The final ball / cross and the movement from the front line is just so poor. We played well only in the fact we had more of the ball, but on incursions into each others final third they looked more dangerous. Some of our overhit crosses are embarrassing. De Neve just running the ball out for a goal kick summed up the quality of the incomings. I remember Kargbo doing exactly the same thing last year.

The January 2026 Transfer Window

In another time and place it could have been an interesting signing. Not sure he’s what we need now unless we are ditching the wing backs. -

He’s a very good league one left winger, who struggled when played centrally for Bolton. -
I said to someone at half time, there’s a difference between playing bad and bad players, and we have too many of the latter.
-
Looked it from JW upper. Is it on replay?

I might be looking for the bad in him, but for the first 20 minutes he was awful. Better after that, but his ability to go backwards when a reasonably straight forward ball is on is frustrating. The fact he's better than Tavares and as good as TGH is damning.

You wouldn’t put it past Oxford beating Big Club today.

Not a cat in hells chance they’ll do the FF on the 9th if this transfer window goes as expected. -

Who was it who derogatorily said we might “end up with somebody like Colby Bishop” a few weeks ago. That would be like signing Zlatan at the moment. -

I’m surprised this lot didn’t end up getting a fire stick in the blues bar. -

Incase Pasha and Yusuf need a new job? -
Paul Gallagher? Dropped deeper as he got older but we brought him through as a forward I think?

Not hard as such, but Flitty was always one who seemed happy to back his teammates up, or keen to get involved in a battle. -
Which shady dealings are you referring to? An agent was operating out of Brockhall and was bypassing the board on transfer dealings making sure certain agents profited. This is known through the JW letters and the authorities are aware, but have chosen to ignore it. However the agents fees paid are known. It's not new knowledge. The other dodgy dealings are we paid ridiculously high agents fees and only bought players from he same pot. But I'm not sure that's illegal, just badly run. The past rumours which could be unearthed in due diligence due to a a sale are Venkys didn't fully own the club, they were just a proxy, match fixing / betting (highly unlikely and wouldn't show in due diligence) and any evidence of money laundering (highly unlikely).

Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas

Very poorly written article with little substance. As Masher says, the ref will call the game on or off. Not Pasha. -
But are unable to see that almost everybody they ever put in to run the club has been incompetent. After the Shebby Singh era they should have employed the best person to run the club, give them a set budget and let them get on with it without interference. The problem is they knew nothing of the football landscape, wouldn’t have any clue how to interview for that role and their only ‘trusted’ people had already put Kean in charge and lost them millions. In Pasha, they feel they have a safe pair of hands who won’t screw them over as they had done to them in the past. And as he cuts costs they are happy. And again, they have no understanding of football so are unaware how the club is currently heading backwards in terms of infrastructure, player quality and reputation. Thats my view on it anyway.

We will chase Cleary for a week and either won't meet the valuation, or someone will come in a pinch him last minute. We will end up with a Cauley Woodrow style loan just before the window shuts, if we can get rid of one of the left backs.- 5304 replies

Presuming all people that bought tickets and had season tickets attended those games 😉

It’s that run in after Easter I don’t like the look of. I know this league pulls out unexpected results, which we have really highlighted this year, but I can’t help thinking we are squandering the fixtures in which I expect us to garner points.

The winner was a great strike by Cunha.

Excellent post. There’s plenty of fair debate on here, and the narrative that opposite views aren’t tolerated is nonsense. I can’t help thinking there’s a few posters on here in the last 24 hours desperate for some personal namecalling or an OTT rebuke so they can run back over the road and cry how nasty we are.
-
And that’s where we disagree, as I outlined to you last week here. Maybe you mistook it for one of them posts on here that was more interested in “killing off debate” .
-
And why wouldnt you be angry at all that I posted? If you're not angry at how the club is being run (and I didnt even mentioned the squad or performances) then you really are a "happy clapper".

I’d take a league one club if the people running it treated the fans, the employees and the club with respect. But the current club treats the fans with no respect, they treat the fans forum and the trust with no respect. The treatment of the women’s team was a national outrage, not so much becausd they didn’t want to spend the money but the lack of information and support the players were given. How many long standing employees have left under the recent ‘management’? There's too many rumours around for some of it not to stick. We used to have our heritage on the walls of the ground, both inside and outside. It was removed and discarded as trash. Brockhall land sale, payday loans, transfer deadline mess ups, 150th anniversary mess ups. You cant look at the club as it’s been in the last few years and be proud of it. It’s embarrassing. That’s the bigger picture. Not sucking up to the Venky coin in desperation to keep floundering in the championship under arrogant fools.
