All this publicity has gotta be good, motivational and all, it's probably the most we've had since we won the Premiership!

Was on a Birmingham Clubbing forum and there was a few deluded Villa fans berating the fact we got Bellamy instead of them.

Y'know, comments like:

Think it's a good signing, one that was definitely needed after last season's attempts at scoring goals. The usual comment now being, if Hughes can keep everyone in check with attitudes and the like, then there is no reason why we can't be challenging fora UEFA Cup spot this coming season. Especially if he can make a couple of more signings, hopefully on par with this one.

Tradition is all fine and good. But sometimes we have to leave behind the traditions and move forward with the times.

A potentially good start for us. We can almost definitely improve upon last season, if we mix all the right ingredients together. Looking forward to the start and a full season under Mark Hughes.

Always thought that to improve yourself as a player you need to be playing against decent opposition, hence his move to us. Obviously not in his case, as he decided he couldn't cut it in the Premiership and sodded off back home again.

There's commitment for you, sheesh! Players like that that don't earn my respect at all. I like players that will give their all for the blue and white of Blackburn right til the very end.

Granted he banged in the goals to keep us up, and for that I'm eternally grateful so all the best for the future for him (just not against us).

Just bringing this up to blame Souness for Steads season. If the nice gentleman had never fallen out with Cole- surely we'd have had a better season out of Stead. I don't know- just blaming Souness for everything seems to make me feel better.

Looking to upgrade myself, and have been perusing the www.ebuyer.co.uk website. Some very good prices on there. May be worth considering.

When I'd heard that he'd gone to NUFC, I was a bit surprised. Thought it'd be Bruce, O'leary, anyone but Souey. But as with some of the post, I think that he'd run his course at the club. Rovers letting them talk to Souey, probably shows that he was close to a sacking. With Parkes in charge, at least he should hold the fort until we get our man. Be interesting to see the names the media put forward as candidates, and who we finally get.
