Agree. We know the squad is poor. That’s why our average players cant make the most of the good opportunities we make. But every time we make subs we get worse. Before the two Japanese lads went off we were creating chances still. After they went off it was just absolute backs to the wall.

I feel the same. Midweeks are always a rush to get back from work, get changed and get down to Ewood. I went on Tuesday, maybe a knock on effect of enjoying Deepdale so much. I simply can't be arsed with the rushing around next week, especially as I can't easily get my mate's ticket (who never makes midweeks) to bring a friend any more. Doesn't stop him being "integrated into the squad". He was training with the side from the international break. If you'd said he lacks match fitness that's different, but from the way he's been talked about he should be playing 60 minutes and coming off rather than letting TGH (who is an honest lad) huff and puff for most of the game.

How do clubs ever sign players in January transfer windows who then go straight into starting line-ups then? He's been around the squad all season. Surely he understands the system. If he's significantly better than TGH and Montgomery then he's worth starting for the improvement in quality.

I feel the key is to get Pasha out. He's been the constant running the show for 15 years. If he's gone they need to find a replacement. They won't trust employing competent people in a proper process so they might think "Sack it, lets get shut now". He's a stubborn, shadowy swine but for 14 years he's had an easy ride externally.

Considering Baradji was our stellar, number one Trav-busting target and he's now featured in a couple of games, surely he starts this game with the injuries we have. We will then see if he's anywhere near the hype the club tried to build around him. Or if he's a Sidnei.

Hmm. You are right, but both Flash Scores and Transfermrkt only show 4 yellows so the stats sites are missing one of his cards somewhere.

TGH on 4 yellow cards so I think another means a ban (he’s got 4 more games to navigate before a 5th yellow avoids a ban). Hopefully Baradji is more up to speed for if / when it happens.

There was a fairly large Police escort after the game taking a group of fans back into town. We followed it down to the Adelphi where it continued further into town. I just presumed it was PNE fans as weirdly Preston is one of the only places I’ve seen the home fans in an escort before.

I just think Wharton is so important in that back line. We saw how when he was absent we didn't deal with Derby aerially. I dont know what Preston are like from set pieces, but I just can't see us winning. I'm certainly going there less confident than we have done for the last few seasons.

Away fans look like they are in the Enclosure area (Darwen End) and the Nuttall Street Upper (DE) in that video. I don’t remember away fans in the seats. Did they use to have half the stand when they had the upper?

If we are playing 3 at the back, I still think Pickering is your best bet. He's done it before. However as I heard he was one of the players unhappy with Rudy & Co. back when Eustace left (along with Leonard, Hyam, Travis, Weimann), I think his absence is less suspicious than that of Cantwell.
