Nowhere obvious to put this.
I know 99% of us will be firmly in agreement!!

Eventually we'll run out of £20M players though. In fact we already have! What next?
Indeed. Szmodics for what, £10m max given his age. Then we’re pretty much out.

Given Dacks posted a fair few photos of TM on Instagram, I can’t imagine it’s just something minor.
Get well soon, Tony.

Yep, he was.
Funny story, I originally hide this image when it was posted here, but it has since been posted elsewhere so I’m happy to upload it now. This was sent to me as a tip by a friend and was taken by the staff at the hotel, who thought it was the ‘new manager meeting the players’. Turns out it was the supporters meeting and I was actually in the meeting!
Ryan seemed nice enough, Dom Hyam and Sam Gallagher were certainly most engaged. Although I did enjoy Aynsley Pears asking our CEO why we don’t just reduce the cost of tickets if they’re unaffordable.
Is this your way of saying that Sammie wanted to be anywhere else but at that meeting?! His body language certainly looks like it.
I mean, we’ll let him off given he’s our only decent player now.

Fleck out for a couple of weeks; JRC for a month.
As good a player as the latter is, we simply cannot rely on him as he's made of glass.

It’s quite sad really, whenever we get into a good position, I never really feel like I can enjoy it, as I know what these lot are like. If there was a title for an ability to crush my spirit, they’d be world champions.
Indeed.
Just said to a mate, why is it that the opposition can regularly come back against us, but not the other way round? Same with the oppositions ability to score later winners and equalisers.
So bloody miserable supporting us.

Well I predicted we’d get thumped, so 2-2 is at least something.
We have the spine of a jellyfish, mind.

As an aside, without looking at the stats, I’d imagine we’ve lost far more games against local opposition than we’ve won under Venky’s and sadly, I imagine Saturday will be more of the same…
100%. Even when I posted it in the heat of the moment post-Brum, I still genuinely feel this is the most nailed on defeat I can remember in my 30 years of supporting Rovers.
Zero chance we win this, or even put up a good fight IMO.*
*Goes without saying that I hope I’m wrong.

As a Rovers fan of 30+ years I don’t think I’ve ever been more confident of correctly predicting the outcome of our next match as I am for this coming Saturday.
If we don’t lose by at least 2 clear goals against that lot then I’ll be gobsmacked.

Chrisene looks awful
As do every single one of our loan signings. I refuse to believe we don’t have better in the under 23s.
Gilsenen looks like Salah compared to Moran. That kid is absolutely shite.

Telalovic should have nicked that at the death.
Fella could play til next Christmas and not score.
Extremely concerning night considering this is Eustace’s first proper game in charge. If the lads can’t get up for that, then when the hell can they?

Has there ever been a worse batch if loan signings in 1 season
Absolutely shambolic recruitment from Broughton. How can not one of them be half decent?!

The Liverpool lad tops it. He can’t even make our bench!!

Just pisses me off that Venkys couldn’t wait to sell him.
100%. Summer was the time to sell for any normal functioning football club.
Felt numb watching him perform well last night. He should still be in a Rovers shirt.

Huge shame we couldn’t get him a league one loan given we just never use him. Half a season there would have done him the world of good.

Will it be GB or Waggot introducing him in the media?
If GB is no where we can safely assume he has left.
Well connected fan on Twitter says he's gone.

I think worse is to come. I don't see the investigation into them being over quickly, they have already found 1 issue so the Indian authorities will go through everything and Modi will use it to show he is cracking down on billionaires.
I sense the budget being cut to around £8-10m in the summer with the sale or release of any player on more than £5k a week. With support from Venky's going down to £3m if we are lucky. So similar to the trust's support all those years ago.
I also expect a 25% increase in season tickets with Waggot saying we can't expect cash from the owners all the time and now is time for us to help them out.
I wouldn't be surprised if MK Dons have a better budget than us in League 2 by the time the end of the summer arrives.
In your meeting Glenn and Josh, were there any comments from Waggot on how bad it could get or was he overly optimistic for the future.
Exciting times to look forward to then.

new manager bounce, we might just win
I highly suspect we won't have one in time to take charge. My prediction is Eustace will finally be announced but it'll be Lowe/Johnson.
We're losing. No two ways about it.

I would love JDT to rock up to today's pre match presser. Absolute banter club.
I would say I'm surprised but in reality none of us are.
24 hours away from a huge fixture and JDT is just casually strolling round the training centre saying his goodbyes, with Eustace not yet on board. Who is doing tactics?! David Lowe?! Fuck me.
We are an absolute circus.
Laying a Mercer on us losing tomorrow - nothing is more certain.

If this massive delay in announcing JDTs departure isn’t giving him red flags then I don’t know what will. Welcome to the mad house (if you ever arrive).

Apologies if it’s already been posted but Myers reckons we’re still sorting out the paperwork for JDT. You couldn’t make it up.

JDT when Leo approaches him about a National call up before he leaves Brockhall for the last time…

Be announced later most likely after they have shot the video of Eustace meeting the players then can be released straight away after the JDT announcement.
Stop people talking about JDTs departure and the disgraceful events and woeful ownerships and talking about the new dawn under our new manager John Eustace
You are probably right in what you say but it's still quite frankly ridiculous though that a Mirror journo has announced that JDT has left by quote, "mutual consent", yet nothing from the club.
His full article: "JDT's Blackburn exit has been confirmed": https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/breaking-blackburn-jon-dahl-tomasson-32071220. By who?!

Jon Dahl Tomasson’s exit from Blackburn complete, clearing the way for John Eustace to take over. Club say Tomasson has left by “mutual consent”, but the Dane quit because he was budget was repeatedly cut. #Rovers
Yet nothing official from the club. Can they even be arsed to make a statement? Probably not?
"Oh JDT? Yeah he left by mutual consent. Next"
We are going up (the optimism thread)

Given he’s been promoted several times since, he’s very well placed to assess what’s needed to get out of this division too. Galling that it didn’t happen.
