  1. Must admit- after watching the original brand split on network, I think this may develop some more interest in the b show, which I must admit I haven't watched for years.

Watched Raw Monday because extreme rules was ok, really enjoyed the Japanese style Steen vs Stiles match. Some gnarly neck breakers and KO is easily the best heel in the company these days (for me). Rollins is a really good "chicken @#/?" heel but I genuinely think Owens/Steen could be another Austin level heel who gets baby face pops.

  2. Had a meal at the hyndburn fonight, Whaley road- end of clayton! This was worth mentioning because two of the lads at the table are BRFCS posters, answers on a postcard which two!

Decent fare - service was good and relatively cheap. I had a burger, definitely homemade and good but you'd have to ask the others about dessert!

  3. First few series with them three (I was at uni around the time) couldn't get enough of it but the more deliberately staged it got, the more it bored me to tears. I'm not a big car fan tbh, but I had started to like the show. Can't see me watching Sunday though, Matt le Blanc and Chris Evans.... Just no.

Anyone watched "rovers" yet, going to give it a try but heard bad things.

  4. Joan is an example of what stardom, money and drug problems can do. Look at the way she changed in looks from the start of her career - which spiralled into pornography.

I can safely say I'd feel for anyone who got dropped in the way she did by ripple h, (even in Kay fabe!) but some of the interviews she's done with Russo make me realise just how far she'd gone.

RIP - in no way the best female sports entertainer of her time, but one of the most successful!

  5. Is that article still around?

Cole had pace and strength to burn, another like Shearer who could do lots of things besides score goals. Jordan will have to improve a lot to be considered in that ilk. It's also important to mention Stuart wasn't specifically comparing, just saying that he got similar stick I think - I can't agree mind, I only remember one famous comment from the idiot Hoddle about him needing 5 chances to score one. Cole wasn't just a scorer, he created chances, pressed well and particularly showed experience in his time with us.

The point is rhodes doesn't get any real stick for that scoring 1 for 5 chances- just the glaring deficiencies in his all round game. I'd argue that JR is probably more predatory than many strikers we've seen in blue and white - if he had the pace of Bellamy or the power of Jason Roberts, he would be playing champions league football right now. I'd have to argue that Yakubu was more predatory though, I'm sure that statto's will disprove that!

Relegation would've been easier to dismiss with Rhodes AND the new players - but at least we've made progress despite my earlier reservations of the transfer business. I was critical prior to Gomez and Watt joining, and it looks as if Ward is a capture we've also benefitted from.

If Graham starts to score a few, I'd be very confident that we will be nearer the playoffs than the relegation battle come May. Glad he dropped Bennett yesterday, as he's done absolutely zip so far.

  6. Course it comes back to Bowyer mate, you're celebrating our youth teams success (understandably), then the next phase of how successful that really is, would be if they graduate to the first team and remain there wouldn't it? Surely, that's the ultimate aim, like you said?

Not really the point- I was saying it's good to see and compared Southampton. Regardless of who comes in or after, at least seems we are at least showing semblance of creating possible first team players.
