The telly companies were all there for Kenny Dalglish's first game in charge - we beat Plymouth 5-2 and SG scored a couple of classics. There'll be footage of that somewhere if we can get hold of it.

Anyone in East Lancs who likes a bit of Hendrix simply must try to catch "Are You Experienced?" at the Ossy civic theatre on Friday 23rd Feb. They are a Brum-based tribute act & are the nearest to the real thing you`re ever likely to get. I`ve seen them probably 8 times now in pubs & clubs & they have just signed a deal to play theatres around the country. A truly awesome group to watch!

JW makes the Riverside a flat rate of £10 a match for the whole of next season. All existing ST holders are offered their usual seat at £10x 19 matches, plus a cup game for a sweetener.

Anyone who wants out, gets a seat anywhere else for the same price.

Riverside fills up every week, ST holders happy, ace PR for "go-ahead-Rovers", Premiership matches not "de-valued" as the club maintains it reflects the crappy facilties offered in the Riverside, ground looks good on telly, etc.

Then the refs whistle for offside on Benni woke me up.

Seen Iron Maiden 5 times, Preston 1983 being the 1st time & Donnington 1988 (i think? ) being the last. I decided back in 88 it`d be my last maiden concert. Good to see they`re still gigging tho.

Saw Snow patrol at the G-mex on Thursday. Not as good a gig as at the MEN, but still a decent night. The mighty Elbow were one of the support acts, although i missed the openers & half the elbow set, due to getting stuck in Manchester traffic....which was chaos!

Hardly read anything on this thread (the usual argueing) but just noticed my clematis in my backgarden is starting to bud. Doesn`t normally do that until late March. Also a plant in my front garden has flowered for the 2nd time this year. It`s never done that before!

'knights of Cydonia'...probably THE best ending to a show i`ve seen. The whole of the MEN was absolutely bouncing during the BIG guitar ending bit!
