How has he had a shocker? He said he hopes to have most signings done by the time the team leaves for Austria. Now correct me if I am wrong, but have you a time machine? Cos I'm pretty sure they haven't left yet in this reality

You are actually saying he had a shocker for something that hasn't happened yet. Did you think before you wrote that?

Yes, I have a time machine.

Well 2 weeks from now the players and management will be in their hotel in Austria after their first day of training. Given that Mowbray has publicly said that he wants/expects the majority of summer business to be done before they depart (just over 12 days from now) we're either going to have an extremely busy week or so or he's going to be disappointed. That's assuming we're after at least 5-6 new players to replace departures and strengthen the squad and also need to factor in new contracts for Dack, Lenihan.

Mowbray has had a bit of a shocker here for me, thought this when he first came out with it; signings rarely happen as quickly as expected, all he does here is get out hopes up.

we need both Dack and Lenihan on 4 year contracts with no release clauses in them at all.

Graham should be offered a 1 year contract with a incentive if he played in more than 30 games this season he get a new 12 month contract on the same terms.

Please be realistic. KI has decided to leave Swansea. linked with a move to Italy.

don't think we should be looking at players at 29 years old tbh.

Mowbray still after him but City still don't know whether they want to sell him or loan him yet.

I agree on Experience PL players wages will be too high for us.

I agree with you that Mowbray Young and hungry mantra is the way forward. I also don't think they is much money around for transfers fees wise. not millions after millions. Of the 5 permanent transfers Mowbray wants before loans, I only expect 2 being cash buy and 3 being frees before we signed couple of loans players.

Players under 24 years old and younger is what Mowbray has said he is targeting

Some Players we could be looking at

Curtis Nelson 24 years old centre from Oxford United. out of contract this month. not signed a new contract yet

Clark Robertson 24 years centre back from Blackpool. out of contract this month

Hakeeb Adelakun 21 years old winger from Scunthorpe United. Out of contract this month

Harry Chapman 20 years old winger from Boro. 12 months left on his contract but I suspect Pulis wont be playing him so expect him to be sold.

Kadeem Harris 25 years old winger from Cardiff. out of contract this month.

Josh Brownhill 22 years old midfield from Bristol City. out of contract this month

     Please improve your grammar.

Saw the released list. A bit left field but how about the Korean Ki from Swansea and Lee Chung Yong? They struck me as hardworking and have some skills, albeit some time ago that I saw them play. Lee seems like a winger.

Ki could definitely do a job for us, surprised he's been released tbh, though like you I haven't seen him for a while. Only 29 thought so not like his legs have gone.

He did stand out against us but his goals record is pretty poor generally. Last season he got 6 in 21 games for Coventry in Lg2 and 4 in 11 for Oldham in Lg1. He's scored most of his career goals in French Div 5.

Yes but he is called 'Duckens', get him in immediately.

The timing is that the summer transfer window is open. He has had a great season. Did you not think clubs would be interested? Or did you expect them to wait until his contract negotiations were over?

What leads to your suspicion of Cardiff over other clubs?

Again - "of course", bound to happen. My point was it's a convenient time to link him with a couple of relegated Premier League clubs, and one heading up, for his agent to be able to say "look our Bradley could be playing in the Prem let's add £10k a week to that offer of yours".

Cardiff; they've just gone up and will struggle to recruit the big names vs Fulham and Wolves and so would be the most likely to take a chance on lower league talent.

@Mrgeoffpeters has posted below on his Twitter feed.

Premier League new boys Cardiff plus Middlesbrough and West Brom are among the clubs interested in signing Blackburn's Bradley Dack.

The £6m-rated midfielder helped Rovers win promotion to the Championship and was voted League One player of the season.

Nice timing with his new contract currently being negotiated.

He's just got an International call-up based on his form last year. He was POTY when we were last in the Championship. I've never understood the criticism of Del. He's solid enough as a defender and half decent going forward.

In the games I saw him he was solid enough defensively I agree but he seemed to panic when going forward. Ran past the halfway line, then turned around or at best passed sideways. Maybe that was more to do with what was in front of him..

Appears #Rovers defender Derrick Williams didn't train with Republic of Ireland today because of a groin problem, putting his involvement against USA on Saturday in doubt.

Coincidence. I don't bloody think so. Del's in Bristol having talks.

    Blueboy 1 v Nixaddy 0

Wouldn't be unhappy with this at all, if his form from last year continues he will struggle with the step-up to the Championship imo

Venky’s have always made money available. Look at when Bowyer he was in charge- he was still given some money to spend after all that money Kean had blown. Lambert- loads of loans and the odd signing. Even last season, Mowbray got money to spend.

Talk about sales all you want, but in the grand scheme of things Venky’s have put money into the club.

This won't go down well on here. You're painting Venkys in a very positive light and failing to mention what they have done to the club. In the 'grand scheme of things' they have completely f8cked us.

As of a day or two ago,  Sunderland have a new owner, and as you must have missed in my post, I said if they are top of the league they

will have massive crowds for league 1, I reckon well in excess of 30,000 probably even in the 40k's towards the end of the season.

They'll all be back to watch a winning team, they've forgotten what it's like to do that up there and it's a football mad city.

You're right I missed the 'if' and hadn't seen they have a new owner - had a bit of a shocker in truth, apologies.

I do think they'll struggle still, they just seem to do badly regardless if money is spent or they appoint a decent manager.

  12. 1 hour ago, West Yorks Rover said:

He'd be a lot closer to home and the crowds would be massive for League 1, if he had them at the top all season.

I think if I was him, I'd definitely be interested.

Anyway doesn't matter if they've already got Ross.

Sunderland are perennial losers with an owner that isn't interested and a dwindling fan base. The only thing they have over us is a bigger stadium which actually i'd argue isn't a positive when it will be 20% full most weeks.

I would be more than happy with him on loan. Oztumer on a free would be a better option. Chapman, Arma and a play making midfielder would be my priorities.

Out of all of the loan players we have had this year Chapman would be the one for me, different gear.

I know the lad hasn't exactly set Ewood on fire during his loan spell but I would certainly have him back next season. Has experienced promotion from the Championship and seems very keen to impress and improve.

Any news on the lad from Hibs at all that had supposedly signed a pre contract agreement?

But do we want to spend what little money we will have for transfers on a backup player?

Has Jim White got them yet??

That pr8ck. He's one of the worst. The last time he mentioned Rovers was when he declared "Venkys I'm coming to get you" on his sh*tty radio show just before chimp boy got potted. And did he do anything? Did he b&llocks.
