Shocking result and from what I've heard awful play. ?
We need a new manager.

Why has Reed come on after 94 mins?
-
Is TM really the manager that can make us a better club??

It's very sad but we are unlikely to go down yet so drab and uninspiring I have very little interest in what happens for the rest of the season, it's all about planning for next.
We should be testing whether the likes of Brereton/Nuttall and Rothwell or any of the Academy Squad look as though they'll be able to come in and make an impact next season. If not we'll obviously have to look elsewhere.
In particular Chapman should be getting game time off the bench and being brought up to speed to start games. I find his situation very strange, he's only a young lad and must be fit enough to manage half an hour off the bench once or twice a week.
I'm sure many share your thoughts RB and maybe it could cross a player's mind if/when deciding on a 50/50 challenge. Hope the commitment is there and we get as high up the table as possible. How strong the demands of TM are may be a telling story.
Brereton has been tested at first team and it ain't working so leave him in u23's and make him hungry for the shirt. Nuttall should be on the bench ready for Graham if needed. You can't ignore the goals and ability of the 33 year old. I like Rothwell. TM says he needs to learn about positional play but there's no better way place to learn than in the starting 11. Agree with Chapman but I fear for his body strength after the injuries.

Is this still on?

One of TMs mistakes is he puts a team out that he thinks can do the job, Reading being an example, when we don't have the squad to rotate. During December I had Rotherham (away) as a sure win and it still can be depending on who he plays.

Said season was over two matches ago and someone came on questioning it - still dont think its season over?
Even TM does otherwise he would have gone for three points against Reading. All of this must really screw the minds of some players.

Honestly can't understand why having seen he lacks confidence, gets pushed off the ball and is a liability to the team, they haven't loaned him out or at least played him at U23 level.

.......The manager needs to think we are likely to have a very weak squad come August. Dack, Mulgrew, Lenihan and Graham all likely to be sold or too old to play regularly. Rodwell and Reed may not sign. Would leave us very weak across the team and needing an absolutely massive rebuilding job.
Again, January window was a missed opportunity to strengthen.

Very disappointing.
The last two defeats are down to TMs bad team selection. He rests players at Reading in order to field a strong side against his home team Middlesbrough. By his own admission this was "an emotional game" which from a football aspect is understandable but for me not acceptable when he is Rovers' manager. Why is he the only man (well almost) that puts Brereton in the team? I hate to say it but we need a new manager.

Pathetic performance. No urgency is last minutes of game. Got to be questions about Mowbray's ability now.

Loads of possession but nothing to put pressure on goal. TM obviously saving players for Middlesbrough game. There must be questions asked as to why no signings in January.

First shot on goal and they score.

The save that brought me and my dad to our feet. Great keeper.
RIP.

Lambert can fight his corner but the fact is Ipswich are a poor side due to player quality. Chambers (Ipswich) had a clear chance to test the Norwich keeper but his tame shot was no more than a pass. They are as good as in League 1.

I’ve pondered it for an hour or so, and wonder if fans would be more accepting of our position if Brereton had only cost the same as Armstrong? Around £1.5m?
Because without that ‘£7m spent’ tag (and Brereton hardly playing for us as it is), I think our form and place in the table so far looks about right.
I said from the start of the season that staying up is the goal, and anything from around 14th and above is a good season imo.
It does look right but there are other issues this season that cause concern like silly decisions from TM that have cost us and not just the no spend January window but the message coming through that we can't better the squad we already have. Today's positional movement of Bennett shows TM is wrong about the current squad strength.

Just a thought, but in a game like today's, we could have done with a bit of magic from the bench in the form of Harry Chapman. I honestly think we would've won it with that injection of magic. I'm guessing he's quite far off being in the match-day squad, though. ?
That's exactly what we needed today. Instead poor all round. Dack was lost, Bennett played in almost every position and with no service to Graham it was unlikely we would score.
Still disappointed about last week.

Only a bit of fun as they were all fantastic players but I'd have put Parkes and Duff in before Friedel. Obviously them Hendry and Tugay should be amongst the next ones in along with Sir Roger Jones and Noel Brotherston. Cole for scoring the winner in a League Cup final? Howard Kendall?
Plenty of players from the sixties worthy of inclusion as well. Nice idea.
Definitely these two. Sir Roger was Knighted and Noel crowned King both at Ewood. What more do you need?

Leicester have no answer. If this carries on we could be in double figures!

You win promotion by having a solid defence, not trying to outscore the opposition.
Priority No 1 is to have a keeper who doesn't cost vital points by making silly mistakes, then a domnant centre half.
We have neither
Just seen the Raya error. Safe to say he wont be in team next week ...pathetic.

We need a new manager. At his own admission money was there to bring in new players - stubborn attitude?

Ok if the money to strengthen ins't there, but it was.
Many on this board are well satisfied with championship consolidation but the fact is our performances are crap and stats don't lie. As Sharp says that's 8 times we've scored 2 in a game and lost, and that's just one worry stat. Time for a change before next season.
