Although a bit disappointed at no new signings today that would have raised play-off hopes I'm glad we haven't gone into the silly money bracket that would have caused problems if not promoted. Enjoyed league 1 success last season and apart from a few bad days Tony and co are doing ok in the Championship this season.
My still wants are the play-offs, to be top team in this area, to see Ewood Park at full capacity with full sound.
But the next my next want is to win on Saturday !

Just back, very bad traffic for some reason.
Excellent performance today, probably the best of the season.
Our midfield bossed the game, Evans and Travis didn't give them a moment on the ball, and Armstrong and Reed bombed forward giving us great attacking options.
The back four looked solid, Rodwell reads the game so well and Bennett had his best game at RB.
Well done TM and the boys, 4 wins on the trot makes us one of the form teams in the division. COYB
Green Lane bridge closure doesn't help Livesey tail back.
First half was our best performance in a long while. Raya picked out Graham's ball control a few times and although Dack was quiet he gave Armstrong his goal. Like you say Rodwell reads the game and was rewarded with a goal. Clever signing as he's obviously a higher level player.

Tiered legs throughout I thought but credit to Rodwell for a few classie touches, he should play every week, and Rothwell gave them something to think about when he came on, good impact. Although Dack almost scored he needed more energy. Travis was good worked hard for the team. Didn't expect 3 points after cup game so well done to the lads.
Also well done to standing BBN End fans. Great songs and sounds is really good to hear!!!!!
Chambers was booked for trying to dent turf around penalty spot. Good spot from assistant.
GREEN LANE BRIDGE CLOSURE CAUSED MASSIVE ROAD PROBLEM.

If we win next two home games we could be in spitting distance of play off positions. Not expecting promotion this season but the further up the league makes us all happy.
Ipswich to start with will be difficult after last nights long game so its up to Mowbray and his back room staff to earn their pay and rest/recover/refresh the lads as per their individual requirements. Dack wasn't 100% anyway, Graham needs wrapping in cotton wool, Mulgrew may not be ready yet and Reed may not be right.

LT: A late bang in the face for David Raya who is led off the pitch holding his eye stemming the flow of blood.
It must be bad if his eye has come out. Hope it's not the same injury as before.
Raya tweeted saying he'd had a few stitches on his eyebrow. -

PLEASE HOLD ON!!!!!

Tugay is the player that stays in my mind. There are many memories be it the long walk he made from Riverside when substituted, the outstanding goal from a corner, the Ewood sound "....Tugay, you are my Turkish delight....." or even just word going round ground that he was in BBN End hospitality.

We gave a great account of ourselves there; very unlucky to not come away with the win.
Travis was outstanding - MotM. It will be a Travis-ty if he isn't one of the first names on the team sheet for the rest of the season.
Dack has outgrown where we are. He was outstanding, and he would have been a star player in the opposition's team tonight - Premier League quality. On the quiet, he must be seeing that the rest of his team-mates aren't quite up to his level. He won't be hanging around for long, and I think we'll be lucky to keep him here in this window.
Evans looked out of his depth in the first 10-15 minutes, but settled well after that. Made a needless foul in the box to give away the penalty, though. I think he's OK for us at the moment, but if we want to go up next season, I don't think he should be a regular.
Left-back is a real problem. Bell cannot defend - his worst offence is failing to block any cross that comes in. He seems far too lethargic. Having said that, Williams seems be doing worse than Bell at the moment. A few months back, it would have been a no-brainer for me, but the tables have turned. I wonder if we'll be seeing Hart in that position some time soon.
The rest were decent, and held their own. Brereton barely had any touches during his 15-minute cameo.
I don't think Newcastle will play as badly as that in the replay, but I just wonder if Rafa is really bothered about this competition, given their league plight. Bring it on.
Agree with your comments. My questions for TM:
- Why have you delayed playing Travis?
- Have you had a word with Bell yet about his lack of attempt to prevent crosses? Its happening every week?

Just seen that Dack is likely to be off to Burnley or Brighton for £15m. Interesting.
@perthblue02 I don't want to play this any more.
3 minutes ago, RevidgeBlue said:Where have you seen that? £15m would be a ridiculously low fee.
Recall TM saying Dack wasn't going anywhere in January transfer - having said that money will do the talking.

How do you legally hold a player? (Genuine question).
I was meaning in a positional sense they were standing their ground preventing keeper from moving.
-
Charlie's corner kick was excellent with Dack & Graham legally holding defenders and keeper towards nearside post while ball bent into goal.
Something they work at when training according to TM.
Relief to see we can still hold onto a 2 1 lead.
-
Expect more concerns after today's game. As supporters we can speculate as to what, if anything, the transfer window will bring, but for the players what impact will it have on their game?
Innocent Rodriguez will rise to the occasion.

After watching the highlights a couple of times, the following points haven't been mentioned.
Mulgrew definitely dived for the peno. A great dive so it was. The Leeds player clumsiness meant it had to be given.
I would blame Lenihan for the 3rd Leeds goal. He is a couple of feet from Roofe. Not close enough and doesn't compete for the header. Inexcusable He needs to be replaced.
Raya pulled off some incredible saves
I'd also ask Bell why he allowed the cross in the first place, given that there was only seconds remaining. He provided no opposition not even close. A complete lack of ability, loss of concentration (as was Raya v Birmingham - does TM not mention the importance of closing a game down???). Had he held the player we would have come away with a draw. Seconds left Bell what on earth was you thinking about?

We need an animal of a centre half in January.
Won't be surprised if we now go and win at Bramall Lane.
Neither be surprised if we are 2 1 up then give it away in last minutes.

Credit the support at Leeds today. You were fantastic!

According to Sky Brentford deserved equalizer but I always have doubts in TM going into defensive mode when in front.
