How does the parachute payments work? Dingles on twitter have been quick to point out that they won't get any because they have gone straight back up again.
Assume they just got one last payment from the PL and the parachute payments would have kicked in at the end of this season, if they failed to go up?
you get 3 years of parachute payments they will have received around £ 40m this year they would have been due £35m next season and £15m the year after had they not been promoted this year.
-
The thing that really winds me up is the fact that sheffield united with the advantages of parachute payments have been being funded by payments from a potential owner who cannot get ratified by the football league thus far. added to the fact the signed there best defender from under us and failed to pay for him as well as others yer nothing has been done about them.

Christ, don't leave me here on my own, Longers !!
My view is that we get a very fair hearing, but treading the line between analysis, fair comment and banter is a tricky one on a rival's board .... you will occasionally get it wrong, or invoke the wrath of a rival supporter who's got out of bed the wrong side, or had a sense of humour failure !
The way I see it is its an Internet message board it's here for discussion rival views are always welcome from me I might disagree even go to far myself but open for everyone to have their say.

I first came on in the day's pre-social media - my guess is to "trash talk" about an upcoming game and I've just stayed around. That said, this season, more than any since 2004, it has become clear the majority don't welcome my presence so you'll see very little of me going forwards.
Well I think it would be a shame if you were chased off the board i enjoy your contribution to the site.

He’s having a great game but comparing against Zidane n Xavi might be getting a little carried away at this moment in time 😂😂😂
ha its not his all round game just the way he takes the ball and can always turn and find space on the half turn not that he's on that level

I'd say as well outside of the hustle and bustle of the championship Wharton would be even better honestly think if his attitude is right the skys the limit for the boy

Wharton always think 2 or 3 moves ahead before he's even got the ball. He's for me the best player we've produced since Damien duff
my brother who's a Liverpool fan was struggling to come up with a comparison for him but says the way he takes the ball and moves is like a xavi

Yep, I've been saying for a long time, Dolan just isn't a footballer. Looked lost and shouldn't play for us again.
give over he did not do well tonight but clearly good enough at this level

10 mins for young Harry is a joke. He needs a run and he Will score I'm sure of that.
I a rare moment I 100% agree with you here

It’s very clear that if we had a striker who could score goals and a midfielder who could dictate play- we would be closer to the top 2 forget top 6. I think this season is a step too far but I’m excited for next season.
we have a cm who can play great football but he was dropped

if the coaching team can't see Wharton adds way more going forward than the cms who started I dunno what they are doing

I rate jdt and can understand why you would want another attacker in there but the call to leave Wharton on the bench and start Morton ( who I actually think gets some unfair stick on here) genuinely baffles me.

not so much just this game but the fact sheffield united can beat us to a player by offering more financially then not pay for him yet escape any punishment is scandalous

Think Gally worked hard all night...Garrett showed some great energy coming on...the rest can do slot better... hopefully Diaz scoring again could be crucial!
tbf a Garrett type was something we needed way earlier

deserved nothing out of that but if we are awarded the stonewall pen we probably take a point.
- 2
-
that's a pen for us which would be huge.
They should also have had a pen but if they do then it's still 2 anyway ours changes the way the game is going.

too flat so far not wanting it enough second to everything so far.
