  1. Have we not played a competitive game at Ewood in our away kit once for some reason to do with the away side (either both kits they brought were a colour clash or they forgot one or something)? I feel like it's happened in the last 30 years at some point.
  2. More money this. More money that. Maybe, like JDT and Eustace, they just don't like the people running the club and don't want to be here. See Batth, Brittain, Weiman and I suspect the remaining contract expiree's A functioning club not run by idiots that are doing their best to get into the Premier League will be a big carrot for any championship regular at Ewood.
  3. Brentford sold high and bought quality, not cheap tat. Some of the regular players in the side that got them promoted cost:- Raya £3mill Toney - £5mill Pinnock - £3mill Jansson - £5.75 mill Jensen - £3.25 mill Mbuemo - £6mill Canos - £2.5 Mill That’s £28.5 million spent on 7 of their starting 11 when they went up. They brought money in but invested it again by buying quality. I’m sure those players weren’t on peanuts either. They just had good , knowledgable football people running the show.
  4. https://www.bradfordcityafc.com/news/2025/july/14/blackburn-tickets-on-sale-wednesday/ Tickets for the league cup game look like they are £10 (or possibly £12 for home fans) Interesting that there are “safe standing” away tickets in seats 167 to 180. Will that be right up against the JW stand?
  5. Every other league has relegation odds. It’s like in the Championship they are waiting to see what happens with Sheff Wednesday and any other potential points deductions (Leicester) before they price it up.
  6. Rovers non-season ticket holders who fancy a visit to Ewood on Saturday are being charged more than Everton fans 🤪
  7. lol. That’s reliable. Have a look of Boylesports website. They haven’t got the market up just like every other bookie. For comparison, Newcastle are only 250/1 to get relegated from the Prem. Rovers were about 4/1 to be relegated last year and I suspect we will be about 6/1 this year. 350-1 😂
  8. I posted back around April that I'd been told the senior players were annoyed with the manner of Eustace's departure, the lack of ambition in the club and their general dealing with the board (who I took as Waggot / Pasha). Since then Baath and Weimann haven't re-signed. Brittain wants out. No progress on Tronstadt and Travis. The club know this and so far our recruitment seems to be to replace them on the cheap.
  9. Alebiosu is 23 years old, has played over 50 senior games and cost us a fee. He's the replacement. The cynic in me says he always was.
  10. There isn't one yet. For some reason he's bullshitting.
  11. Ismael is actually blaming Rudy when he says that. JE wanted the contracts sorted before Christmas and that was Rudy’s job.
  12. The only reason I believe he was offered a contract because that story and the previous one was around the time we were actually extending peoples contracts. I can’t see why we would extend the likes of JRC and not Dolan. How much we were offering him in comparison to our other regular starters is another question.
  13. So if Batth wasn't brought in as a key player then he was a backup player which was the original point. Unless there is a difference between a backup player and a squad player. And if so, what is Forshaw 🤷‍♂️
  14. I have moved on. There is more chance of Brittain signing a 4 year contract than you explaining yourself.
  15. Ok. So you have players that play more than others. The ones that play less are backup players. Therefore Baath was on the bench at the start of the season, got in due to Carter having to move to right back and then dropped to the bench again once Brittain was fit. So he was brought in as a backup player, but injuries and then solid performances forced him to become a regular starter. Which is all we are saying.
  16. Waffle, waffle waffle. Tin pot deflection . You make a comment and then are unable to explain what you mean.
  17. I imagine @Tomphil2 will say a squad player and a backup player are practically the same thing. I agree. Someone who doesn’t expect to start many games unless there are injuries or people drop out of form. You say they are different. Therefore I’m asking you what the difference is.
  18. Yeah but having the fourth best team in England win it, whilst the top two from last seasons Premier League sit it out, just about sums it up.
  19. You must know what a backup player is as you said “who said Batth came here as a backup player”. Then you said Batth came as “not a backup player but a squad role” implying that they are different. To me they are the same. So I’m asking you to clarify why they think they are different, not the original poster. - What do you define as a backup player compared to a squad player? - If Batth came in as a squad player do you think this means he was told he was to be an important player for the first team? - Therefore does this apply to Forshaw if he is also a squad player?
  20. Not watched a game, but I hope Chelsea win just to make a bit of a mockery of it.
  21. So what’s a backup player? And if you said not to worry as Forshaw was only 5th choice, why did you keep telling us he had signed as a “squad player” if that’s not a backup player?
