The town centre will be full of Rovers fans, just don’t go in with colours on display.
In the town centre you can't get in the The Northern Way as an away fan, and The Grey Friar has stopped letting people in (overcrowded?) about an hour before kick off a couple of times. Other than that, as you say, generally it's all good in the centre.

Wharton starts for Palace, and is 10/1 for an assist on bet365 🙂

yea its a shame its only every Thursday would of been better with more players over 2 nights
I don't know what I would do with it. It's a struggle to fit it in the calendar as it is, so I can't see it going over 2 nights.
As a competition it just seems to go on and on. The early rounds seem to have very little riding on them, but by the time you get to the last weeks you tend to know generally who is through and who is eliminated with maybe 1 or 2 spots up for grabs. So many games feel like dead rubbers and there is little drama.
It's never hidden the fact that the week nights are glorified exhibitions to let fans who won't get tickets for the major tournaments experience live darts, albeit from a distance. It's just very meh compared to most other tournament on TV.

Problem now is that if Samir T and Leo W are on 10 grand a week then Dolan, Gally and SS will demand at least 20…
Semir and Leo won’t be on anywhere near £10k. Leo was always coming in as backup to Pears and Telalovic will be lucky to be on a couple of grand and some magic beans.
If we had a budget then I think we could replace Gally and Dolan for similar or better, but if they go in the next 18months it will be a freebies or someone else’s kids coming in.

Completely off topic, but whilst we are talking about nats piss, does anyone know if you can normally get a pint pre-game at Deepdale. Last year it was no alcohol, but it may have been with being a Saturday night. I’m sure previously that’s not been the case.

What's the point, he was shit when he got on with JDT.....So many on here with short memories about a range of things. It's no coincidence that Ipswich have fallen off a bit with him starting in their midfield.
Do you not remember watching him last season? He was awful for much of it.
He’s only started 2 games, a win over Sunderland and a draw with league leaders Leicester. Check your facts.

Not an option. But might have a future at the club again next season.

Problem is, what are this set of players suitable for?
They can't play the tippy tappy stuff.
They are too slow to play on the break.
Too small/weak to go direct/long ball.
It's a piss poor squad.
Yep. There is danger when the tactics are changed we find we go even worse.

The guy was taking us into league one, he knew the score last summer and should have walked. instead he’s persisted with his brand with a group of players not suited to it.
Surely its also Greggs job to find players to suit the style we play, not the managers job to keep reworking his tactics every transfer window. Ennis and Telalovic arent texhnically able to play the JDT way, and Sigurdsson couldn’t press his pants.

My info was correct. The forms needed to be sent were not sent and no one realised until it was too late. “Left on the machine” and “saved not sent” were the differences. That depends on who’s to believe I suppose.
love the support as always Hasta, appreciate it honey.
Lol. We knew the forms had been late being sent on Saturday two days before your ITK fantasy. But keep em coming. Saying McGuire was in Manchester when he was then proven to be still on the other side of the Atlantic will take some beating.

Some of the forms needed to register McGuire were lying on top of the fax machine and hadn't been sent. Whether these were visa, international clearance/registration I do not know. The club sent all relevant forms to the EFL and went ahead with the announcement. It wasn't until hours later that this was discovered thus creating the mess we are now in.
With the club yesterday admitting the revelation about us saving the document on the EFL system but not sending it was true , at least we now know Tommys fax weren’t actually facts.

Kean Out day was the single most enjoyable day following Rovers under Venkys.
Doncaster away was the second.
When this King Cnut goes it may well be the third.

I despise Venkys and Waggott as much as the next guy but I can't really fault the players for commenting on the booing. Yes they make good money and live a certain lifestyle but they are still people trying their best. Some of these players are 20 years old and of course it will rattle them when people are booing them. If we were to help the players during the match what will help them most? Cheering them on or booing them and telling them they are awful. I know what I think.
All our anger and resentment should be aimed at Venkys.
We were shit throughout the entire first half, and they eventually got mildly booed walking off the pitch at half time. How did booing at half time affect the their performance? How did booing at half time affect us in the away games recently when we were 2 or 3 goals down before half time? Or against Cambridge in that first half? It didn’t. It’s an excuse for bad performances.
And then they have the fucking cheek to sit there and complain about it to people who pay £400+ a year to keep them in their well paid ideal career whilst the club around them is a laughing stock with shambolic errors every week off the pitch, pissing money away with dumb commercial decisions.
95% of the anger on Saturday was clearly at Venkys and Waggot. The boos at half time happen at practically every club up and down the country when teams who are struggling are behind in ‘easier’ games at home. Remember JDT made sure to praise the fans in his interview for keeping supporting the team against QPR. Strange if half time was spent talking about the crowd.
I dont know which player said what, or what their body language of each player was, and I doubt any of the attendees will go into that much detail Therefore off the info I have I can only lump them together and as the 5 most senior pros the club could muster, they have been cowardly today.

Apparently Waggot and ‘the Rovers PR guy’ were in the room.
We have a PR guy 😲😲😲
He’s shitter at his job than Chris Brown was.

From the people I’ve spoken to in the last hour, this is going to massively backfire when this gets out. There’s been little to no discontent at Ewood despite the shocking form, and yet the players are brought out by Waggot to cry about it infront of fans. Wow. They can fuck off as well.

2 minutes ago, J*B said:I was there - got the phone call last night. Not really sure why me specifically, it wasn’t specifically through BRFCS. But I thought it’s better to be there than not, so I went down.
Basically what Glen has tweeted was how the meeting went. It was an informal chat with the players then Waggott. There’s no minutes.
The general discussion was the players mentioning the atmosphere at home games and specifically the end of the QPR match and during another match (they couldn’t remember which) where they were boo’d off at half time. They said the senior players spent half time keeping the younger players in the rate state of mind and that’s not the best use of time.
I made it abundantly clear to all the players that any booing is directly at one of Venkys, Pasha and Waggott or JDT. Szmodics especially said “we’re open to criticism, we were shit against Huddersfield and we know it”.
I also explained to the players that unfortunately this club has had ‘ownership issues’ for 14 years now and whilst the last five years have been relatively stable, until the issues with ownership and senior management are addressed it’s only ever a stubbed toe away from discontent amongst the fan base.
The players also asked how we could get more fans in the stadium at Ewood. I explained to them the issues with ticket pricing and season ticket pricing — which I described as “abhorrent” — and the horrific deprivation in the local area meaning that fans would love to go but frankly have to pick between eating and heating, meaning there’s little spare money and not enough to be spending on tickets.
So basically the meeting was called so 5 senior players could say to a number of fans who have no real clout over the fan base “stop booing when we are shit, we don’t like it.

I'm not sure they did know they were selling Wharton.
Had the court case gone as planned and Venkys been allowed to send funds I think Wharton would have stopped till the summer. It was a knee-jerk reaction in my view. We will only have received a portion of the fee up front, but it will tie us over until more funds can be released. As many people say, if the judge says no we will be screwed.
Regardless, if we do go down, loaning out Travis will go down in Rovers history as one hell of a stupid decision. For me, Tronstadt is steady but isn't the upgrade on Trav people make out. I'd be happier at Preston with a Tronstadt / Travis midfield than any we are likely to field.
