Good analysis and the numbers really do tell their own story. Out of a possible 66 points thus far we have garnered only 24 points. And to think Ewood used to hold some fear for visiting teams.

Cheer up, with the lack of investment by the owners into the stadium, I predict people will be terrified coming to Ewood Park in another few years,

It’s a metaphor. Of course only those interested will have seen it but what happened to fair minded Rovers fans giving the guy some support. He’ll be playing in the last two games so giving him both barrels isn’t going to help. We move on from the Wednesday fiasco.

Agreed mate. Lets move on, another fiasco is just round the corner.

i agreed with this. Pears should have taken his chance and try to catch the ball after the miskick (since it was unintentional). Probably that's what the ref came over and spoke to him about. "You could have caught the ball and it will be okay, son".

I'd say he came over to say "what the fuck is wrong with you?, you looked like a clown running across a minefield"

IMO, Pears will cost us at least 10 goals a season and countless points.

Sadly, the shambolics of Leo make Pears look good in the eyes of the naive and gullible.

I can't remember anyone on here all season saying Pears is a good keeper, just that he is leagues better than Leo. You have made a bit of a starwman argument there.

I read something on twitter about what price should Szmodics be worth. I find it imo nonsense he should go for less than 20mill. People arguing his age keeps his tag down to 10-15 mill. I'm sorry but Would Harry Kane be going for 10-15 mill because of his age? not a chance! your buying goals, your buying a player in the form of his life, your buying a player at the complete finished package of his overall game. Whether its premier league or championship, prem clubs could argue hes unproven, fine dont buy him, but hes our best asset. Championship clubs on the other hand will want him to get them promoted, that comes at a price, hes the leagues top scorer, you pay full whack for that in the championship, no matter the age, if hes bought buy a promoting chasing championship team your buying a player at his pinnacle, your buying him chasing the dream of the promisland, you pay top end simple, you dont get him cheap because we are little old blackburn who got their pants pulled down on wharton to palace, or because we are near the bottom of the league, or because hes going to be 29 this year. Give your heads a wobble, stand firm, give us the 20mill minimum because we have one of the best attacking players in this division, and we aint replacing him for any amount of money we will get given. We also need a total rebuild of our front line, so we need the dosh. We simply have to be firm. I will personally be fuming if we sell for less than 20mill. If clubs really want him, they will pay it.

Clubs will be looking to offer 7-8m. Rovers will probably hold out for 10m A normal club might squeeze 12-15m.

Now if we only get 7m that means we will only get £150k to spend replacing him, However if we hit the jackpot and someone comes in at 15m, then I reckon the taps will be opened and GB will get £150k to pick up the best Conference striker whose contract has expired.

Short answer is, if he is sold I don't care what we get for him it makes no difference.

  6. I think its great news, but lets be realistic he is not going to be able to play in a two. I suggest we get Travis back from loan and him and Tronstat can do the running, and tackling, Tugay can do the smoking, scoring and getting Sammy to break Alan Shearer's goals in a season record.

I vaguely remember Barry Fry going on about us owing them a fair wedge for Sammy if we got promoted to the Premier League. Imagine there will be similar for other newly signed players like Hyam etc.

It won't matter as we will never get there!

We have probably signed up to 60% share of any profit made on his sale too.

With a +16 swing in goal difference than we currently have 🤯

Probably points to how weak the squad has been over the season, especially with 5 subs other teams are replacing like for like and we are bringing on 15 year olds who can't even wear the kit sponsors.

I’ve got to admit I’m not a fan. He misses too many chances and he misses more game than a physical giant should. Fair play to him yesterday, coming off his sick bed to play his usual 60, 65 minutes. I had to laugh when the miss control got him past the Sunderland defender for the goal. I think for the wages he’s reputedly to be on we could do better. I see the Sunderland fans are complaining that he roughed their players up - about bloody time is my immediate thought.

He’s up against his old club that let him go on Saturday. Let’s see if he can make them regret letting him go.

The problem is if Gally left for 2m we wouldn't see much more than 200k of transfer fee and we would not be paying anything like the 16k a week to his replacement.

He might be over paid, but he is better than a 100k striker from the Bulgarian 3rd division  getting 1k per week. Who we would end up as his replacement.

The only winners would be the owners who would be writing a smaller cheque, assuming they ever get back to funding us.
