If we'd spent (and made) as much as Burnley and in 15th place after a month, I'd be getting twitchy.
Let's see how the team looks by the end of the transfer window. Clearly we're after a couple of defenders, and maybe a midfielder.
The big worry for me is there's no talk of bringing in a goalscorer and aside from BBD who alternates between Brereton and Diaz match to match, we don't have much if a goal threat up front. If he doesn't play well, we don't score.
Why the bloody hell is anyone looking at the league table after 5 games ?? Burnley was 5th before the Blackpool equaliser now 15th apparently..5 games lads ..5 games ..

It's an admission for a manager when you make 3 changes at HT that you got the starting like up very wrong.

Dack made a point of walking over to clap the fans at full time. Really felt for him. If you aren’t given even 5 minutes at 3-0 up you must feel fed up.
No room for sentiment Herbie ..JDT setting out his stall ..i like it .

In typical fashion from one of the huge plastic clubs the comments on McCarthy were really something when it was announced on twitter
'Who ?'
'Never heard of him'
'Did he coach a big club before ?'
'Who the hell is this guy'
'I think he played for West Ham or Everton once'
On another note is Chris Samba still at Ewood and if so what does he do ?
Well he was at the game yesterday

We’ve already missed out on one, believed to be the Bosnian who chose the Blades over us.
Has this been confirmed we missed out ?
As in ..we were definitely in for him ?

For the second consecutive season we will not be wearing our traditional colours.
Next season may as well have blue and white stripes.
Aye yes .. ..traditional ..i liked it best when when some of the team had the blue n white halves reversed to the the rest of the team .. #Traditional ..

Yeah there's loads of free parking within a short distance unless you're particularly bone idle....
A better idea is a bit of a pub crawl though, weathers looking decent for it 😎
Looking forward to welcoming the new gaffer.
Yep the Manchester Rd / Whalley Rd pub crawl is very decent.
Grants , Tiger Lounge ,Arden ,Crafty Fox ,Hustle ,Broadway ,Castle ,Grey Horse ,Crown and then straight to bed..f@ck the footie ..😜

Good stuff. I was just wondering if there’s any decent boozers vaguely near the ground. Nothing wrong with the crown but it occurred to me the other day it’s literally the only pub ever been to in accy pre rovers/dingles friendlies. Do either of those 2 other ones show sport do you know? Looking to watch the egg chasing pre match
The Whittakers has Sky ..the Peel doesnt im afraid.
Coleys as as pointed out by @MarkBRFC is allowing Home and Away fans in and does have Sky. Think its a capacity of 300?.
The pubs in the town centre will most probably be open mid morning ,The Bees Knees and The Stanley (used to be The Railway ) on Blackburn Rd are welcoming fans.
As K-hod also pointed out theres The Grey Horse five mins away on Whalley Rd and in the opposite direction ( Clayton-Le-Moors) theres The Albion (very cheap ale) who do have Sky and are also welcoming fans. (20min walk)

Well it's always been my experience that the streets around the ground are very thin, there's trees all over the sides of the roads and driveways. Unless you're there very early, you end up a walk away.
Spot on Joe.
The roads around the ground are as you say. And the streets on the other side of Whalley Rd opposite the Crown pub have houses which most have drives making very limited parking ..and irate householders!!
Another imo opinion better suggestion would be to park at the Whittaker Arms on Burnley Rd ,Walk down Whitewell Rd (virtually directly across from the pub) ..across the railway bridge ,past the cricket ground and onto Stanley 15-20mins walk at the tops. Large beer garden at the Whittakers too. Quick getaway up Burnley Rd to the M65 too. You may even get to see the Italian Womens Euro squad training as they are based at the Stanley Hub directly next to the cricket ground ..
And a further 5-10mins walk away off Burnley Rd is the Peel Park .Parking there too ..big beer garden and you can drink and survey Stanleys old ground in front of you plus look at the old Stanley pictures on the pub walls.

It depends what time you arrive. About an hour before kick off there will be plenty of street parking but given that there should be a big crowd these will be taken up quickly. There is a big car park behind the away end on Livingstone Road and last season a donation was required to access this.
Accrington Cricket Club last season was letting away fans park on their car park and use the clubhouse.
Not sure if they will with the cricket season on ,maybe depends on whether their "1st's" are at home or away.
Cricket club ten minutes walk away.

It's a trek from Manchester to Sheffield - almost as long as the flight from Malmo to Manchester. Surely a small plane like that could land at Leeds / Bradford?
Manchester airport closer to Sheffield than Leeds.
