Well he played the whole season for a team who got relegated to League 1 so yes that’s exactly what he was once we signed him.
When was the last time he played there?

Some over reach there. The season ticket line in particular is extremely laughable.
We just signed a league 1 full back whose fans seem pretty happy that he is leaving, whilst letting our own adequate player leave on a free.
I’m seeing ‘young’ ‘energetic’ etc. He’s the same age as Nyambe! We’ve just paid a fee to sign someone who is only potentially an improvement purely because we can’t handle our own affairs.
Not really a league one full back is he tho bit like Wigan fans saying they have just signed some unemployed fella.

Bit like the chap he replaced...😒
Not really no hate from nyambe he was a great servant for the club but the amount of times he got into positions to cross and chose to just play a pass back used to drive me mad.

“Of course, at the moment we have (players in) that position, if he should come in, then there could be players on loan.”
Does this mean that it will be Brittain and then loans after that? Or is it just maybe slightly imperfect English?
Think he means if we sign him we would loan out players we already have

It was a loan with an option to buy rovers offered
Are you sure pretty sure I read he was in last year of his contract so that deal would not make a lot of sense

3) Assume for a moment that Hourihane turned Rovers down and chose Derby instead. This is what Hourihane said about choosing to sign for Derby:
"I am 31 and I was looking for something that was going to excite me, something that I can be a big part of.
I've played all the way from League Two up to the Premier League but having analysed it as a free agent I was thinking what do I want next, what do I want to achieve and what do I want to be a part of? Derby ticked all of the boxes".
The inference being that the Rovers project did not excite him and that he'd rather play in League 1 at a club that he saw as having a plan.
Why are we assuming this. You can't just pick random comments and use them to read between the lines about Blackburn.
Take this quote.
I am the egg man
They are the egg men
I am the walrus
Goo goo g'joobNow clearly the writer is saying that he is the egg man but with his second line jdt is also one of the egg men but the killer is that jdt is not the walrus if we read between the lines it's clear what's being referenced here. He then goes on to say goo goo g'joob if that's not a dig at the Blackburn project then I don't know what else is.

Wait have we gone from some people on here wanting hourihane to him slagging us off I don't really care what he said about joining Derby County as we were never in for him so those comments are just someone using something he said to beat the club with.

We benefited from it when relegated - just wasted it on Kean, Murphy, Etuhu etc
Ha well this much is true we did not get much benefit tbf

Ffp needs to be scraped or restructuring as its not fair play when several teams in the division are receiving finacial doping

I would say Nyambe could play in the premier league
You look at full backs like Van Aanholt who made a career from being physically better than wingers. Nyambe can be as good as him.
Let’s stop throwing shade at Nyambe who has been a great player for us over the years. He’s as good a right back you can get in this league if you ask me. The only thing he lacks is pinpoint crossing but I still think the right coaching can get that out of himlet me put it this way, I think Nyambe is a bigger loss than Lenihan
PVA Was a better player and always will be than Nyambe and tbh its not even close.

I'd struggle to see hiw they could afford him the Armstrong sale is a bench mark possibly even want more for him given what we paid

He was only a late Jan loan, so he did play 93% of Bordeaux's minutes after joining.
I was unaware that previously playing in England could mean the GBE points calculation doesn't apply to him? But he well-qualified in any case given a combo of Ligue 1 minutes and continental minutes (plus winning the Swedish league with Malmo helps a bit).
Certainly an intriguing option. Let's see...
While I'm at it, Berget also qualifies, largely due to Champions League minutes. So, something to look out for in terms of the eligibility of potential Scandi links is whether their team played in the Champions League (or Europa...)*, which would also likely mean league positioning points, even if the Allsvenskan, etc. don't get a lot of points weighting.
*Edit: as I look at it a bit more, that's for if they made it to the group stage in one of those tournaments. Hence, poaching players from Malmo FF after they made it to the CL group stage shouldn't be an issue. Only a couple points available if you play a lot of Europa Conference minutes...
Would bergets past with Cardiff not help with his permit
-
Would be good moves players we can bring in with no permit issues due to their past connections to the UK. Maybe we do have a bit if a budget some of the zeefuick money going to

Bowyer left years ago i'm not sure why we have to be headlining birthday greetings on twitter to every ex manage and player. I want to see current club news on there.
It's nice to be nice but sometimes you have to just let go and move on leave the OTT virtue signalling to Lineker and the like.
It doesn't matter does it them doing that takes little to no time out their day and is a nice touch.

Kind of like a manager and a head scout then.
More you would say a conduit between the head scout manager communicates what he needs relays the message and dof works with scouting team to sign a player who fits the remit allowing the manager to focus on coaching the team. I think for most clubs gone are the days where the manager does all the leg work.
-
It all depends on if they trust him enough to implement his vision in my opinion a dof should oversee the football vision of the club this should be down to choosing a manager which it would seem he's not going to.
But moving forward he has to be able too that way if we loose a manager we are not yo yoing from one which plays football to another who say wants to go long there in theory should be a shortlist there in place of who we want to carry on with implementing the vision.
Of course we all know how this club runs and we will have 5 or 6 people holding interviews from different rooms with different people and who ever gets the owners ear will get their choice.

You'd also assume the potential £15m coming in would be in instalments as well.
If we take that as true then I'd assume the 15m Armstrong deal is not all upfront

Correct me if I'm wrong but the £7m we spent was an out going in 2018 anything we have coming in would be an incoming in 2022 the financial cycles last 3 years so the 7m loss is off the books this year but the possible 15m going in would be on.

Sorry I must be asleep...
Bought for 7m...probably get 15m for him...leave 8m...1.6m to forest and 6.4m left....am I wrong?
But we are getting the 7m back plus the rest on top there's nothing to say we can't reinvest the original cash. If I own my house and sell my house for more than I bought it for I have the original outlay+ the profit to spend no?

15m minus 7m minus sell on clause of 20% and we left with 6m.....we will see feck all
Why minus 7m the 20% would be off any profit made on the sale if there is a sell on so at £15m would leave 13/14m not 6m. Tho I do agree we would see fa of it tbf.

Meanwhile look at who Forest and Middlesbrough signed. Next you'll tell me 'we couldn't afford it' or 'FFP'
Middlesbrough lost a lot more than we did last year. Signed Connolly and Balogun. No problems scoring goals.
Joke transfer window conducted by joke operators.
Tbf Dilan will be at the club beyond the end of the season and the players you mentioned are hardly banging them in.

He was hobbling at one point towards the end and at one point when the ball was out of play you could see him trying to stretch his hammys

Post press conference from Tony reckons Nyambe may be weeks rather than months. Let’s hope so! I thought Zeefuik was decent when he came on though, reminds me of a cross between Cafu and Jeff Kenna
