Back to back wins for Wigan against two mid-to-top half teams in Man City and West Ham. The second game was even more impressive as it was away. Theyll be dangerous on Saturday, but if we keep our concentration we can hurt their defence on the break with Bellamy. It will be difficult. Away draw wouldnt be the worst result...

At least ours didnt get postponed as late as Newcastles had gotten. Nonetheless disappointing as we couldve moved closer towards the top 10 with a home win.

This just got a little tougher with Tugay out of it now. Surely Reid will now start alongside Sav. It might have been Thommo if it was against Sunderland. Bellers should start for sure now. Todd could be back too. Wigan would have played two games during their last 5 days by the time we meet.

It would be a massive victory to lift us onto 27 points at the halfway mark. But I can see us drawing or even losing and that would erase the hard work from last night! Come on Rovers. No Tugay will be a blow, as his passing at home is one of our strengths. Notice how he was closed down big-time in the first half yesterday and couldnt do much, until the second time when he had more time and space and he looked at home with his range of passing. Brilliant and unexpected victory. Boro should have been 2-0 inside the first 15, just like we should have been against Everton, but footballs a fickle game and the difference between winning and losing in England is a thin line. Now, if we dont get the 3 points against Sunderland, all the hard work from this game would have gone to waste. It wont be easy to score against them, as I can see them sitting back and defending.

I think Reid could be on the bench alongside Peter. Reid as back-up central midfielder moreso than winger.

Actually all of the above are back in the squad other than Boateng. Mendieta is 50-50 to start. The others are fit to start. I wouldnt start Peter in a difficult away game such as this. But Hughes has to have something up his sleeve, if he is resting one of his key players in an important fixture so that he can play in a home game against the bottom team. Logic would dictate the opposite.

Well if you recall, Thommo actually played left wing almost the whole season after Duff left. I doubt we will see Bellamy start. Bench at most, especially as we got a game on Wednesday which we MUST win. Bentley behind Kuqi possibly? At work right now, gotta rush home soon to catch the game on TV.

Gallagher always had a good touch at Premier League level. His body didnt look strong enough though. If he strengthens it, I dont see a reason why he cant do a job for us.
