British clubs in their respective positions. Fred was the most expensive player in any position. Only Jimmy Greaves and Denis Law had been sold for more and they came back from Italian clubs. Mike was the most expensive centre half and Keith was the most expensive full back.

So work that out. My guess, £100 million for Fred,  £75 million for Mike, £40 million for Keith.

So the question is Tyrone, how much would Duggie and Ronnie be worth in todays market - in your opinion?
