Ya, it's none of our money,so I don't understand why people are so precious with it . 20,000 a week is nothing when it comes to player wages. Wasn't Graham on 27,000 in the championship?
-
He's not great in the air though, is he?
-
When it comes to the debt 20,000 a week is peanuts. Is that not the going rate for average championship players these days?
-
Poor him
-
Ya I'd like Armstrong back definitely. I'd say whatever our budget we could compete with Rangers
-
Any suggestions?
-
I would take him back anyway. The guy scores goals Probably won't be coming back alright though
-
Rhodes for 20,000 a week with no transfer fee? Cracking deal. Who could we sign for less with a goal scoring record like his?
-
Would he want to play be playing every week? I don't see how he would be in any position to play make such demands. If he was, then don't sign him, but I dont think he is the type to be make waves or demands. As an impact sub, great signing.
-
Dack isn't going anywhere unless a crazy bid comes in On Rhodes, I would take him as another option upfront. Whatever has happened since leaving here, the guy scores goals in a rovers shirt
-
I thiught the exact same when I looked at the Derby and Fulham teams yesterday
-
No, but nobody was playing to their maximum then. Hopefully they come good. Although I could see Gladwin leaving on loan. Whittingham has huge championship experience. He was selected for the championship team of the decade. I think he can play a part next season. Maybe not as a starter

A few of my friends are big Celtic fans and watch Scottish football far more than me, they say this lad is class. Seems to have knuckled down too and started looking after himself better since leaving Celtic, hence less injuries. Looks a clever singing

On the important issue of Duffy and the tartist formerly known as Jordan. He is a brave man. He must never have heard the poem by Robert Frost "I have taken the road less travelled and that had made all the difference"
-
If those you name as flops; Whittingham, Gladwin and Chapman all got injured. Not much Mowbray can do about that. Payne and Bell were peripheral because we had others performing very well in their positions, but they still played a part. Bell was on the team of the year, so is obviously a good signing. Hart is a young lad, maybe he will come good. Harper was a strange one alright, but no damage done really. I would say Mowbrays signings have been really considering the rebuilding job that had to be done. Not sure what you mean with your reference to kean in the first paragraph?

Tidy player. A bit injury prone though.
-
No truth to it according to Rich Sharpe
-
You are well off the mark there

I don't think they are trying to link him, they are just saying we have an option to buy. I doubt Mowbray will take that option up. Chapman and Armstrong are better options

Championship 2017/18

Regardless of their issues with recruitment, Lamberts results there have been absolutely appalling. 1 win in 14? He somehow left them in a worse position than he found them. He changed nothing in the squad, didn't give any youngsters a chance, didn't get more out of under-performing players. Absolute disaster of an appointment I agree about one thing though, they definitely don't have a squad cut out for the Championship -
If good players become available and want to come here, we should sign them. Having 2 good players for each position is the goal, Payne would be an excellent signing on loan or permanent. I'm not sure Mowbray fancies him though. He played Dack against Gillingham and Bristol rovers when he clearly wasn't fit and then against Oxford, with Dack out, Payne didn't start. I think he would be a great signing though. He showed some real glimpses of quality and is a player with an x factor I reckon. I wonder how him and Dack behind a striker would go
-
I would take Payne again if he is available after Huddersfield staying up. Has a season of championship football under his belt already

Try supporting Rovers for the last 7 seasons(before this one) along with watching the Ireland national team managed 1st by Trapatonni and then O'Neill. As I am still here now, I can definitely say football is for life. -
