Dreadful game. Looks what it is, two relegation candidates with little or no plan.

As we've seen with things like Brexit, COVID, Trump etc. online disinformation campaigns can be very effective.
The pro venkys one is pretty basic, it just appeals to the reptile brain element of the fan base.
You're the real fans, it's the 'negative' fans who complain or don't go to matches who are the problem.
Everything that the 'negative' fans say is wrong, the owners are brilliant it's not their fault.
Pretty basic cult indoctrination really. For those of us who have the ability to form a thought for ourselves it is beyond infuriating.
Not looking for an argument, but do you think the Venkys are arsed spending money on a social media campaign to improve Rovers fans opinions of them?
I don't think they give a shit one way or the other. I suspect this club get the absolute minimum of attention that they can possible spend. I think the fans get no thought what so ever.

JDT out still guys? From 10 mins ago
I wasnt calling for his head earlier, nor am I willing to proclaim him the second coming because we have managed to drag ourselves back into a game against a glorified pub team.

Given the sums involved I wouldn’t think they’d want to risk him even in an emergency.
Sub him on in the last 3 minutes to get a goodbye?

However I will be utterly amazed if we change from the 4231. JDT's thinking seems to be along the lines of "in for a penny, in for a pound".
Where would we get a pound from??

Better to admit failure than to seek a greater one.
I didn't say I agreed with it.

I would give a call to Forest or Newcastle and try to get one of their surplus experienced keepers on loan for the rest of the season.
I think it would be a complete admission of failure for them to get another keeper on loan after spaffing our only cash on Leo. My guess is they will protect their reputation and Pears will be the keeper for the rest of the season.

Just a note...JDT was signed by Kenny Dalglish at Newcastle..yes the one brilliant manager that gave us our one and only Premier League title! He was signed to link up with Alan Shearer... Just that is some stuff!
He's learnt from some really good managers. I really hope we win this and then go on a good run.....sadly our inept owners with Waggot et al around makes it so depressing...
Wayne Rooney was managed by Alex Ferguson.
Frank Lampard was managed by Mourinho, Ancelotti, Solari.
Steve Gerrard was managed by Benite...forget about that one 😄
Not sure how much notice these players take.

Would you genuinely play Ennis, Telalovic or Leonard over him? Especially considering that the owners you keenly defend will as you touch on likely pocket the money and not reinvest any. We wont be banking it, the owners will.
He is a bang average Championship striker, he will get you 8-10 goals a season, hes quite quick, powerful, strong, decent in the air in both boxes. A fairly well rounded player who will never threaten the top scorers chart. Offering far more than the other 3 strikers we have and probably about standard for a lower mid table side, every team below us would have him in the side.
It shows the state that the owners have put us in that he has become so important, but there you go.
None of the people that have justified a potential sale have gone on to say that any of the other 3 strikers are any better, because they clearly arent of the required standard, and many of those who have are deluding themselves into thinking that we would reinvest and get an upgrade. A normal club with interested owners, a totally different dilemma and one that would surely lead to a sale.
All this talk of a bang average championship striker, we are not even a bang average championship team.
Is there better forwards? Yes
Do they play for us? Fuck no!
We are in a relegation battle and letting anyone be sold so we can fund the loan of a premiership kid who will take a few months to find their feet is madness.
I think some people still think we are trying for the playoffs.

Talk of him declaring for Hungry and not Ireland. Might explain his reticence to join up with the Irish squad on the last 2 call ups.
Best of luck to him I guess, though he would have been an asset to the Republic.

Wouldn't surprise me to see him go Ipswich.
They wouldn't sell him would they?
I mean it would be the equivalent to taking xx Million to accept relegation.
How much would Ipswich offer? They hardly have 10m? I assume that would be the minimum we would be talking about.

Unfortunate Venkys run the club and will have this £20m penciled in their budgets. They know as much about football as I do about chicken feed.
I think we will struggle to get market value for any of our players as we are seen to be broke and desperate for cash.
