A bit of a pointless comment considering Megson didn't get results either.
But if you're happy to continue watching us do sweet FA game after game, get consistently embarrassed by our bitterest rivals etc then be my guest.
Not a chance Venky's back JDT with anywhere near enough to make this football work at the level we need it to.
Time will tell.
”Get a Big Sam type who can get results”
Well give us a Samba, Nelsen, Salgado, Warnock, Prime Dunn, Pedersen, McCarthy etc first and then we’ll talk managers.
The squad isn’t good enough atm. We’re over achieving. A bit of quality and depth and we’ll be up there, agree we might not get it, but this is as close as we’ve been and we’ve done it with half a team.

No, we need a player in his style (someone who can hold the ball up).
We don't need that actual fat, balding prick under any circumstance.
I don’t even think we need that.
We need someone who can finish.

Is it? I keep hearing that word "improvement" but if you're playing "well" but not creating chances/picking up points consistently, you're not playing well.
Give me Big Sam's football with actual results any day of the week.
Yes let’s throw out all of the good work and get a Gary Megson in. Smart.

Would you take 4 points from the last two games if offered now? Even that could well be enough.
I’d probably be happier to piss the league next year and pass Jesse Marsch’s Burnley on the way up.

Got to take the positives, because the alternative is therapy.
If we can keep JDT, the squad we’ve got, add some forwards and a little experience in the middle… we can piss this league.
The improvement is enormous.
Stings like a bitch though. We played them off the park.

Looks an interesting study. Best of luck with it.

Is it? It's 40 miles from Valencia. You can get there on Ryanair.

If 50% reckon he was overrated and 50% think he was underrated then he's probably rated about right.

Kaminski saves the Sheff Utd winner. In fact, any half decent keeper would have done.
Incredibly harsh for me. It's struck brilliantly, moving all over with power.
Anyway, it doesn't matter what we do, a real catch 22. If we start TK and he makes a mistake, we should've kept Pears, if Pears throws one in we should've started TK.
Tbh I'm happy with either but would prefer Pears to keep his spot.

Not having a Qashqai on the wing either.
Get a tricky little MX5 on there.

I'll be getting the train and having a day on the ale.
Hoping to achieve 1.5pts per gallon.

I was maybe young and naive at the time, but it didn’t seem a shock that Rovers would spend that kind of money or that he would sign here at all.
It’s only in hindsight and everything that has followed since that makes me sit here now and think - “Wow, we had Andy Cole”.
Great player, good times.

Never said that either. I am torn, it undoubtedly is more accurate, but takes away spontaneity.
Ruined my celebration of the Szmodics goal a bit. From my angle he looked a mile off and I was expecting it to be ruled out.

Of course we aren't blameless. But I really wouldn't be happy with the club if on promotion we spent 10m and gave a lad a dream move, then kicked him out of the door for JonJo Shelvey after 6 games worth of minutes.

I'd be rather pleased if our owners showed the same initiative in securing a PL place and actually then try to keep it.
Can't argue though about Cooper.
They signed him after promotion. We might have messed up the deal but they messed with his career.

Let’s hope we have a chance to find out.
9 men plus keeper literally on the goal line. Diaz on halfway.

They’re just a total nothing club. They’re only the third most important club in the history of their own city, let alone in a position to think they’re of any relevance to the history of game nationally.
Hallam FC would say 4th

Feels to me like we will do well to get a result out of this one. Sheffield Utd are a good side, will have looked back at how we beat them, and set themselves well up. They've got the pace and athleticism to hurt us on the break out wide.
Would love a win, we've got a good chance, but just feel that Sheffield Utd will adapt and make it very difficult for us.
Let’s not give them too much credit here. They were well beaten at ours a couple of weeks ago.
Their manager is a jumped up wannabe hard man PASHUN merchant. “Play like a non-league side and give the ball to Ndiaye/Berge” seems to be the extent of his tactical prowess. Certainly not expecting him to totally outfox JDT or have us worked out.
We just have nothing to fear. Play to the best of our ability, with a loud away end behind us, and all the pressure on them…
We really have a great chance.
Incoming 5-0 Blades 😅

I'd agree if our bench didn't have such little experience. These are big games now with big moments and throwing on 18 year olds could be risky.

Carroll's height and physical presence worries me - he never really realised his potential - but on his day, with the right service - he can be difficult to mark. For certain our full backs will have to work hard to stop crosses into the box.
Very hard to play against on his day. Huge powerful bloke that will throw himself at anything and steamroller anyone in his way. Set pieces a risk. If they're pumping long balls due to our high press it could play into their hands too and there's not many defenders in the world that would enjoy marking him.

Won’t be many left on the pitch if they’re flying in like they were at Ewood. Could’ve done with VAR then!

It’s handball. But can’t expect that to be given at this level, at that speed etc. It is what it is. Would rather try and focus on the performance.
