Dislike Bobby Madley so much. Face of a Spitting Image puppet, a punchable one at that. Notoriously poor referee and the reasons for his earlier, sudden departure from English refereeing should’ve seen him never referee again.

He’s handed them every opportunity to stay ahead here, real example of officials being more scared of the reprisal of public discourse (Leeds fans) than their paymasters.

Him & that prick Tim Robinson, total & utter wankers!

  2. Well, seeing as the festive season is upon us & that one of our most iconic songs was based on a Christmas tune (Shearer wonderland), how about a new one for Sammie:

    Sammie Szmodics' coming to town,

Probably best done in the style of Bruce Springsteen rather than the original.

Just a thought. Can't make it tomorrow myself unfortunately due to the early KO, so over to you guys & gals! 😄

I'm going to get in before Mike Delap. I can't think of many who played for both clubs.

Albert Nightingale and David Batty. Not sure if Jason Wilcox also went there. Duncan McKenzie?

Paul Robinson, Diouf & I suppose we can include Poveda.

  4. My stepson just told me that him and 3 of his mates are going, he's a Utd fan (note I said stepson so don't blame me, blame his mother! 😄) and there's only one of the other 3 that's a Rovers fan. Basically, because of the pricing, they've decided to have an afternoon at the footy & then go on the lash afterwards - at £30 a ticket there'd be no afternoon at the footy. Straight away that's an extra 3 bums on seats purely due to cost.

Just goes to show, attractive pricing also gets in 'floating' fans who would probably usually just end up watching Utd, Liverpool, City etc on the TV. Gotta be a good thing!

I cant log in....it keeps telling me my credential are incorrect, but they are saved and the same as they've been all year...haven't been able to access any videos for 3 or 4 weeks now.

If u got to the RoversTV thread, someone posted some helpful information there a day or two ago. Apparently you need to re-register or something.

  6. Can't go to this with it being rearranged for a Friday night as I'm DJing as usual. Thankfully the game will be on in the pub so will get to see it.

My daughter's taking a mate of hers with my ST so at least the seat won't be empty. Come on lads don't let me down! There'll be a few Nobbers coming back in after the game & I want to greet them with a smug grin on my face!

    2-1 Szmodics & Hill.

Ahh I didn't realise they were just covers (although I guess that makes sense given how quick it was rather than painting it).

Have we not had fans up there since they were installed then? Like you say that gives them a good opportunity to do it properly (albeit Leeds will be back up there in 1 month anyway)

    Don't think we have tbh.

I think they'll probably get left off until after Leeds as you say, I can't see Swag paying someone to put them back on only to remove them again on a month to reinstall again.

If PNE get the upper tier can we ask their fans to rip out some of our seats so we can reorder the RoVeRs lettering to be centralised and aligned, and not look like it was done by primary school kids?

They'll be moved anyway as we didn't do it properly, it's just basically white bin bags over the seats!

Agree that hopefully they'll put them back properly centralised - if anyone can be arsed!

  9. TBF to the ref on this one, I think most of us probably thought it was a red in real time, it was only after seeing the replays that you could see Scott clearly gets the ball. He only had one look at it & had to make a call. Not very often I'll defend a referee!

Thankfully, it didn't affect the result on Sunday (maybe only our GD) & common sense has prevailed meaning SW is available for Friday.

Oh, & Swag will be happy, he gets his £500 deposit back! 😄

  10. That's one of the most insane halves of football I've ever seen! Entertaining though.

VAR a waste of space, I don't think Michael Oliver's made a decision all game!

Spurs in full control until that Ugdogie (or whatever his name is) lunged in with 2 feet & how that wasn't a red I don't know!

I didn’t have a good view at all of the second from in the ground, and I’ve watched it back on the highlights. It looks to me like Carter has pulled up, and someone is screaming “Leo, Leo, Leo”, but he seems oblivious and throws a silly ball out to Brittain whose pass was pathetic.

Just watched it back myself & you're right, Carter has his hand up and you can clearly hear him screaming to Leo with his hand up clearly trying to tell him to 'hang on a minute'. If the mics around the pitch are picking it up above the crowd noise then surely he must be able to hear him.

I can’t believe we paid real money for the new lad.

I'll be honest, I actually like him. He's only young & obviously comes from a continental background where punching, rather than catching, is the norm.

As daft as it sounds, I'm not as nervous with him in goal as Pears. Not a patch on TK obviously, but I at least have confidence in him stopping a shot.

This punching shit needs to stop though & needs coaching out of him him - is BB the man to do this? I very much doubt it. All the drills I see online are shot stopping!! Nothing relating to dealing with crosses into the box under pressure!

Not been in England for 10 years.

£6 an hour was dog shit money back then.

It's basically just the minimum wage:

    23+ £10.42

    21-22 £10.18

    18-20 £7.49

    16-17 £5.28

I agree though, not exactly much of an incentive to give up your Saturday afternoons.

One thing that did stand out for me though was, that it look like things are going to improve 🤣 :
