Currently struggling to get out of the drop zone, although 3 injuries to Benni McCarthy hasn't helped (all 3 being 2 months out).
Benni getting injured is seriously bad...simply because he's the only one on the team capable of scoring. Don't know if anyone else is having similar experiences but the only one scoring goals for me is Benni. Nonda has been a complete waste of space and Roberts couldn't hit a barn door from a yard out even if he had all day. Jeffers scores one or two and Reid might get one every now and again...but he's constantly injured.

Holy crap!
Brave of you to own up to something like that
Where did you get the logos and stuff?
-
How long is Brett out for??
He's out with a hamstring injury I think so it could be anything from days to weeks.
-
I love it the way he goes to the furthest touchline when he knows he's about to be subbed to waste as much time as possible. Then he shakes hands with everyone on the pitch while ambling off!!
It'll be a sad sad day when he's a Rover no more, one of my favourite players of all time.
Pretty much all my non Rovers supporting mates absolutely HATES the fact that he does that and gets away with it. Which to me makes it even better. He really is a true legend for the club.

Sounds like we've been riding our luck for parts of the game with Friedel having to make some very good saves to keep us in it. So 3 - 0 may flatter us a bit but should do our confidence a world of good. Should be all but qualified now too so...result

Are these for the 360? how do i get them onto my xbox if they are? if not then anyone got any links for it?
If you had read the last few posts you would have seen that no, these are for the PS2.
There is no editor on the 360 for some reason so...

We all knew this would happen, just typical Rovers behaviour but even so this is extremely embarrasing. West Ham have been rubbish this season and yet we make them look like world beaters. Our first half was shocking and although we improved in the second you would still be hard pressed to see where the goals would come from. Fair enough we've had injuries but we should have been able to do better than this rubbish.
-
And that's it, they score on a corner.
Rubbish defending AGAIN.
-
Gally on for Mokoena..
-
Wohoo! We just had a shot on target! Only took 53 minutes...
-
Bad news, Gray is coming out for the second half...
-
We need a serious half time teamtalk from the manager here and I hope we're able to hold on until halftime without conceding again. We're not creating anything at all, our defending is uninspired and our passing is bloody awful. We keep giving it away and letting them put pressure on us.
We are really missing Sav here.
-
It gets worse...Jason Roberts having to go off injured and it looks like it's either the ankle or the metatharsal bone...Jeffers on.
-
Was just about to post that it had been a scrappy first twenty minutes with West Ham having the better of it...then they went and scored.
Obviously had to be Sheringham...
We've been poor so far. A shot at goal would be nice.
Also the dude doing the commentating here is really, really, really annoying.

Yep, this game has all the hallmarks of a classic Rovers cock up.
We'll lose, probably in spectacular fashion.
4 - 1 Hammers...

What would be the point in selling your PS2 in march? A seconded hand PS2 wouldnt fetch anything then and you can quote me on that in march
Won't fetch too much now either come to think of it.
-
I'll happily do it if it is a tournament on the 360.
Yeah me too.

I assume later copies will be produced with these patches built in, or the bugs sorted out. Would that sort of thing happen? Or will SI produce the exactly the same game, and expect the customer to download the patches themselves?
No, you will have to patch it.
Patches are a common feature for PC games and should be applied when released, whatever game it is.
I agree with BuckyRover though, there is nothing wrong with the game as it is now. It's stable and I have not seen any obvious bug or issues. The match engine is fine. Sure, it may need balancing as far as injuries are concerned but this is a minor problem at the moment.
Compared to earlier versions of FM, this one is very good straight out of the box.

If we can't put it away from two spot kicks, it's just one of those days where nothing is going for us. It was all us and yet they come away with the three points. That's football I guess...

I've had mixed experience with injuries so far. I've started a few games with different clubs just to mess around with stuff and not seen to many injuries. But then I started my Rovers save game and it's been bad. I'm constantly getting players coming off during games. I've had three or four strained ankles during the first two months of the season, each one being out for four weeks. I've had six players out injured at any one time during the first two and a half months of the season. I seem to remember though that this was an issue on FM05 or 06 too, until they patched the game.
Playing wise its hard but so far I've been playing well and not getting results. I played City off the park in my first game of the season and lost 1-0...wasted so many chances I couldn't believe it. The defence tends to mess up and that'll cost me while up front so far I've only got Benni to score and even so he still wastes absolute sitters every game.

You've got it a week early?
How?
-
Specially since FM07 is vastly superiour to FM05.
-
I would suggest a new console
But seriously, I see no reason to bother with Scarface. I've have yet to read any redeeming reviews. Superman Returns looks like a laugh and may be worth a look.

Possibly Somerset, I just noticed Ooijer standing in front of Bellamy, he wasn't marking anyone. But maybe Sparky has a few players with zonal marking?
Wakefield: No. Someone is to blame, in this case I think Ooijer might be the one. It's got nothing to do with him being a scapegoat.
No that was Emerton.
Ooijer was in there duking it out with the big guys.

Does anyone know how to get your players to defend at all? I mean seriously, defending anything would be nice. I had a stint on the game last night and I have never seen as poor defending as that and nothing I did tactically had any impact. Defending set pieces is particularly impossible.
