it's the opening bid never accept the opening bid the fact that they have bid earlier than last day of window suggests to me there will be discussions on the fee. Its no good to us tho as it will dissappear no matter how much the club gets

was from an account with 30 followers that has 0 credibility nothing to do there.

Sounds as though he fits JDTs tactics to a T. Left back who can slot into midfield in the system. Might be a gem but personally was hoping for a plain old school left back that won't leave us exposed
there is literally nothing to say he would not be.

They did the same with Kaminski, dropped him then sold in summer
tbf in this case it's not the first time he's been dropped.

Fair point, we don’t know whether or not a release clause was included in the original contract. I think it is unlikely given that was before he really had a profile and the fact that he is a Blackburn lad and Rovers is his club. I would be amazed if there isn’t a release clause within the new deal but you’re right, I would imagine it probably is well in excess of the £15m level, I bloody hope it is.
also that was not a blast at you tbh just the general things on here where if they don't sign deals it's bad we are wrong yet if they do it's because we are selling them that other posters constantly put up.
the constant negativity of some is hard to listen to and take. We are are a trading club atm and everyone does have a price tag so giving ourself safety in contracts is the only way forward.
also Penworth blue that's not aimed at you.

I'd say since Alex scott went to Bournemouth for 25m we must be looking at least that.

A racing certainty that a release clause is embedded within the contract but I imagine it is at a decent level, at least £15m is my guess.
so you think we have gone from a 2027 contract with no release clause to adding a 15m one for a year extra how does that even make sense think about it. It actively goes against the interests of the club I'm not saying no release clause but 15m is way to low.

That just ensures we get a decent fee for once.
we had plenty time to run on that deal why pay him more for a month or so if your plan is to flog him in January.
also I'm fully aware that if a top bid comes in we would consider it but this is just baseless sales talk when all indicators point in the opposite direction.

Actually concerned that a bid för Sammy S is a real risk with the money used to keep the lights on
not sure you would bother with the new deal if the plan was to flog him.

I liked the look of Dembele tonight. Big, strong, fast, skilful, we don't have a striker like him
he's as much a striker as sammie tbf and only a bit taller

However he'd sat on his arse watching his team mates running their arses off, was thrown on for the last 5 minutes and couldn't be arsed to move his fat arse for the cause.
Zero Arte et Labore from him. He turned up out of condition on the first day and has missed the first 2/3 months of the season.
He's a feckin shambles!
I disagree with every thing in this post such rubbish

I think it was a header close to him and he was struggling to get down quick enough and caught in two minds to maybe try and push it away until he saw hyam. was still a mistake tho he should have saved it

A decent keeper goes out and knocks that away.

We’ve punched ourselves out and to be honest, scoring three away from home should be a win. We can’t legislate for a keeper that’s contributing to the opposition’s xG.
The rally early second half is good, Siggy looked good, Leonard looked good, Szmodics is on a good run of scoring. Those are the positives, at least.
this is all so true bit needs the manager to recognise the keeper situation that we can all see clear as day.

pretty much will get the usual we tried but could not get the players we wanted then the money will vanish next season and we will get a nice story about leasing another bus.
