To answer your question about mottos, for the East Lancs at least, it would be "Spectemur agendo", which apparently means something like "let us be known for our acts".

The Accrington Pals were the 11th (service) Battalion, East Lancashire Regiment. They got slaugthered on July 1st, the first day of the Battle of the Somme, when they attacked towards Serre.

I say 8th and I'd be very happy with that.

I can see us losing at Sunderland AND Pompey. As long as we keep winning at home and just take anything we get away, I'm not to worried about where we'll finish yet, top 10 would be very nice even if it'll be disappointing to miss out on Europe.

Well this new patch seems to have caused an astonomical increase in the number of "wonder goals" being scored. Cisse, Speed, Sivok, Xabi Alonso (twice in the same game) and Klasnic have all scored from over 40 yards against me in the last few games.

This has been a problem since the release. I keep conceding "wondergoals" to very moderate or crap players and have always seemed to do so.

Very good performance overall, but I was a little disappointed in seeing us sit back so far already in the 70th minute. Arsenal hadn't even been close to scoring when we played our normal game, but as soon as we started sitting back they looked more dangerous. But ofcourse, to a certain extent they also forced us to.

It was around that time that they moved Fabregas from right midfield into the middle. I'm glad Wenger played him on the right for so long, a far more dangerous player when he's in the middle.

True about our defense krislu but having watched Arsenal away lately, their defense could quite possibly be worse. We need to put pressure on their defense as much as possible and specially on their left back, whoever they play there this time. A good result here is definitely possible but we do need to keep Henry quiet. Maybe kick him around a bit, make him irritated...

It looked like a very nasty fracture, certainly with a lateral deviation below the knee. Don't think it was an open fracture but it would have been extremely painful and very serious. I don't like the fella but you can't wish that sort of thing on anyone. I feel sorry for the guy and I hope he manages to get back to football, but with a fracture like that...who knows.

I've not had any trouble with Man United but have played some insane games against Arsenal. Last season I beat them 4-2 at Ewood and lost 5-4 away. Can't do nothing with Chelsea though, beat them once in the Charity Shield but not in the league yet. I'm four seasons in, won the league cup, FA cup, Charity Shield, UEFA Cup and the Premiership so far.

Not good news regarding Dickov, it looked like a dislocated shoulder to me and with him gone our attack just faded away. Kuqi showed his ineptness again I'm afraid. Not good enough against any sort of decent opposition. This should mean a new striker, a permanent move or a loan. Wouldn't hurt getting Gally back if that is at all possible.

Good first half today and crap second but we got away with it.

That's just the thing, it looks like he does it all the time.

Fair enough, some times it's warrented but other times he gives his teammates an earfull when they really didn't have an option or way out of a corner or whatever.

Sometimes you need to encouragement instead of being told off.
