Sorry. I was being lazy and took that as a presumption off one post I’d just read. -
Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas
Hasta replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Some people (many on here) have walked away for a long time. Despite my angst at the club, I couldn’t lose the social aspect of going to Ewood for many, many years as they have done. That’s why I’ve got a season ticket in practically every season of their 15 year tenure. If I thought not renewing would see their exit within months then I would, but not enough people would follow suit, so I don’t. I appreciate it’s a little bit chicken and egg, but I’ve not been prepared to lose years of my Rovers-supporting life. However if you really want to try and force change (Whether it’s just the people running the club or ultimately a change in ownership) then 1 game is not a big sacrifice to make. If there was 0 home fans in the ground it absolutely would work. The power the coalition would then be able to wield would but huge. It’s just how low can we get the numbers? -

I had it after the Sheff Weds game. I spoke to, or overheard, 3 people asking why the fans were singing for Venkys out when "They can't control the weather". I pointed out to one in the Fernhurst that they could have redone the pitch at any point in the last few years , then I had to shoot down the FFP reply and then he suddenly went "Oh, didn't know that". If you never came on here, or never went on X, and only ever read the LT and mainstream news sites, think about how little you would know compared to what we do know. I said it last month, but the only way I see a Vexit is Pasha leaving and them no longer having a trusted Crony in place and thinking ah sack it. This is more hassle. -

This depends how a “phased, strategic boycott” is going to work (as it’s worded on X). You will get a number of people prepared to miss one game. You will not get them prepared to miss several. You may get people to stop spending on the concourse for certain games etc… but not consistently. And the minute this appears to fails you almost give the club a mandate to carry on as is. -

“ His primary position is a winger – a number seven or 11 – but he is able to be flexible and can also play as a wing-back and a full-back.” says Val “No he can’t”, says me. -

Stick a large vegetable up the “significant investment”. -
It's not about how you win, it's about how you accept defeat.

I like the early rounds just for stories like that Indian lad winning today. A single win in this tournament means more to players like him than reaching semi-finals and finals means to the more established players.
-
They also said Blackburn had been ‘another’ of the big spenders in the summer. Which tells you what they know.

If we boycotted a home league game where nobody attended (for example under 1500 home fans) it would cause huge shock waves internally. If it was backed with a coalition statement saying there would further calls to hold off attending next year (and a hint about season ticket boycotts), you would see some movement I suspect. At the very least removing Pasha and putting in another puppet. Im a season ticket holden but our group would do that a in a heartbeat. Thats because I genuinely do think we need a change. Of course we don’t know for sure if it would work. However although there has been an organic boycott to reduce crowds to what levels we are now, to suddenly remove the majority of those supporters Venkys regard as “cash cows” (like me) would be huge. Other than an afternoons ‘entertainment’, what is there to lose? The problem is some people won’t miss even one game, I presume because they do not think there is any damage being done by the owners and the ‘board’. It’s the only reason they wouldn’t try it as a one off, and that’s where the problem lies. It took multiple missed payments to players before Sheff Weds fans got everyone aligned - and it’s highly unlikely we would hit that point. -
Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
Hasta replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Unsurprisingly, you seem to be arguing against something which @roversfan99didnt say. His point was whoever was brought in as manager would have to accept the reduction in the maximum salary, key players being forced out of the door and cheap replacements being brought in. Ambitious managers wouldn’t accept that, which means you are looking at people whose reputation is on the wane. For all we know, once Wagner heard the details about the latest ‘project’ he turned it down. -
Looks like it has become a bit of an urban myth.

Paul Lim. 71 years old and wins at the World,Championships once again. His averages are probably as good now as they were 35 years ago. What a legend.

With apologies to All Saints. "Dion De Neve have I ever felt so low When you gonna take me out of this black hole? Dion De Neve have I ever felt so sad The way I'm feeling, yeah, you got me feeling really bad"
-
If I was at work now I'd be getting Photoshop out and a picture of De Neve and Tavares.
-
Is your squad full of Eurotrash?
-
Exciting times this Rudy, you arrogant, stubborn buffoon. Sorry if that counts as “social media abuse”.
-
Yeah. That was stupid. Bet that doesn’t make Val’s “list”
-
The problem clearly is the downgrading which leads to lack of consistency. Look at the goals conceded recently and most of them are easily identifiable bad mistakes. The two today are De Neve losing his man and Ribero / Pears inexplicably not stopping the corner. Oxford was McLaughlin (I think) stupidly heading it into his own are instead of clearing it. Ipswich was Miller just not getting near a 40 yard punt forward. QPR was De Neve just watching his man for 20 seconds before the ball came in. Theres only the Wrexham one where you can’t allocate clear blame.
-
It’s his own fault for picking him. He’s not got a good defensive brain. He’s got away with it in the European pub leagues, but he’s not aware enough. He offers nothing going forward anyway and can’t defend. Pickering is a far better bet but their stupidity won’t let them pick him.
-
He will be blaming the fans for not taking several thousand down there. And the ref.
-
Which centre half is as good as Hyam?
-
He was part of the senior players who told Gestede / Pasha they were unhappy with the manner of Eustace leaving. He’s the only one still here.
-
Hmmm. Absolutely shocking from De Neve. Again.
-
OK, but who are we playing at LCB who is better than the one sat on the bench who has done it amicably before? It’s fucking scandalous. We are throwing points away because we refuse to play a player who we are having to pay anyway.
