  1. WHAT AN AWESOME GAME!! THE BEST MATCH I HAVE EVER BEEN TO IN THE 14 YEARS I HAVE HAD A SEASON TICKET!

    My Ratings

FREIDEL- 8 (Two top saves, couldn't do anything about any of the goals)

NEILL- 7 (Cracking penalty, coped well with Ronaldo in the 2nd half, however played Rooney and Ruud onside)

TODD- 6 (At fault for United's 2nd goal)

NELSEN- 6 (Pretty redundant as Rooney dropped deep)

    GRAY- 6 (Solid)

REID- 7 (A player who is getting better every week! Played a lot better in the second half in the centre!)

TUGAY- 6 (Did a job in the first half, caught in possession a few times, but solid)

SAVAGE- 8 (Another good game from Sav, who I personally think is playing the best football of his career, plus an assist for the Bentley's 3rd goal)

PEDERSEN- 7 (Battled hard in midfield, he can really dig in when the game gets scrappy)

KUQI- 7 (Love him or hate him, he must be a real pain to play against, I thought he worked hard again tonight)

BENTLEY- 9 (Fox in the box, 3 very different goals, the first was great athleticism, second couldn't really miss and third a fantastic half volley! HATRICK HERO)

EMERTON- 7 (Emo did well when he came on, worked hard)

JOHNSON- 5 (Ran about late on)

    MOKOENA- 5 (As above)

HUGHES- 10 (I FRICKIN LOVE THIS GUY)

  2. Its pretty disappointing to see Kuqi being made the scape goat. Alright he didn't have the best game, but neither did a few players, Neill and Gray come to mind.

We must take the positives out of the cup run, because we were effectively out two months ago when 2-0 down at Charlton yet we showed the character to go on and win 3-2! Kuqi inspired dont forget.

Middlesbrough was another success as we erased memories of Fulham and dominated against Boro. I believe that the Carling Cup win set us up well for the christmas period from which we took 9pts out of 9!

We had the positives of the home leg against Man U, Pedersen's goal and the defensive performance in the second half.

Ok tonight is a blip, but its not the end of the world! Were still in the FA cup and even if we go out of that were having a good season in the league.

I'm sure if I offered you 8th in the table and a Carling Cup Semi Final by this stage, back in August you would have bit my hand off! I know I would have been more than thrilled!

You could see Hughes at the end say to the players "chin up" and as supporters we must also hold our heads high.

Lets get behind the team at West Ham on Saturday, get behind every player! And lets beat Man United next Wednesday at Ewood.

    Cheer up guys n gals!

    IT COULD BE WORSE!!!!!!!

  5. Best of luck to Matt, I wish him well wherever he goes (if he does go) and I will never forget the promotion season, and the season after in which he was robbed of an England place!

I Hope he stays, because I do think he will get a chance once we reach the 35 point barrier, and effectively safe, please Matty see out this season and re-assess in the summer!

  6. I was looking to get a name and number on the back of my shirt! The prices are ridiculous!

    Letters= £1 each

    Numbers = £5 each

    Therefore

    1. Friedel = £12

    2. Neill = £10

    3. Khizanishvilli = £ 19 (Same price as another shirt)

    4. Todd = £9

    5. Flitcroft = £14

    6. Nelsen = £11

    7. Emerton = £12

    8. Savage = £11

    9. Kuqi = £9

    10. Dickov = £16

    11. Bellamy = £17

    12. Pedersen = £18

    13. Enckleman = £19 (Same as another shirt)

    14. Reid = £14

    15. Mokoena = £17

    16. Tugay = £15

    17. Jansen = £16

    18. Gresko = £16

    19. Thompson = £18

    20. Gallagher = £19 (Same as another shirt)

    21. Matteo = £16

    29. Bentley = £17

    33. Gray = £14

  7. Agreed, Tottenham matched Rovers but never looked threatening, Mark King had a good game at left back, and Jamie Clarke took his goal well but my man of the match would have to be right winger Alan Judge.

Roll on Round 4, hopefully against the Dingles who beat Hull 2-3.

One of the favourites, Arsenal, knocked out on penalties.

Man Utd, Man City, Newcastle, Bolton, Liverpool all through.

West Ham who beat Rovers last year = through

    The big club = out

    3rd Round Results

STOP PRESS. Rovers drawn at home to Derby Co. Dingles home to Fulham.

    4th Round Draw
