v Millwall (h) - Good Friday 18/4/2025, 3pm

Which was a bit daft considering what you replied to with your first sentences. But even under Eustace the Sunderland, Burnley and Leeds performances (without the key Trav / Tronstadt axis) were still decent. His penultimate game against Preston was also good for 80 minutes. It’s not like we were completely shocking. Lowe proved the spirit and mentality was still there with his 2 wins. A meagre 1 point per game return from the new manager would have still kept us in with a sniff, but we couldn’t manage that. -

We’ve looked particularly poor in one off odd games for long, long time under every manager under Venkys. -

I’m not sure. The Leeds, Burnleynand Sunderland performances during that spell were better than most of the stuff since VI came in. Also the Travis / Tronstadt axis, which was so key to us early season, was completely lost during that spell for injuries. That was a huge blow. Ismael has had that back although strangely has benches ST for a couple of games. -

@arbitro said that confidence was absolutely waning proved by poor performances and results when Ismael took over. I mentioned 3 from 5 which was the immediate games when Ismael took over. Surely that shows an upsurge in confidence. Then for some reason you mentioned 2 from 11. You’ve not gone further than 5. You’ve just ignored the Lowe games. And even within the Eustace spell, where we were short on wins, he played Leeds, Burnley and Sunderland. None of which were poor performances. -

Tronstadt is excellent for this division. I’ve never seen anyone other than Rev say otherwise. -

Who mentioned Eustace? He said poor results and performances before Ismael arrived. Not true. 3 wins from 5. -

3 wins from 5 before he came in. West Brom was one of the best performances of the season. -

You’ve failed Val. From where you took us over to where we finish you have failed. -

Great performance although I now feel more pissed off that the incompetence of the board room and the owners cost us a play off spot. -
As plenty of teams play each other (e.g Derby play Stoke and hull), it would take a freak set of results for them all to catch Preston. It would mean they would all need to start beating top half sides.

For me at the moment I just don't feel like having the piss taken out of me any more. This could change over the long summer. It's not the pricing personally. I'm lucky enough to be able to afford it. It's not even the bad decisions. It's the lack of transparency and the lies. It's the fact they think they can tell the customers whatever they want to cover up their ineptitude and we will just swallow it and pay the £400+. It's now simply the fact they genuinely don't make any effort to keep me as a customer, they just expect it. And for the first time in a while they can now get stuffed. I didn't renew after relegation in 2012. I said I would only return once Kean was gone. And on the 29th September 2012 I duly bought a season ticket. This time I don't know. Ismael and Waggot could leave tomorrow and they would just rearrange the deck chairs.

That's the club PR saying "Don't want Ismael out otherwise.... " -

I like the optimism lads, but come on. It's gone. We are probably well over 50/1 to win all 4 games ourselves. -
League table on arrival. 9 points from safety. League table now Beat Huddersfield at he weekend to climb out of the relegation zone. You have to say he's done a decent job there so far.

Mcllroy looked emotionally shot waiting for the start of the play off. Whereas Rose, having shot an exceptional final round, was looking cool and calm. You expected him to carry on in the same manner he had played the whole round. So full credit to Rory for not just holding his nerve but pulling out his first birdie of the week on the 18th to win it. Great sporting drama. As others have said, I'd have just enjoyed it more had he beat a yank in the play off and not Rose.

As PhillipL alludes to, the only "interest" around this game is that Millwall and their fans will be up for it as they have a realistic shot of 6th, especially if Coventry didn't win tonight. A dead rubber for us unfortunately. -

Soft. I’ve no problem with the ref giving that if he was consistent , but then I’d love him to answer why Dolan and Walsh didn’t get a yellow card in the first half. “Because it’s early in the game” isn’t a valid reason you prick. -

Don’t know why, but he reminds me of the first zombie you encounter in Resident Evil. That was feasting and leeching on a decaying carcass as well. -

There isn't going to be a "we can get rid of you for free" clause unless it's something drastic like linked to an actual relegation. There might be some period when the pay-off would be reduced, but I'm sure it will still cost money to shift him out. Why would they do this? Waggot is almost at retirement but needed to solve the manager problem before he goes. He really doesn't give a shit if there's any mess when he has gone. Suhail will have signed off on a cheap manager who he feels won't give him a problem or jump ship. Venkys don't care. Rudy's will have been an inexperienced stooge in the managerial process. -
