It’ll have to do as it’s now official 🙈

Our club announcing it after 10pm smacks of embarrassment about the appointment and awaiting the backlash. I didn’t want Alex Neil initially so have to give TM a chance to prove me wrong. Maybe he can now push Van Hecke over the line as we were being linked with him

Heck (yeah i did that) of a player if you get him. Ideally he comes back here but not sure whats going on. Think we want him permanent or something.

You have to give credit to fourth division Bournemouth and Boscombe Athletic. An embarrassing defeat and apparently  unacceptable post match comments and  they acted swiftly and decisively to axe the manager.

Contrast with our lot who did nothing after an equally embarrassing 7-0 home loss last season. I know we then went on a stellar run but that proved to be an aberration.

The point is Bournemouth is a dynamic club with a  proactive management that dealt quickly with a problem. Waggott and his mates would have just shrugged their shoulders and mumbled something about a long term project

He wasnt sacked because of the results. No chance they expected points from thoise first 4 games.

He was sacked because of his comments.

No idea who this guy is, simply picked it up off NewsNow. He's saying Breton wants help us to promotion and then leave.

Then he should agree to a new contract with a release clause you'd think.

Yeah, we did that link a few pages back. So honourable of him to help the club by staying, not signing a contract, and losing the club 15 million so that he can try to fire us all to the PL and he get a fat signing on wegde somewhere.

That's what should have been done here. Give him a season to get you anchored in this division then bin him off for someone decent.

Exactly, would be remembered more fondly too. He did a lot of good for us which is often forgotten. Got us straight back up at first attempt and then re-established us. Should have gone around that time though when it was clear he is not the kind of manager that kicks on from mid table.

With around 100 hours to go, its shaping up like this,

Brittain, Morton, Szmodics, Sepp, Hyam and Hirst in.

BBD out which will open door to. potentially a couple more coming in.

Players that could be revisited Maja, Styles, Bowler, Van Hecke.

BBD sale likely to generate an additional £5 mill to spend, though with wages issue cap, i still think we will struggle to improve on 4 in, with the 4th a direct BBD replacement, which is likely to come from abroad due to uk transfer fees offering little value.

    Hirst is coming?

Dyche is out of Sunderland’s league with his £5m a year wage demands.

Mowbray is perfect for them right now, a club hanging around in league 1 for years, he’ll give them stability and Van Hecke if we’re not careful.

He aint earning 5 mil a year now and who else is gonna pay that?

Dyche was ready to take over at Sunderland a few years ago until Advocaat changed his mind.

Dyche might have been approached. He is not a fashionable coach in the PL, but he knows how to get out of this division. Mowbray vs Dyche is no competition - still, at least it means there is one less team to worry about.

They didn’t have much of a choice, but filled the managerial position in quick time, could you imagine us doing that…..would take weeks if not months in the same situation.

Mowbray will do well there, I wish him well.

They had choice. They just made a panic appointment. That they did that in quicktime is not a surprise, TM as much as he misses his family and wants a home life, has quickly gone and got another job....

I guess he can at least head his balls in his backgarden closer to home.

There are candidates out there - Dyche for one. A decent sized club like Sunderland should have been all over that.
