There's one good outcome if we don't make the playoffs. The Dingles are doomed so we can look forward to those two local derbies! Better still if we make the playoffs and go up and they come down ( as they will) but I think that's a pipe dream after today

Mowbray doesn't have the bottle.
It's not Mowbray who doesn't have the bottle it's the numpties on the pitch!!

If Mowbray stays he will bring in 6 strikers and a goalkeeper. And those 6 strikers will cover the above positions.

There's one standout candidate but Venkys don't do those.
And who is that?

The only positive from today game was I did enjoyed listening to Rovers legend Simon Garner on Radio Lancs where he was commentating with Andy Bayes on the game. Spoke alot of sense.
They were very damning of the way Rovers played. I think Simon was particularly scathing

C'mon Gav, that miss is the definition of laughable.
6 yards out, with the keeper out the nets, and you not only miss the ball, but fall on your arse. 🤦♂️
He wasn't 2 yards out!!

Shake your own nut then ask who signed him and who puts so much faith in him despite shoving him in a different position every game.
He is what he is and has never been any different so to expect anything better is deluded.
So I'm deluded? You seem to think he is sh1t which is my view so where do we differ?

That's what you get with youth and players in general in this league, inconsistency. Just not all at once but...
Happens every single season here though despite the personnel and system so why do you think that is ?
End of the day we are a naive young side who went on a fabulous run after being badly exposed. Since one important player got injured we've been being guided back to midtable comfort by the equally naive inconsistent yet very experienced manager.
Just facts but i don't want everyone jumping on Gallagher, look higher up the food chain that's where responsibility lies. Not that any will ever be acknowledged.
Vis your last paragraph you need to shake your head. Gallagher is total sh1t. £5M to buy and a contract extension recently? He is patron of the Jason Roberts School of Finishing

I don't know much about venus tbh, with Johnson i was just thinking more along the lines of him knowing our younger players very well having managed some at under 23 etc... And also having an ex rover in the dugout always gives fans a little boost initially.
But honestly I'd have pretty much anyone in the dugout other than fkin Mowbray.
A change of Manager isn't going to happen before the end of the season and probably not then. He will silkily talk his way into a contract extension assuming of course that he wants to manage a squad without the likes of Lenihan, Rothwell, Nyambe, Khadra, Van Hecke and Brereton

Desperately disappointing result today but I'm not at all surprised. We punched well above our weight in that amazing run and we are now having to face reality again. All that said, the sides with games in hand don't have an easy ride. They either have to play each other and/or Fulham and Bournemouth. So it's still all to play for (it's the hope that kills you!)

Good results overall tonight for Rovers

Think TM should have started with Buckley, Gallagher and Dack. Be aggressive, take the lead then make the changes

For once recently I'm optimistic. 2 nil Rovers

What sort of question is that? It's obvious! Sutton

It's time now. Sad to say it but the dressing room needs a new voice. We still have a chance of the playoffs but it's clear that won't happen as things stand. His contract ends in the summer so it's not a huge financial issue, the players heads are down so we don't risk knocking their confidence, I don't think there's a downside.
You can dream but it's not going to happen. In fact he'll get a new contract at the end of the season

In a nutshell none of them! There you go

iv`e been a defender of gallagher and been critical of mowbrays strange use of him,but last night he was shocking and it`s kind of changed my opinion,he`s not good enough, can`t hold the ball up, and he does`nt at all play his size,no matter how much coaching you give him,he is`nt going to get any better at his age, maybe a new manager next season will suss him out and move him on
Gallagher doesn't have basic footballing skills certainly not at Championship level. You can't coach this stuff; it's either there or its not. And in his case it is not. How we paid £5M for him and recently gave him a contract extension is beyond me. In his first spell at Rovers he wasn't impressive and isn't now. I feel embarrassed watching him much of the time. His touch is awful, he bottles out of tackles, given his height he is woeful at winning headers and his positional sense is non existent. There will be those who disagree with this analysis but I can't find an ounce of positivity about him

The misses from Buckley, Gallagher and Leninhan today was diabolical.....and it cost us three points...when will we learn?
Rankin Costello missed the easiest chance! Did you miss that?

How the hell we extended Gallagher's contract is beyond me. He has lost every attempt to win a header, has no first touch whatever and missed a good chance late in the first half. He is total sh1t
