Our announcer said Griezman dived, I wish they had a 2nd look at it ... Free Kick, France scored, 10 minutes later, Croatia draws it up.

There is something to learn from Croatia, they are setting up attacks all the bloody time in this match. Something that England and others can take note of....

He did dive, was blatantly obvious too. Ref shouldn't have missed it.

Belgium get another, Belgium might even be more disappointed than England in this World Cup; this was a World Cup, they had a very good shot at. They could do nothing against France.

In fairness the France Belgium game, even at the time was clearly the final either team would have crushed England or Croatia. I expect the final tomorrow to be a 1:0 or 2:0 stroll for France.

Let me say this again I am here to talk Rovers and football topics. so please stop implying so.

Has Woodburn ever played in the championship?

Why would you just try for the sake off to sign a player when its unlikely we could sign them? seems like a waste of time to myself. I expect Wilson to go to Rangers on loan shortly.

You think juventus were 100% sure they could sign Ronaldo? Maybe they should have made all their signings so they were guaranteed to get them rather then taking a chance on s9meone good

  4. Will you live to regret Sterling not squaring it to the unmarked top goal scorer in the world cup??

I must admit it doesn't look like it, Sweden look shambolic. The only thing going for them in this match was a solid defense but they look all over the place at the moment.

I thought Hoddle did a good job for England too.

I was talking being a top club manager through winning club trophies. Don't really think Venables falls in that category. One FA Cup with Spurs and one La Liga with Barca. Bobby Robson is a good shout. He won the league all over Europe (Holland, Spain, Portugal). Less successful in England though - but got an FA Cup and UEFA cup with Ipswich.

Looking at this list is quite interesting. You have to go back to Bob Paisley to find a dominant English manager. Why did he never get the job?

Didnt Woy have a successful career all over europe?

The National Team has been going backwards for years. Is there anybody who watched last night's game that thinks we could have beaten either of those teams ?  I've seen most of this World Cup and we're miles behind in terms of individual ability to lots of the teams that competed here. We don't produce the creative play makers that the top teams do, the Hazards, James Rodriguez, Modric, Countinho, Golozin etc. We just produce stodgy runners who can occasionally run past people but can rarely beat a man with the ball at their feet or pick out a clever pass. It's all so obvious,  predictable and easy to play against.

I like Southgate as a bloke, if I had a daughter he'd be a great son-in-law, but I'm not convinced by him. To be honest until we come up with strategies to bring through the next Gascoigne, Bobby Charlton, Johnny Haynes we'll struggle.

I live facing a huge common. In the past when I was a young guy it was thronged with kids playing football. Throughout this World Cup I haven't seen one game of coats for goals  football taking place there. Not one. When my grand kids visit they never think of going for a kick about, it's computerised games all the time.

In fairness England seem to be lethal from set pieces and crosses and I think that would be the undoing of a lot of the weaker teams in the last 16. You would have destroyed Japan. I also think Belgium would have an easier time against Columbia then they did with the Japanese.

A lot of the teams are defending narrow but noone seems brave enough to play with real width except Mexico against the Germans.

  7. You have to feel for the Japanese, they were immense, defended superbly for most of the game without sitting at the edge of the box. In fairness I think their legs had gone and they would have lost it in extra time and that's why they took a chance with the corner.

The BBC pundits will have to backtrack at full time. The narrative was all about when the Belgium Prem boys finally turned it on. Ignorant twunts. Japan are incredibly technical and comfortable on the ball. No Prem boys though so they must be shit.

Didi Hamaan working on Irish TV predicted this before the game, said Japan would be too committed for the Belgians.

Its been one of the best World Cups I have seen so how you can come up with an opinion like this without even watching hardly any of it is stupid. How can you expect others to respect your opinion on anything when you trot out crap like this?

Maybe Tony Mowbray has said its been a poor world cup?

Yup them and Croatia really shoe that being a small nation doesn't need to be a hindrance.

Wonder how many world cups Yugoslavia would have won if they had stayed together. Think of a mix of the Serbian and Croatian teams with some of the best players from Switzerland (assuming their families had stayed)

Should have gone to a proper club in a competitive league instead of following the money in a one team league.

Agree completely needs to get a move away from PSG. No doubt Madrid will be circling soon. Would prefer embappe to neymar ever day of the week and twice on Sundays
