  1. The cost cutting in the summer is costing us. You cannot play in the championship with the squad we have.

Telalovic must be dreadful he can’t get a game even though we’ve got strikers who are allergic to goals.

Not one player on our bench could come on and improve our team. Massive difference compared to other teams!

    Very, very disappointing.

    No surprises for me.

Many of us have suspected there is a fragility about Rovers that hasn't been addressed in the window.  The window was immeasurably underwhelming.

Two areas stood out out for me yesterday.

Firstly, IMO, Pears at his best is extremely average, at his worse he's a feckin nightmare.  I have repeatedly expressed my view that he is a keeper who will only get us out of the Championship one way and that's through relegation.  He will cost of a minimum 15/20 points a season.  His tenure as our number one is indefensible and Leopold MUST be our goalie going forward.

Secondly, we struggle to score goals.  Gallagher is not the answer and never has been. , Ennis seems like a sick note whilst Leonard is not yet ready to play as sole striker.  Semir may prove to be a gem but ~I am not holding my breath - to me, he's the type of signing you make IN ADDITION to your new main man.

Even more convinced JDT will now p1ss off at the first opportunity.  We really have fecked him about.

A beautiful September Sunday morning tempered by a huge depressive cloud hovering over Rovers that seemingly simply will not go away.

Totally agree with this. Semir cannot be brought in as your main striker. He hasn’t done it at this level and it is unfair to burden him with that.

GB knew he had to get a striker and I think Semir is a bit of a desperation signing. I’m not writing him off and hope he bangs 20 goals in but we are relying on the lad to come in from the German lower leagues and bang a load of goals.

The fact Buckley went and not replaced has really irked JDT and rightly so. That is on par with Januarys mess.

Think I know who you mean.

I returned something around Christmas time and he looked at me in absolute disgust asking what was wrong with the item. I said "it doesn't fit, and you don't have the size smaller in stock is that a problem?" He then proceeded to put the refund through while looking like I had robbed his house or something.

It 100% will be because the rest of the staff are superb usually. I went to pick up a shirt I’d ordered online (for pick up from the store) and he proceeded to tell me I’d have to return as they were to busy to sort it out.

I had to turn male Karen and asked for the manager. The manager sorted the issue on 30 seconds.

The club have said, several times, that they air freight in an initial batch of shirts to sell on launch day. They then put shirts on pre order, with the remaining stock expected to arrive in time for the wba match ie the start of the season.

That doesn’t explain why! It’s a stupid way of doing it. Order more…..sell more!

  5. Been to the Roverstore today to pick up my Girona tickets. I have to say the shop it absolutely shite! 90% tat and have zero replica shirts! A week off the start of the season and they’ve sold out of home and away shirts……both on the day of release? Is this not questioned?

Desperate for money and it’s impossible to spend anything in the shop!! On a side note there’s a young lad who works in there and his attitude is absolutely atrocious. Cocky little chav!

i don`t understand the signing tbh,we don`t need him,he`s not come here to sit on the bench and he`s going to be on big wages,he`s also going to keep phillips or carter out of the starting line up,unless one of them is getting sold

We have Carter and Phillips who are young. I think we will look to move S. Wharton on he has been very poor for the past 12 months. Made mistakes most games. Looked poor Vs Stanley.

Batth could be a good experienced option while moving Wharton on for £1m/£1.5m.

Fortunately the closed season hasn’t even started yet.

(Feel free to drag up this post when we still only have those four in a couple of months time 🫣)

Oh I know, I’m not saying we should have made all our signings……I mean we have our work cut out and I don’t have much faith in Broughton after Januarys debacle.

he failed to get one striker in, we need 3! 🙈

I think Broughton tried to do business in the January transfer window, he was just hamstrung by inept Senior Management (the Club Secretary or the CEO, take your pick) and his own naivety. Hopefully he learns from it as he's very inexperienced at the new role.

It would be very refreshing if they did come out and say lesson have been learnt and that they let JDT down. Then promise to make amends in the summer.

Broughton is all pump no poo. I have no doubt we’d be looking forward to the play offs had O’Brien and a striker been added to our squad.  That transfer window really was embarrassing.

season = C    Must learn and do better.

  9. I agree, there should be more excitement for tomorrow but the recent weeks have been frustrating and to me the players haven’t shown enough to prove they really want it! JDT hasn’t really looked too bothered. The Preston and Coventry games were 2 games where we should have been more professional and seen the games out.

  10. I’ve bought 2 today for me and my daughter. I work shifts so won’t be able to attend all the games but there is a better vibe around the club at the minute.

its essential we kick on from this season and back JDT. We need to make some strong signings, not just players who make up the numbers. I don’t believe WBA, Norwich and Watford will be so poor next season and you add those to 3 big teams coming down.

Hirst look a good choice given his form the previous season and again he is the main striker for Ipswich who just got Promoted.

I never said total faith anyway in my post did I but I said I still had the same amount of faith in GB to deliver what we need this summer regardless of the past experiences.

The blame shouldn't be aimed at Broughton but the admin department

    down to personal opinion.

I don't agree that GB failed with Undav as it was out of control. Problems with loan deals.

even on deadline day we wanted a striker but who we tried to sign I don't know

I can’t believe you you see GB as innocent in all this. I’d go as far to say he has let JDT down and failed miserably with his first task.

He has tied some of the young lads down to contracts but let’s be realistic that is a pretty standard thing……Waggotts incompetence in the past shouldn’t make us think it’s not a common practice!
