What an odd thing to say. Did you think I was pretending that was an actual quote? I didn't 'make it up to suit my opinion', I made it up as a bit of a joke and to add emphasis. The entire thing was opinion, I thought that was a bit bleeding obvious to be honest. I'm amazed I've had to explain any of this.
Sorry brucieboy I thought it was an actual quote.
Thought you was telling an actual story to have a dig at the manager. My bad.
I'm glad it was just made up to add emphasis to something that didn't happen.

It wouldn't do us much good if some club was willing to pay 15 million for Nyambe. There's no way they would start with that bid, having seen us sell the likes of O'Connell, Cairney and Raya for far less than we should. They would just enter a bid of say 5 million and good ole Tony would say 'Yeh that matches what I think he is worth, and it must be their final offer, let's
Your entitled to your opinion but you made up the last sentence to suite your opinion.

C'mn, the recruitment hasn't been shambolic? You joking?
Same number of points as last season at this time, where's the improvement?
We need a new manager, simple as that, if we are ever to get promotion.
Anyway, I'll finish on that. You are clearly a"glass half-full" kind of guy. I'm definitely not.
"A door closes, another one shuts" is my philosophy.
And "every silver lining has a cloud".
I like to think that's closer to the average Rovers supporter than you are!
Yep. Most rovers fans I know don't go to games but think they know what's best for the club.
Some fans need to remember where we were when Tony mowbray took over this club.
I'm pleased that younger lads are getting bloodied in slowly. In touching distance of the play offs. Which i don't think we will achieve. But that's part of the fun isn't it. I genuinely cant believe how negative some fans are

We are a million miles away from where we need to be as a club.
No efforts, or not enough efforts, are being made to grow the long-term sustainability of the club - i.e. new fans, let alone demographic challenges - everything is short term.
You cant make fans go. No amount of creative ideas can. In certain conditions it may help. I reckon if the ticket price last night was 0 there wouldn't of been over 15k

No win in five. String of lacklustre performances. People aren’t stupid. They know this is an inconsistent team prone to the occasional burst of good form before the inevitable drop off. That win at Wednesday changed nowt.
Correct. You can win lose or draw football games consistently

Tosin stays fit then we have a chance of making the play offs. So cool and composed. Draws attention from the forwards then plays accurate hard balls into the feet of our central mid/attackers. Quick one twos or a half turn and the ball out to the wingers is always on. Was superb to watch at Wednesday last week and a very good performance tonight. Thought bell was very good as well for the 2nd game in a row. Very happy with things at the moment

You both know more than me on this. I just dont understand how there could be almost 30,000 at the Oxford game and then 11-14 thousand regulars. Are they really fans? Like would they attend every week in the premiership. I'm not sure, but as I said,ye certainly know more than me about this.
I come down down for it alone. Was 8 of us in total. 5 man u fans. Thev3 kids had man u tops on. My brother who had never been to a game before and 2 blackburn fans.
I Was sat in darwen lower and seen a pal from school who supports liverpool with his son high fiving the mascot.
There will be plenty on here with similiar experiences.

Really good following especially after the last 2 home games.
Travelled down for both and couldn't face another game like them. Piss poor. Hoping for a hungry bristol city away performance.

Nobody expected us to get rid of Allardyce and appoint Kean.
Removing Allardyce wasn't the problem - the football was dire.
Yes I know it was dire. But it was top ten guaranteed dire.
The problem was we thought we was a big club.
We 're fans. We shouldn't expect anything. We have no knowledge on behind the scene business on our club.
My point I'm trying to make is be careful what you wish for. I've seen nothing but improvement since TM has taken over.

im`e hoping it`s a case at the end of the season where someone in the hierarchy says "thanks for your efforts tony, you`ve done a fine job rebuilding the team and solidifying what was a squad heading nowhere, but you`ve gone as far as you possibly can,we are now looking for someone who can take us to a higher level" no disrespect to mowbray,he`s a nice fellow, was a fantastic defender but he`s reached his plateau of achievement,we cannot go any higher under his administration,i doubt this will happen but inconsistent team selections, negative tactics at home and a poor transfer policy are the hallmarks of the mowbray regime,we need a fresh start,it`s all to comfortable for some of our players
Remember similiar posts and friends saying that before we got rid of big Sam.
Would you still be of that opinion if Danny Grahams header went it.
Personally think Mowbrays signing have been good but if Gallagher and brereton dont improve then it will be poor overall.

