  1. Needed a left back there.
  2. Do we have a link to that? Because I remember after that was said, @Kjell posted this post, which said that in another Norwegian podcast Tronstad said:- I want to stay abroad for as long as possible. I’d really like to stay at Rovers, I enjoy it a lot there. I have NOT received any contract offer from Rovers, there have only been some informal conversations. Now I can’t find links to any podcast so don’t believe either view over the other, but the Elliot Jackson article about Tronstadt over the summer quotes Rudy as saying he wants to leave for personal reasons, and I don’t believe Rudy.
  3. I think this was debunked as false at the time.
  4. But I was replying to the point quoted, which says we can’t expect to see Baradji yet because he needs to “…get used to Training and what Ismael was going to want from him. “ Surely him being in the club for 5 months would make him more likely to understand what is wanted from him than Henriksson walking through the door and playing straight away. He’s not starting cos they don’t trust his fitness 4 months after signing him on a 9 month deal.
  5. Normally I can decipher it, but this one beats me.
  6. We signed Henriksson on the 6th August, and two days later he started at West Brom, so your points about getting used to training and what Ismael wants are moot. Morishita featured days after signing and then started the next game. History is littered with players who move in a transfer window and start for their new clubs days after. In the case of Baradji it’s not like he’s replacing established players. We’ve got a major injury crisis so surely he should be starting even if he’s not exactly learnt every intricacy of Ismael’s tactics - especially if he’s as good as the club believe. He’s clearly not fully right and is taking far longer than the club anticipated to be fit, which on a season-long deal is bonkers financially.
  7. They've not been great at Fratton Park this season. They are the lowest scorers along with us at home apart from Sheff Wednesday. (That doesn't include the 2 goals we had "rained off"). Defensively we have been OK. If Tronstadt plays I think we could nick this.
  8. Of course he was a signing. We had the option of giving him a new contract and paying him a salary. Or bringing in someone else and paying them a salary. "Forshaw becomes Rovers’ second signing of the summer, following the arrival of Belgian winger Dion De Neve earlier this month."
  9. He started training on the 16th of November and has featured 4 times. It was Ismael who said we could expect to see him after the international break. And yet a month after he started training we still can’t risk starting him for 60 minutes, even with an injury crisis.
  10. Baradji still not able to start. Back after the international break? Be lucky if he starts before the World Cup at this rate.
  11. He hasn't looked terrible in the 10 minutes we've seen him. I just don;t get how he has been training for 4 weeks, on the bench and featured briefly but can't be ready to start yet. He's had about a full pre-season back in training.
  12. I said this earlier. Surely if there is an inspection and it's not playable at 2pm then it's called off. Otherwise what's the point if you are going to say "yeah but the forecast wasn't that bad".
  13. What an absolute waste of funds this lad has been. How can he still not be available to start.
  14. Yep. Just to clarify I would always prefer a lower league side at home and a better chance to progress. I think I'm thinking more what would be an interesting tie. If we got most premier league clubs away I'd just think FFS. But Everton do have a local, shiny new stadium that we haven't been to so, like Wrexham away this season, it comes with a lot of novelty value.
  15. Everton away is a good shout. New ground. Relatively local.
  16. He did it against Preston a week or two before when he scored a cracker and ran the game in midfield. I thought the penny had dropped at the end of that season and he would kick on. Not to be.
  17. Dolan sent off for two yellows tonight. Second is a shocking dive by the opposition player.
  18. I completely agree that had yesterday got to 77 minutes like the Ipswich game it would have been even worse. The rain was incessant for the next hour or two. But you clearly do need the video as, at the point of abandonment, the amount of surface water visible against Ipswich and coming up from the movement of the ball was worse than yesterday. You can say “yeah but it’s my opinion”, but the amount of surface water is factual rather than opinion and the pictures prove you are wrong. https://youtu.be/LnVSeY2pkgI?si=kK1sugS3B8kic4SU
  19. How can you look at this video, and then say yesterday's conditions were worse than this with a straight face. VID-20250920-WA0008.mp4
  20. https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/football/sheffield-wednesday/blackburn-rovers-sheffield-wednesday-5432460 Don't know if that got linked last night on here but good article.
