Pears was solid tonight. Made a couple of decent saves, quick off his line for a couple of interception and his kicking was very good under tricky conditions. No world beater but the jigglers seems to have passed from when Wahlstedt was in goal and the defence looked comfortable if not perfect.

I find this less frustrating being honest. All well and good when you have the players but when you don't there is nothing worse than watching a bunch of players with limited ability struggle with every single pass and look so uncomfortable trying to knock it about. I could frame it that anything good that JDT instilled into the team, went with him. And all of the failings while he was here can be put down to some terrible footballers and the awful bunch that assembled them.

He had us on a rotten run of form for months. Was it something like 1 win in 10? It's a poor bunch alright but he never managed to stop the rot. Terrible combination.

The passing is worse.

The attacking, from players that we've seen attack well, is none existent.

The defending is just as shambolic.

We're still playing suicide balls across field for it to be intercepted, but we're playing an opponent who is really poor.

JDTs prints are all over this team. He's only been gone a wet week. The problems he created are still there.

Very poor but it's all about picking up points at this stage in what's been a horror season.  Cutting out the conceeding of goals by gifting them possession around our box is a start. Moral is clearly at an all time low. Just need to crawl over the line at this stage and assess in the summer. Hopefully better times ahead.

Can be a half empty type man too but given the circumstances I'll try and stay positive. Happy to see lads clearing their lines and keeper going long. Start with the basics after a horror run. There is a balance to be struck but can't do it all at once. But more composure up top is needed. Been very poor so far in the final third.

I'm oddly content at the moment. No stupid risks, tighten up a bit and look to grab a goal and be a perfect night. We got better as the half went on.
