  1. So if Travis pulls him first he should give a penalty as that occurs before the Alebiosu incident. Regardless Alebiosu should still have been stronger and got a decent connection on it. And the defenders in front should never have let it bounce over their heads. But no it’s not the players fault we’ve lost 4 in 5. It’s those bloody referees every time.
  2. Probably watching Travis pulling their goal scorer for about 5 seconds whilst the ball was in flight.
  3. To be fair Suhail gets far more stick on here than VI, probably because we didn’t expect much from VI based on his record and reputation when we employed him.
  4. We were in many games when we got relegated in 1999. But small margins cost us. We didn’t lose any of the first four games by more than a goal then. It’s rare a team gets relegated that aren’t “in” games unless they are really, really shit. It’s fine margins This season it is individual moments of a lack of quality costing us. Not clearing that long throw at West Brom. De Neve getting skinned and then Tavares delivering a crap corner against Brum. McLaughlin and Kargbo today. I know you’re incredibly blinkered on refs, but the only real one against us I feel is the penalty at West Brom. Everything other major decision I’ve agreed with.
  5. Come on Chaddy, it is 4 losses in 5 and half of the players he mentioned were here last year. How long do we give them before judging them?
  6. Worth remembering Kargbo is 26, not some unpolished kid,
  7. 🐍🐍🐍 It will be just about money. 🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🙄
  8. Maybe. But the referee and linesman don't have freeze frame and his momentum was clearly going into the box. At actual speed I thought penalty. The blame surely lies with the player for allowing the situation then pawing at the striker in panic. Just let him go.
  9. He hardly flies under the radar when you see the transfer fees quoted, but I think he’s an excellent at this level and surprised they’ve kept him for three Championship seasons without someone praising him away.
  10. I presume that the Chelsea / Fulham game is therefore not being shown on that pixelated big screen at the BBE fanzone? Can anyone confirm?
  11. Who the hell thinks Cadamarteri’s dad was an excellent player? Andri Gudjohnsen’s record however is good in its own right.
  12. Of course I realised Leonard was part of the conversation. Rev says it’s unfair that a poster is saying about Leonard being “Clearly not being able to cope with the Championship” as though the posters have witnessed that as fact whilst he has been a Rovers player. Revs argument is you can’t say he clearly isn’t as he hasn’t started that many games. I’ve not really seen anyone saying that about the new signings as they haven’t seen them (clearly not good enough). Just opinions on whether they will be a success based on their track records/ career paths at other clubs. There’s a difference. FWIW I’m not too fussed about offloading him if a replacement is incoming, and I never thought we’d get a mill for him.
  13. Yes. The club sign players. People form an opinion on whether you think they will be good signings (Morishita) or bad (De Neve). Whether they are correct or incorrect will be judged after a period of time after they’ve settled in and played (or not) for the club. Some people weirdly think that players should be perceived as being “good” until proven otherwise. And if people say they aren’t good signings they are ‘writing them off’, like it’s some unfair crime.
  14. Maybe. But at least its ‘exciting’, as if he reproduces it he should be a success. I don’t get that vibe from most of the others.
  15. Leonard is like most of them. If he goes and we bring in a better replacement great. But if we bring in another Telalovic it’s pointless. All depends on who comes in. The signing of Morishita, who looks a level or two above most we have brought in for the last few years, gives me faint hope that somehow we bring in a quality striker. But we should aim for him to be first choice, not some third choice squad replacement.
  16. Celtic have won 3 from 3 and haven’t conceded yet. There’s no domestic turmoil for them. Russel Martin on the other hand ……
  17. Yeah. Like they obviously think there is better entertainment out there pre-game for the blues bar TV’s than Sky Sports.
  18. Having cut costs on things like players travel budgets, ground maintenance and Sky sports in the blues bar, Suhail now takes his financial hatchet to the players wage bill. This despite the current manager saying he wants to keep the players. And people are thinking it’s some kind of cunning footballing change? Looking for a different mentality of player? Bloody hell, half the people we bring in have just been relegated.
  19. Yeah apologies. For some reason when I checked the pre-season odds I looked at Wrexham and not Birmingham. (Newly promoted, hype, yanks etc...). Both West Brom and Wrexham were 7/1 pre-season. The next question is why the hell are Birmingham second favourites? I didnt even consider them pre-season and saw nothing at Ewood to change my mind.
