I usually avoid social media(with the exception of a few forums, this one included), but recently I’ve found myself on Twitter, Facebook and the LET website. In the last few days I’ve seen some absolutely baffling views expressed by some of our supporters/fans. I’ve started screenshotting some of them, so I thought I’d create a topic where we can document and marvel at the stupidity, naivety and Ignorance.
Maybe this can be used constructively to educate and guide them?
I’ll start with this I found on Twitter today.
Also some I found at the weekend on the LET, wow the comments section on there is truly something!
I am so pleased you’ve highlighted this ‘lh’ chap from Twitter. My God, the plonker is from a different universe. I read through some of his tweet last night and nearly lobbed my phone out of the window. ‘Fantastic owners, Waggott is good at his job’ etc.
Must be fabulous to live in his head.

No chance we keep a clean sheet. Or if we’re honest, actually win!

the kind of people who will be still be defending venkys when we are in the bottom half of league one,"we can`t compete with the likes of bolton, peterborough and barnsley" will be the staple phrase, utter muppets,it`s like stating the fire won`t reach us when the building is ablaze
Yeah, we are up against it, that’s for sure. Chap called ‘Roverseas’ with a big Rovers following on Twitter did a poll earlier asking who is at fault for the last 7 days and therefore should leave: Waggott, GB or JDT. I responded saying where on earth are Venky’s and he said ‘well they’re not going anywhere so what’s the point.’ Or words to that effect.
Real head in the sand approach being adopted by many which really isn’t helping the cause (not to mention the aforementioned idiots).

Anyone else couldn't give a shit what happened?
They have all got to go... Venky's, Waggott, Suhail... the lot.
Not according to a tonne of ‘em I’ve seen on Twitter tonight. There is A LOT out in force defending Venky’s.
’Didn’t hear from any of them (the fans) last season when things were good.’ ‘£5m for Hyam and Szmodics last season alone’ ‘they sold the training ground just to stop us from going into admin’.
Just a few of the comments I’ve seen tonight.

Football matches just seem a distraction to the huge elephant in the room right now. That's where all of our focus should be going - tipping those bastards over the edge.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I think we need the McGuire decision to go against us given the momentum that is building behind our ownership. Of course I know how desperate we are for a striker, and I feel incredibly bad that our once proud club has let down yet another player. But you just know if this goes in our favour that outside of this forum, and fans with half a brain cell, that Venky's will be yesterday's problem once again.

Heard the same just now - resignation is Sylvester before he was pushed.
I mean, in no way should he have kept his job after last year, but if so, this is their fall guy. Surely Broughton cannot sit through another post window interview and keep his integrity.

That’s one down and two more to go.
Come on Suhail and Maggott, you know it’s the right thing to do.
Eh? There’s at least three fuckers in India who need to go the most.

I’d imagine the appeal / hearingwill go against us. Two years on the trot - they’ll probably laugh it away.

Did JDT or the club even know about the McGuire issue by Friday lunchtime when he was due to do his pre match presser? I’d imagine, like a lot of us on this forum (not the Twitter or Facebook idiots) that he was just fuming that we’d made a club record sale and brought in a few more kids on loan and a couple of old boys on short term punts.

Absolutely not, I'm of the same opinion.
110%. Lighting doesn’t strike twice in the same place.
I would say the EFL or similar needs to intervene here but who am I kidding.
Somehow, we simply must rid ourselves of those see you next Tuesdays in India. There is no other way forward.

Dunc probably took one look today at us and is praying that lightning has struck twice so he can get on the first plane out of here.

I think we’re goosed. Where on earth is our next win coming from? 1 win in 11. 0 in 8. That run in too.
It’s happening ladies and gents.

Thought this thread would be busier. Surely now is the time to turn the screw?

Stoke at home next week is our chance to make the message loud and clear to these fuckers that they must get out of our once proud club.

Sorry mods for the swearing but this is fucking, and I mean fucking, shambolic.

I may as well keep repeating myself:
We’re going down aren’t we?

Just realised if we don’t win today it’ll be:
0 wins in 8 league games
1 win in 11 league games
I mean, Jesus Christ.

We could have a triple whammy today I reckon: a Rovers loss, McGuire deal falling through and JDT walking.

Us ballsing up another piece of important paperwork on deadline day would be the most rovers thing ever under this lot. When it rains.

If Venkys continue digging their heels in then we can only hope that the hearings continue to go badly (for Venkys). We won't have another Wharton to sell come the summer. It'll be c. £8m for Szmodics at best I reckon (what is he, 29?). Carter £5m? What then?
You'd like to think the penny could finally be dropping for them, but I appreciate we've all said this for many years.
