I think the Dingles will go down this year, sold decent players and replaced with worse. Fortunately Dyche will probably move on as well as they show a real lack of ambition.

    is the game on TV?

Radio Lancs said not on TV earlier tonight.

“I will have some talks in the next week or two with the people who matter at this football club,” Mowbray said.

“Whether the journey for me continues or not. Let’s see. If it does, I can only see if being really strong if we can keep the right players.

“We will see how the summer goes.”

When asked if he would walk away from Ewood Park should he not receive the right assurances from Venky's Mowbray added: “That’s headline I don’t want to see or talk about.

“What’s important is that I sit down and have discussions in the next week or two with them and hopefully they’re positive."

    I trust TM.

Sounds daft when my heads still spinning after being relegated but even his presence at pitch side today made me aware of what we've missed.

  3. Excellent work Michael. Good to read that a Government Minister takes this seriously and will take on-board the story of our club with "seriously dysfunctional owners".

Would like to see some reaction in the (very) near future with the BRFC hitting the headlines for the right reasons.

With It'sards to this rule, I don't  see how it could ever be enforced. Who are the Football League to say 'player A' is officially a better player than 'player B'? There are no official ranking systems for players, it's not possible, so I don't see how they could dictate to a club which of their players are better than others.

Add all the other variables when it comes to a selecting a team, injuries/niggles, opposing personnel etc then I can't see how the Football League could get anywhere with that rule.

Yes but to take 10 players out! They broke the rule and should be punished.

  5. Trying to remain positive.

This season is now about hope after so much disappointment. We look to be hanging on by the skin of our teeth but as Greavesie said, its a funny old game. Who would have thought we could take 6 points off Newcastle.

Well done to the travelling 1,600 going on Sunday, hope this Sunday is a day of celebration for all of us.

There will be a lot of  southern teams in League 1 next season.  Never thought I'd be potentially grateful for short trips to Bury, Rochdale and Oldham:(

Possibly a day out at Blackpool :rover:

Glad to know last game is on Sky TV, albeit for the wrong reason. Does anyone know if game will be shown in Blues Bar?

Nervous week before we get conformation of which league and what (if anything) the future holds.

I've slept on it and still think Huddersfield were in the right. Even you consider the 'reasonable excuse' factor, they have the playoffs coming up and the team that played yesterday held Man City to a draw.

I don't feel we have much basis for complaint.

But if rule 24.1 says you must play your strongest side and a team rests 10 players, surely they are in the wrong.

Google it and you will see that many clubs from Man Utd to Southend break this rule, are in the wrong, and receive minor fines. But the severity of this for us is massive. However, expect to see something like a £3k fine imposed on them later in 2017.

    I'm not bitter

If Birmingham win then even if we beat Villa we need to win by 5 to go above Forest ...( before forest kick a ball) if they get beat by QPR 1-0 we need 4

A bit late now I think as we should have won games against Wolves, Bristol, North End, Fulham, Burton and Norwich at the very least.

Noticed Harry's words "...but it comes down to the players." If Birmingham get a result at Villa the man's a genius.

  10. Possible two or three players coming back from injury is good but TM has to be sure they are match fit and not risk non performance, Unlike first half against Bristol we need player hungrys for the ball. As someone said behind me on Saturday, all we ask for is 100%.

.........We need to be rooting for Birmingham to beat Burton ........

But if Birmingham beat Burton (they go to 50) and then get nothing from their three remaining games, which on paper could happen (Villa, Hudds & Bristol), we need 7 points plus a better GD.

But if Burton win at Birmingham, Birmingham on 47 and then get nothing with the three remaining games, which on paper is possble (Villa, Hudds & Bristol), we would need 4 points plus a better GD.

If and buts, football not played on paper....we need to beat Bristol .....things will be a lot clearer at 5pm Monday.

     :rover:

  12. Looking at remain fixtures IF Burton beat Big Club on Monday, Big Club's remaining games of neighbours Villa (a), promotion hopefuls Huddersfield (h), followed by a last game at Bristol is a tall order and their current tally of 47 points could be curtains.

We need to beat Bristol and hope Cardiff beat Forest. That will at least drag other clubs more into the equation.

I can't see Birmingham winning another game, they are terrible and coming under more and more pressure. I believe we can scrape ahead of them.

Was thinking the same. They're on 47 points with -19 goal difference and still to play Burton (h), Villa (a), Huddersfield (h) and Bristol (a).

You have to earn it. Wigan are a limited side but a team willing to graft and not give up. Unfortunately if last weeks evidence is anything to go by that is the opposite of us. The poor sides who work and don't give up can turn those sort of games around. Those with no plan b and no idea won't.

Agree to a point JH but I can't blame TM. He can only work with with the crap he has.