Depends what you've grown up with i suppose, a lot will see it as just that, Greater Manchester for that's its name for going on 50 years.
City for all their money and changes over the last few years still have a red rose on it

Is the Huddersfield tickets sold out. Can't see them on the site.
What was our allocation

Just home now. Quick question. Was that a standard performance by Armstrong.
Thought he Was absolutely shocking In every aspect of his play

Read a good few online over the last few days complain that there is an additional charge on the £10 if the ticket is bought today and gave that as the reason they wouldn't be going
Not true!
It's like some just have a default excuse even when presented with reality (the official twitter account tweeted that there isn't a charge!)
Tbh I dont listen to excuses not to attend. It's usually financial with my pals but then the club eradicates that. This scenario will be It's cold wet. Its Monday night. It's on sky. Charging an extra money on the day for walks on. Close to Xmas. More chance of winning the lottery than ppl attending.
Absolute tripe. Go or don't. But just say you can't be that bothered as over the years you have lost interest.

I think 16k to 18k is so poor.
Could take yourself. Your kid and his 29 classroom for 40 quid.
I despair sometimes with our fans. I'm hoping there is a good amount gonna buy late or walk on cause at these prices and in our form I can't imagine another club selling so pooly.

We’re proud to be. An example why we still are is Our dad spent 20 years serving the army and for the country like our grandad did in WW2. The way rangers celebrate any veteran each year is something truly class and not matched by any British team.
I know your joking tho! @sabino
Went on the pitch at ibrox against hearts in 2009. After herrick 9. Lost members of 45 commandos team thru injury/death. Contacted rangers and they couldn't do more
Got shown round the training ground the day before. Free bar all day and night of the game. Fans stayed in there seats at half time to applaud. Was unbelievable to be honest.
With my family being celtic they said they would be surprised if they would let us wear our green lids on the pitch. Lol. In fact most of the lads were celtic tbh. They was blown away. One of the boys was a hearts fan who tackled a hearts player and did keep ups in front of the hearts fans to then reveal his hearts top. A paper up here ran with the story commando jambo.
Long story and I apologise but good good memories.

I’m taking my two brothers as it’s always been an Xmas tradition to watch the rovers. Last few years they’ve kept away but they’re looking forward to this. One is finishing work and coming from Glasgow the other from York to this game!
If we can cut son e-ticket prices or do some deals the next month through January and cheer the lads on and keep in touch with the top six we’ve a chance and you never know venkys might turn back hot and go for it.
in reality so much riding on Monday’s game for all of us. I’m excited I’m nervous but can’t wait!
I'm coming down from dunfermline with 2 jocks who have never been to an English game. Hopefully they enjoy it

Gutted it's on a Monday but finished work now so will travel down for it. Lovely prices so can take my nephews too. Haven't been as confident of a win since Charlton and luton. Can't slip up this time surely.
Great time to be a rover

Its not game time that makes Brereton's first touch so bad.
And your answer to that is bring in Rhodes. A player who scored goals but divided opinions when here.
TM thinks he has bought potential. I can't really see it if I'm honest. BB doesn't seem to have a picture in his head before he received the ball. Thinks to much so Misses chances to shoot never mind score. Not quick. Doesn't battle. No skill. Can't head etc
But I'm willing to give the young lad a run in the side and see if he can slowly improve.
-
Loved Rhodes when he was here. Wouldn't take him back. Must be on a fortune wage wise. He hasn't played much in years. Never mind tonight's game. Must be reasons for this.
Brerton needs game time as does Gallagher in preparation for graham retiring.
-
Delighted with the effort. Superb application from players who haven't been playing to much.
Was gonna say lovely banks of four. Following runners then instantly we didn't and should be 1v1
Brerton off Armstrong on

Some of the comments on here. We are coming to Swansea on the back of 4 wins and at this moment drawing to Swansea away from home. 4 points off 3rd. People need to get a grip.
It's absolutely rediculas isn't it.
Over reaction one way then the other depending on a result.

I don't know what he's been booked for - genuinely. He's shielded the ball - there's no stamp. It's not even a foul.
I'm on a break at work. No idea either.
But my point still stands. If he hasn't done anything how can it be TM fault. If he fouled someone he's a professional and should toe the line
-
Let's hope we never get 4 players booked in a game. Will be playing with 10 men.
Can only imagine the outrage if dack had been taken off. He's a professional. 100% his own fault not TM
