I don’t necessarily agree with that, yes play the players that are in form and dack could do with being dropped when his head goes down but some people rave too much about rothwell , he was playing in dead rubbers at the tail end last season, he still needs to be more consistent and not try Hollywood stuff all the time. Sure more game time but not in a shoehorned position, I like wingers playing on the wing

I see dack and rothwell in the same role so one or the other in the hole behind the one up front mowbray likes to play, my above post was for plan b which we didn’t have last season. Gives us options

I may be in the minority but I’d be happy with Gallagher, unfairly judged on a horrendous season with us when he was playing with poor players for a poor manager. Still scored some good goals that year. I would still like us to sign another winger, a Jamal Lowe or a Marcus Maddison - can also play left back. Then when we were chasing a game it would give us chapman one side, new winger on the other, Johnson and Travis/ Davenport holding, and a combo of either graham/ brereton or Gallagher/ Armstrong depending on the opposition. Downing is more of a holding winger than a bomb these days. I don’t like Armstrong or rothwell on the wing get rid of Smallwood, nuttall, Samuel and Evans for me

Darlow was suggested but due to Newcastle’s situation they aren’t selling anyone until new manager comes in and assessed. They didn’t want to sell Pérez but Leicester met trigger. I believe raya won’t be concluded until one of the three we are going for is confirmed

Gallagher bid today, medical over weekend, confirmed Monday. Far Down the line with a prem lg defender loan, what position I couldn’t tell you. Mowbray wants to play mcgloire a lot as he rates him. I don’t see much more than that after gk, defender and Gallagher. Perhaps another loan

Yea I’m kind of in the fence with this one, yes it’s better than last years but it’s so obvious and nothing to get excited about. Relegation, so we couldn’t finish higher than the previous season, then with biggest budget, scraped past the powerhouse that is Shrewsbury. Not winning title when we had opportunity to. When flying high in January he pressed the self destruct button and we plummeted to being the laughing stock of the league at one point. Not addressing our defence in how many windows? But aye he is marvellous, totally going to be promoted in 2045!

I must ask though, he may have good passing ability but what would we use it for? Danny Graham to run in behind? Not going to happen. In my opinion we need a better engine in there, a leader and somebody who can chip in with a few goals, long range efforts and runs into the box. Celtic passed up on the boy David turnbull from Motherwell due to a knee knock that’s going to take 6 months to heal, but he could well be this years mcginn and has everything we need. I’d take a punt on him rather than Adam. Failing that iv always thought cattermole would get us ticking. Him and Travis could be usefull

Sunderland were playing in a different league from the one we had, they should also have went up easily, I wouldn’t want their manager either. Giving kudos for mowbray getting us out a poor league one is one of the reasons we are in the position that we are. Tosh in my opinion, a monkey could’ve got us up from that league the year we were in it with the squad we had , quality was amazingly poor. They would probably have won the title too

Well it’s the supporters that have been taken in for Tony for too long I feel sorry for. Not really much pleasure out of it but I was calling for a change in manager half way through league 1 and I still say Tony isn’t the man for this task. Next season I see nothing but more frustration, same mistakes and Tony giving the fans more lip service that they lap up and insist he knows what he is doing and is a man of the people. Floundering around 15th all season is my prediction

Raya single handily throw away points for us last season by silly errors and poor judgement/ temperament. He has been given years now to make the position his own, can’t say he hasn’t been given the chance and yet there is still massive question marks on him. He needed a stronger year last season and he didn’t have it, next!

Sorry mate I don’t think we can afford to go and get a Becker. We are swimming in the pool of unwanted/ untested/ question marks on recent seasons hoping a move sparks them. He is undoubtedly talented and better than raya on his day

Sell raya and get say a fraser foster and I will be happy. Every player has a aprice if we can use the money to upgrade
