  1. Garrett is going to be like Willem Tomlinson. Looked ok when I saw him for Rovers, but his career has divebombed through the footballing pyramid.
  2. He was the first manager open enough to name-checked Suhail as the man to ask regarding the problems at the club. That was good enough for me.
  3. It will be very marmite I suspect. Ive seen it and I think it’s absolutely hideous, but the lad who had it on loved it. Marketing-wise, that’s probably better than being a 6/10 with everyone
  4. I’d be fairly equal, albeit in putting a lot of weight on Sammy being much better that what we’ve got. If we added a striker and a CB we’d be in a very good position IF we don’t lose anyone.
  5. Depends how much value you are giving Sammy, Gallagher and Dolan compared to whichever 3 you are starting up front. Toth is an upgrade. Pickering / Ribeiro I think are interchangeable at the moment.
  6. Matchplay starts this weekend at Blackpool. Littler obviously red hot favourite but should be competitive all the way through, with it being the top 16 in the world and then the next top 16 from the pro tour over the last 12 months. Everyone here on achieved merit over a long period.
  7. I find Dubois is a hard guy to like. He is just character-less. Not too fussed who wins tbh.
  8. Considering he’s not even featured for the under 21s I thought he did ok. I wasnt watching him thinking “he’s shit”
  9. Ismael clearly wants workrate and pressing from the front of the pitch which suits Yuki better. If you look at the good run at the end of the season, Gueye never got more than 20 minutes in any of those games.
  10. You’d be playing top trumps and have the best card possible and you’d lose it to some giant beanpole on one of those. 😂
  11. You’re the touchy one. “Oooh someone criticised a player new player by spouting facts.”. Context on what? I checked how many games he started on his Wiki page and that was it. I didn’t realise from there that he actually wasn’t first choice centre back last season either.
  12. WTF you on about? The poster said he was a starting CB for a team that finished 7th. I thought interesting, so I checked. And he wasn’t. What am I meant to do? Agree and lie just to make us all feel rosey about a new signing. Ive said he is a decent squad signing and an upgrade on Sanderson from last years squad. He will also be more durable than Carter and Wharton. Stop looking for shit that’s not there.
  13. No. Only started 13 games that season. He started 37 last season when they finished 21st.
  14. Decent squad signing. I suspect he will be a level above Dion Sanderson, but not sure he’s first choice if top 6 is your aim.
  15. Yeah but half of Blackburn doesn't support Everton.
  16. Here's Yuki nodding in a late equaliser at Carrow Road last season in that iconic pink kit.
  17. Have we not worn blue and white at all of those previously?
  18. Home kit - Ok 7/10 Away kit - too contrasting with baby poo colours and odd images 3/10 Third Kit - OK. Not sure about the way the colours blend up close. Probably looks good at a distance. 6/10
  19. The idea doesn't bother me although we are celebrating the club not the town so I'd have preferred older images relating to Ewood and the club in general. I don't like the fact that the 'print' is a darker colour falling on the yellow which means it looks predominantly a kind of a dirty mustardy brown colour. I'd have preferred it to be a base colour which didn't go such crappy shade when it goes darker. Red or grey maybe. Also makes it a bit more subtle.
  20. I don't disagree, but I think it's just a very average quartet at this level (presuming they all keep fit). What Eustace did well was develop a shape with two midfielders who were well capable of protecting the space in front of the defence. The shape of the team was a contributing factor almost as much as the players. In JDT's final season, Wharton, Carter, Hyam were fit and partnered together for the vast majority of the season and conceded the 3rd-most goals in the league (74)
  21. On the young players, of course the better ones should be in the squad. If you think they are good enough now, or will become good enough over the next season or two with experience, then they should be included. This is why the re-signing of Forshaw was bizarre unless we are expecting more departures. That does block their pathway, especially if Montgomery is seen as any good. Experience isn't really relevant when Trosntadt has played almost as many senior games and Travis isn't too far behind. They were the experienced pro's.
